I still find it ironic how the exterior of the city was expanded by reflecting town level, fortifications etc while the interior degenerated.
That said I'm not losing hope just yet. We and thousands of fans have made it clear what we want and I am fairly certain that ubi has received the message.

I disagree. Imo it's not so much about the amount of buildings, it's more about how out of place, unnatural, toyish, thrown in they look. "Empty" doesn't necessarily have to mean "ugly". Buildings don't blend in at all.

Did we even know about any types of wolves? Didn't they say there were 8 neutrals: 6 Elementals + Phoenix + Siren?

If this is true there are two possibilities.
1. They added a few more neutrals.
This is possible, they did mention keeping tabs on forum discussions.
2. There is no Water elemental, and possibly no Light elemental because they instead are part of town line-ups (like say Sanctuary and Haven).
2a: no water elemental.
2b: no light elemental.
2c: both no light and water elementals.
If 2c is true, that means there is one more neutral we haven't seen.
I have mixed feelings about this, I'm happy about there being another non-elemental neutral, but I'd be annoyed if there was not a proper Light and Water elemental to be summoned by appropriate elemental summoning spells, and it would be lame if there were but you summoned the Spring Spirit or Glory as they are part of faction line-ups.
Edit: I don't think they are two types of wolf, I think one is just standing in the shadows of a nearby cliff.

I don't think it will help. This "Pleasant Valley" looks incredibly odd even if we put aside the overall low quality of the drawing - a bunch of fancy houses placed in the middle of an empty valley. It looks small and expensive, like some area reserved strictly for patrician villas (or patrician bungalows... oh wait!). In short, even if it was larger and more detailed, it would still make no sense whatsoever.

You might have a point about the shadow.
Perhaps they just added another neutral? But one can always hope that they decided to discard the Glory or at least the Spring Spirit (pretty please) and come up with something different for Sanctuary.

Ok, true Alci that's option 3.
They changed the Glory and/or the Spring Spirit into neutrals, the elementals specifically.
But that seems ulikely, as much as I'd prefer it.
Because that still then implies that either the Wolf is part of Sanctuary or Haven, or it's an extra neutral.
This is all getting really confusing.

Right, I agree it seems unlikely, and I did not consider that such a solution would require the Wolf to be part of a town, and even if it *could* be in Haven, I find it highly unlikely.

Maybe it'll all have changed again in a month and when we play the beta it'll have been retitled Space Marines vs Pacman: the Final Showdown.
I'm looking forward to being surprised actually.

Another thing is, that a Wolf doesn't exactly cry out "Elite". So even if the two hated ladies would by replaced, or used to represent their elements. The tier system would make it highly unrealistic that the Wolf would by their replacement.
But this can only by true if the wolf is a core unite (and most of us remember that no Core neutrals were anouced) So if the wolf is a Core unite, it can only mean that they have indeed added new unites that were not anouced.
Edit:
Why is there such a fuss about the S-spirit and Glory.
1: Many people just do not like how they look
2: To many women in sanctuary
3: We suspect that there model is doubled and used as standard water and Light elemental
4: out of the 8 anouced neutrals 6 of them are suspected to be elementals
But... "IF" we would get more neutrals.. lets say 16.. (but that is a pure fantasy) I think most of the people would somehow get over that 1 or 2 of them are remade faction unites.
So if the wolf is an additional neutral, and we would get lets say 4 to 7 more neutrals.. I think they could somehow over deck the problematic elemental beauty duo

Core neutral will be a positive change to gameplay.
It will expand the opening fights of most maps by an additional creature, setting us at 16 different types of creature likely guarding your first lumbermill and ore-mine.
However, I have the feeling, that mixed stacks will be far more common in this instalment, almost every battle against neutral stacks we've seen in videos and screenshots is against a mixed stack, with only a few exceptions.
To be honest, it makes sense, in previous HoMM games, many creatures had abilities that specifically were designed around their allied stacks in the same faction, and when encountered alone, these kinds of creatures were highly impotent.
Example from HoMMV, a stack of Dryads was significantly less dangerous then the same number of their other upgrade counter parts, they had an ability that was useless without a stack of Treants on the battlefield.
Similarly, in HoMMVI, say Liches or Ghosts have abilities specifically designed to assist other stacks.
This problem is easily remedied by increasing the prevalance of mixed neutral stacks, and will greatly spice up neutral battles.

Okay so the wolves are throwing everyone off here now!
This is my train of thought:
- They couldn't add this neutral so late in the game (so it was kept hidden from us)
- Which means that there are no light or water elementals as these are faction based and cannot be summoned
Neutrals:
- Fire elemental
- Air elemental
- Earth elemental
- Dark elemental
- Phoenix
- Mermaid
- Wolf
- ?????
One missing.....still to be revealed

Which is basically my hypothesis on the previous page.
It was option 2.
I consider that the most likely.
I am at this moment in time convinced there is indeed a final neutral we do not know about.
I really am now wondering how the summoning spells are arranged if that is the case.
I had assumed it would be a summon elemental spell for every element but now that would have a rather large unsymetrical break in it, which isn't exactly the end of the world, but it does call in to question...
How are Water and Light magic going to be compensated, if that is the case?
Or are there no summon elemental spells?!
1 screenshot... SO MANY QUESTIONS!

There will be summon elemental spells....we saw the Summon Earth Elemental under Earth Magic tree screenshot.....
Think there will only be three summon elemental spells belonging to Fire, Earth and Air magic schools....and there might be summon phoenix spell beloning to Prime magic.....
The light and water magic schools don't need to be compensated, they'll just have other cool spells in their place....
All speculation though.
Here's another speculation:
Unknown Elemental will be = MANTICORE!!!!!
(Marzhin loves them especially in his Legends of Ancients campaign!)
