I personally like optimization. Keeps my PC from being reduced to a smoking pile of cinders when I start a demanding game.
Good looking game does not necessarily equal high system requirements.

ps. I dont think many people realize what it takes to have a full 3d map full of models moving, wishing for a 128/256 card to be sufficient is just plain dumb.
dont know where ur from, in a same manner u dont know where half of the people in here are from, i download a movie in 5 minutes, i hear in australia their bandwith is limited, i hear in other countries it takes several hrs to download a movie and in some countries its even hard to get internet... u cant know what difficulties people face, u should be feelin bad for them not being able to play the game instead of jumping at their throats coz your computer is strong enough....

comeback from video to pdf
Sanctuary
Inspiration: Asia (Japan, China, India and Thailand).
Symbols: the eight petal lotus.
Worship: Shalassa, the Dragon Goddess of Water.
Country / kingdom: Hashima Island.
Capital city: Nariya (?).
Social organization: Nagas sworn fealty to the Eternal Empress, who is both the military and the spiritual head of the Naga society. They're amphibious creatures that live in and around water. They're striving for purity, and harmony. They strive for that inner peace, through the mastery of swordplay, and kung-fu. After a combat, you'll find them strolling around some cool lake, or a gentle stream, speaking to some water spirit, or in prayer to Shalassa.
Strategy
The Naga strategy on the battlefield is to focus support on one Champion creature. and to limit the enemy's movement with various crowd-control abilities. Sanctuary creatures are deadly duelists, at their best when they focus on a single enemy. Balanced between offense and defense, they favor coordination and precision over brute strength. Their water-based magic provides them with various means to disrupt the enemy movement, and rearrange its placement on the battlefield.
• Strengths:
• Weaknesses:
• Racial ability: Honor – grants them an all-purpose defensive blessing when they're engaged in a fair fight.

Well, but even the dev's said that they want to change certain things because the boss was easilly defeated.
Anyways, I just hope for a great challenge, because I want bosses to be so fun that they make me want to restart the map many times

The missing parts were on a German website
Strengths : High hitpoints and defense value - Strong magic.
Weaknesses : Expensive Units - Very limited ranged units - Their magic is slow to apply.

Sounds similar to dungeon...
High power and high price units togeter with strong magic and in H1,H2 and H4 dint quite have that many shooters plus A dragon or similar creature in the top spot.
Now about (their magic is slow to apply) I dont quite get what it means. Can someone explain it to me?

I'm thinking quick sand from H4. while you could just cast mass slow which is immediately effective, quick sand is only effective once opponents have reached it.

...exactly how does that sound similar to Dungeon? That's Necro or atleast similar to a facet of Necro. Slow to apply magic might mean that your hero needs a few turns of casting to fully unleash its potential. Perhaps spells work in combos it wouldn't make sense that the gain effectiveness over time once cast that'd be too unreliable and unstrategic. Perhaps you have to stack spell perks or cast X on a unit affected by mass spell Y or something. So not really "slow" as in it's cast slowly but they need time to set it up.

I'm not complaining about system requirements. My computer can actually handle those with a minimum of optimization, which would only cost me about thirty dollars total - and my computer is almost five years old.
I'm complaining about the blackballing mac users are getting. Sure, I could load bootcamp, which would require me purchasing Windows XP solely for the purpose of playing this one game, and likely an external hard drive because XP takes up a fair bit of space in itself - meaning that the initial investment for playing Heroes VI, before the actual cost of upgrading my RAM to fit (albeit barely) the modern standards of what my RAM should be, and before even buying the game, is $270. Which means that in order to actually play the game, I'm out almost four-hundred dollars.
Do I have disposable income? Yes, but it's limited. I don't have four-hundred dollars to spend on a game that by rights should only cost me eighty (and really, that's an absurd price tag to begin with, even for a collector's edition). No thank you.

Quote: Like I said though, I'm not informed enough to speak for disc versions. It's pretty relevant though because it has been stated that certain countries (US for example) will not have a disc version available.
Is this for serious? I love me my hard copy, and this will be a serious deterrent from me buying this game.
Also, is it just me or does the pre-order exclusive naga hero look a lot like a necro naga?

feeling really bad for the Mac users ....not releasing on consoles is understandable but there are many H6 gamers on Mac, and i only hope that Ubi turns its attention to them in the very near future.
on a brighter note....any guesses for the Naga catapult??? i think its gonna b pretty interesting.....hell it even could b a magical catapult since the nagas have strong magic. cant imagine a gigantic snake-dragon type creature throwing stones at enemy fortifications though

This should mean their only ranged unit is the Snow Maiden, right? We've seen the others in battle and they are all melee.
They probably have the upper hand against Necropolis (since their mobility is bad) but due to lack of core shooters, Haven & Stronghold have the initial advantage.

If you expect to run everything that gets published, you shouldn't buy a Mac! It's not excatly news, that not everything is released on Mac.
