I think the Artbook is a Great idea, but it is to brief in my eyes.
One good thing is, it is not focused only on teh H6 period. But I would like, if there were more information
More geography names and a lineage of Rulers
And I hope There will be a precise timeline ant the beginning of the book.

It is available, but you have to play in offline mode and it seems you can't save any hotseat game ^^

Not true, I've loved gaming since 1984...Zork 1, 2, 3 text adventures, King's Quest series, etc. and I prefer the H5 town screens....more atmospheric...

Academy, Haven and Inferno were okay.
Necropolis had too many towers and spires and stuff and was too uniform in color, while Sylvan had the annoying lens flare.
The Dungeon's design was flat-out lazy.
Stronghold felt most like a "classic" town, IMO.

Why you think that of Dungeon? Is it because of the female thing like DnD? I think I love the town for the lots of woman statues, it looks amazing

It's mainly because of the stalactite structures that suffer from the same "uniformity problems" that a lot of the H5 town screens seem to have in common, as well as the town's undeveloped ground space.
What do they think they are, bats?

The statue, while no Deity of Fire or Earth Guardian, is cool enough I guess.

Yes that looked rather awkward, everything hanging from the ceiling. The only thing that really stood out was the mother of darkness statue, the altar of sacrifice, altar of elements(?) and what else, rest were generic stalactite-clinging stuff.

I actually liked the hanging-from-the-ceiling idea, but I guess they could have made the structure a bit bigger so as to fill the space some more - there's an awful lot of 'nothing' going on in the lower part. But I liked this one ok, although perhaps also the contrast between the very bright statue and the rest made things sort of go lost in the dark.

What I considered a problem with H5 town screens, particularly this one, is that some buildings were very hard to click on directly if you wanted to (like the artifact merchant to see what the weekly bonus was).

However, I liked how each of them had a distinct style, even if they were a bit strange for some of them.

Speaking about H5 dungeon... It was boring town screen. Only Naked Lady was good. And just how colorful and magical it was on the concept art!

Sorry to steer away from the town screens discussion for the hundreth time, but I have a question and am looking for opinions on something.

Why exactly does Stronghold have access to more magic than any other faction? A faction I might add that is supposed to be against magic and in it's sequel (Heroes 5) they have banned altogether minus the Shaman having a couple of spells.

Right now, technically speaking, Stronghold could be considered the most adept and efficient magic heroes because they have more access than anyone else. That makes no sense to me.

If they want to keep them at having 6 out of the 7 schools of magic, then take away their ability to access the Tier 3 spells. Other than that, in my opinion, Stronghold really should only have access to the Air, Earth and Prime schools.

What is all your opinions on this?

Not prime for obvious balance as well as lore reasons. Otherwise.. doesn't really bother me. Access does not mean affinity nor does the fact that H5 had zero magic affinity mean that H6 should follow suit. For one these are not the Ranaar orcs.

I actually liked that Idea. They arent the only ones lliving inside caverns so to avoid the most contact they can they build in chasms and in the ceiling

I think it looks the same, only with buildings in the floor, pink instead of purple and posible a fire chasm instead of a  deep dark one. I think looks kinda to Haven

Can you explain that one to me? The way I see it, both the Shamans of H5 and the Dreamwalkers/reavers of H6 have access to Haste and Slow, which are both part of the Prime school. That, along with having Father Sky and Mother Earth rammed down our throats constantly, is why I suggested Air, Earth and Prime for them.

Prime = Primordial Dragon territory, bad.

The description is a little more subtle than that. While technically they are more or less the same as haste and slow they are presented as an air/earth power. Kind of like shaman heroes have the mother earth and father sky(?) special.
