Other creatures that migrated from Dungeon are:
Centaurs, Gargoyles, Harpies, Griffins and Hydras.
Dragons spread out across other factions, Dungeon used to be the only town with a Dragon.
Medusae used to be neutrals and were then adopted by Dungeon.
It is more or less the least consistent faction when it comes to it's creatures.
I'm sorry, I love Dungeon but I love each individual incarnation and not for it's tradition, but for it's ability to in every single game, re-invent itself and still be awesome.
(with exception going to HoMMV where Minotaurs lost points for being enslaved, The shadow witch was the only elf it should have had cus elves suck and her upgrades were snows, Dragons were a bit... weak looking... like nobody propperly fed them... must have been an all-elf diet, it's bad for you, Hydra was the only creature with a full awesome rating.)
But yeah, Warlock/Dungeon, for the first three games was awesome, and my favorite faction, it's line-up inconsistencies did not matter at all.
In HoMMIII it's spot as favorite is shared with Fortress though.... gods I miss that town...

When I think of Minotaurs, I think of mazes and labyrinths underground...so always think of them belonging to Dungeon....besides it's difficult to think of them having demon blood pumped in them, even though I know they were included in the beastmen created by the wizards...
Okay, so next question:
Have Ubihole made more Neutrals in lieu of the release extension?
Seems strange, the reason I thought for the extension was to focus on balancing....which takes time, if you keep adding creatures or things to the mix, then it only extends further the release of the game...

Well Harpies and Centaurs have no demon blood either and yet they belong to the Stronghold.

You really expect an answer ?

They've delayed the game because of some bug that prevented the launch of the beta in due time not because of balance. Balance can easily be done during the beta especially with the input of the testers.

Well bear in mind, Dungeon was not always a faction that lurked underground, that was something that came in on HoMMIII, before that in I and II, Minotaurs in HoMM lived in hedge mazes, which I think actually worked fine at the time.
In regards to the delay.
I highly doubt they delayed just to add a few wolves, and bear in mind, they have a "naked creature" for every tier which makes it easier to create balanced creatures provided they don't have crazy qualitative abilities.
Adding the wolf will have been done by part of the development team that is not responsible for whatever part of the game caused the delay.
Say, (purely as example) localization needed to iron out something, that gives the guys who were working on creatures extra time, they won't ship the game untill it's fixed and with this sudden little snipet of extra time, they threw together an extra creature or two.
My point is: they will not have delayed the game specifically to add new creatures, the new creatures were added because of the delay.
They chose to react to the complaint of few neutrals.
Personally, whilst I'm not going to look a gift hor... wolf in the mouth, I'd have preffered it if they devoted all available resources to town-window/screens instead. (so any part of the team that has the required skills and time)

Who says they aren't ? Cepheus and Elvin said UbiHole clearly got the message. It's not because we've seen the exact same town screen that it means they haven't changed since then ? When has this video been made ? For what we know, the beta was aimed for mid-April and the video could have been done before. Who says they aren't waiting for the beta to show a new version and then wait for testers feedback ? I mean, there has to be a reason as to why they haven't shown any screenshot yet, no ? Most likely because it's still (again ?) a work in progress.

The beta is more of an opportunity to get gameplay feedback than show off some new shiny town full screens. It would make sense from a marketing perspective but somehow I wouldn't count on it. I know I'd have my focus elsewhere even if I was planning to have the screens ready for the release since there are plenty of pressing concerns. Maybe that's just me.

Elvin, Why did you say that. Now I think that Blackhole guys are making fullscreen town views because fans were outrage because of town little windows.

I would like to correct you. Beastman are mage made creatures, but not with demon blood.
Mages first created the orcs, Half humon hlaf demon.
Then they made the beast man, Hlaf human hlaf animals.
(for example minotaurs in Enroth were sometimes also described as magicly created)
And finally you had the constructs. Animated unliving mass (golems, gargoyls etc.)
So eventhou both Orcs nad minotaurs were created by the wizards, they are from a different experiment. "The next generation."

I have mixed feelings about the wolves.
On one hand, it's always good to have more creatures in the game.
On the other, they are just boring wolves. One can be more creative especially when the creature as being a neutral offers more variety in design.

Wolf is as good of a neutral creature as any, and so it is a good addition, the more the merrier.
However i won't like if there's too much reskins. 1 wolf is good, 2 different color wolves might make it more shallow. Hopefully it won't be overdone in that department.
On another note, today's M&M6 inspired snow theme is another nice entry in game's music score.
Overall the more time pass, the more i feel confident that release date delay was a good thing. Once we start seeing a lot of small additions like this, it means major concerns are either done or near completion.
My expectations for this game are rising with each new news release lately, and it brings overall positive vibe.

@Elvin:
I do not have any problems whatsoever with additional content of any kind, but is it too much to ask that they rectify their errors before they start adding new stuff? For me (and a whole bunch of other fans, apparently) the Town Windows/Screen issue seems important, much more important, than the number of units, and therefore I thought they could resolve a problem about which so many fans feel strongly, and then, when they're done, they could add anything else they wanted to.

Gives me a slight shimmer of hope that they will have corrected their mistake once the game comes out.

And wolfs are cool. It's a creature that is presented in the series since it's first part. And In H1 wolfs were on tier 3 (of 6).
H1 - Barbarian town - 3/6
H2 - Barbarian town - 3/6
H3 - Stronghold - 2/7
H4 - Nature town - 1/4
H5 - Neutrals.
Wolfs is a really good choice.

Sorry I have to be vague and cryptic again, but there is action being taken regarding the size of the town screens. We definitely delivered the message several times over. Please don't consider that any kind of promise though. Elvin isn't talking about the Wolves here but actual functionality which requires devoted development time - a LOT of it.

I need help...
If I pre-order from Amazon.de do I get access to the Beta? I cannot pre-order from ubishop because, for some reason, the page does not load at all. Does it have to do with the fact that I am from Romania? Please help me as I really want to get access to the Beta.
Thank you in advance,
Paul.
