Love the Jeddite legacy hero story....what's under Kha-Beleth's helmet shocked him, kinda reminds me of Morgoth/Melkor from Tolkien.

I like the Luna update; her character portrait is one of the few I can stand and her biography isn't overly too long and pointless.
Oh, and thanks for explaining what the word Luna means, I guess.
I hate how they call it 'legacy' and not 'incarnations' tho.

I love what they did with Luna, a elf druid who became a vampire. Just like the old Heroes, she started out as a sorceress and later became a Death Knight.
Although, in Heroes IV, she was insane at least if not evil; in Ashan that doesn't have to be the case, since Necropolis is a neutral faction that seeks harmony and balance as much as the Druids do.

You know with everyone complimenting or complaining about Heroes VI, there is one thign for sure: I am going to thoroughly enjoy the Campaign and follow the story esp. with the dark elves and faceless vs Michael! Going to be epic! Multiplayer, town windows, balancing, this will all work out in the end with the expansions, just like H5 Tribes of East (this could be bad comparison cos H5 ToE was still unbalanced ).

Yeah, it's all good but I hope it's expansions like you said, and not DLC's!

There has to be the choice of both...people should either be able to buy expansions hardcopy at their favorite store, or if have unlimited internet, download them. I prefer the physical game to put on my shelf and look at it with pride
Personally, I don't think we should be worried about DLC's being the only vibe.

If by the choice of both, you mean that DLC and expansion pack will have the same content and that it's just up to you which media you will preffer; then I'm game. I can buy the expansion pack and skip on the DLC.
But usually DLC's come in small packages which eventually cost more than an expansion. So I don't see how this could be the case. It's not compatible to release the same content through DLC's and an expansion pack and keep prices the same.

Yes and no. It might be true that they come in smaller packages and cost more in the long run, but I also think in some cases the overall added amount of stuff is greather with numerous DLC's. Taking into account how expensive previous Heroes expansions were and how little many of them actually added, I'm not sure DLC would be a worse opportunity. Don't underestimate the costs of producing physical specimens of discs and packaging and distributing them.

Aye, and you also have the possibility to chose whether you want or don't want one or several DLCs.
I have no problems with DLCs as long as they don't start "fixing" their game through DLCs by, for example, adding some of those features they removed previously and also as long as they keep the normal patching process of the game.

Misslead ability script
For the last few day I have been checking creatures and heroes abilites.
Some of the abilites dosent seem to react ingame....
First of all i tried to see how the dance of decay work best. Tried to cast some dark magic on enemy creatures, then i used the ability, and unfourntly nothing happend... The script is like that: Dance of decay- deal damage (prime) to all adjacent living creatures worth of 10% of their inital health and hastens all effect on all adjacent creatures by 1 turn producing all realted consequences. the damage cannot be heald.
Well, i tried dark magic and it didnt do anything (stats stayed the same and the FW didnt do any damage). I used the ultimate blood ability doom of the ebon knight (it only shortened it by 1 turn).
Can anyone please tell me how to use the dance of deacy, in a way that it will be useful (which spells to use eand etc..)
The second thing i tried to test was the ability on the cyclop, the imprevious pain. Dosent work at all.... The cyclop react like anyother creature (when concreaning damage).
The last thing that was doing fine, was the doom ability. unfourntly the script isnt that true....Doom ability say the enemy creature will perish in 7 turns, well most of the times its about 9-10 and can go up, way to long for a real battle to use.
p.s
sry for my bad english guys.

Cyclop's ability works for me fine. What it does, basically, makes cyclop immortal for one turn, as all damage he gets in this turn, won't affect his HP until his next turn. So if you got multiple retaliations on cyclop, for example, it will keep countering even if first attack would normally killed him.
It is funny ability to watch, seeing 1 cyclop to collect hits for 2k dmg and still standing

There have to be physical hard copies of the expansions (when it comes to new factions, etc)....that's how Ubisoft can make more money. DLC's should be reserved for smaller content.
@ TBDS
Dance of Decay - Fate Weaver (Human form) has to be adjascent to enemy and friendlies for it to work (works for me)
Impervious to pain - Works with me so not sure why not with you
Doom ability (for whom bell tolls) - Not sure but isn't the turns it takes dependant on the hero's fist (might attack & might defense combined)

Wrong. The best money-maker are DLCs because, as Alcibiades said, they have no physical production costs. It's like a patch that people can download, install and use immediately.
Why do you think so many MMOs have gone through the free-to-play + DLC model ? Same goes for a game like Civ 5 which is essentially surviving thanks to new civilizations DLCs and which is covering the patching costs.
They can even do what Bethesda did with Oblivion : gather some of the best DLCs and make a physical expansion regrouping most of them.

*sigh*
Quote: Shiva grew up in the Free City of Stormcliff, but soon understood she was not meant for urban life.
In the singing of the birds, in the murmur of the wind, in the growl of the thunderstorm, she could hear the call of Ylath (what?).
At twelve (oh god), she said her goodbyes (or rather left them on a piece of paper [wow, good to know!]), packed her bags, stole into the caravan of a merchant, and started a life of adventure.
She travelled all around Ashan with a group of fellow (yet unimportant) adventurers and accomplished many incredible exploits; raiding the Temple of Doom, finding the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and surviving the deadly traps of the Tomb of a Thousand Terrors among them.
Currently, Shiva resides in the Pao Islands with the Orcs (what, no, I just recruited her for the empire) learning from their Shamans the secrets of the one they call Father Sky (riveting).
Not one to sit still for a long period of time, she intends to go looking for the lost peak where the legendary Thunderbird dwells (ha ha, good luck with that).

I hope they do that at least. I still will not buy any DLC, unless they will become part of a real expansion pack.
@Avirosb: What's wrong with Shiva? If anything, we got a hint that thunderbirds exist! And if Shiva remains in the Stronghold faction, they will be probably a part of them in the future.

It's the writing. It's not good writing.
I know it sounds nitpicky, but it's like they add a bunch of unneeded words just to fill those ridiculously huge bio-boxes.
Every time I read one of these I can actually hear myself thinking "cool story bro".
EDIT: Let's compare it to the H3 and H4 bios:
Quote: Shiva is the youngest of six daughters in a family of circus animal trainers. Unhappy with the prospect of spending her entire life in the family business, she left the circus to join the Krewlod military as a mercenary, a business that she has excelled at.
Quote: Beautiful Shiva should have been her clan's religious leader, but her family was killed during the Reckoning while attempting to save some sacred animals. Despairing over the futility of all her ceremonies and sacrifices, Shiva abandoned the gods and took up a sword instead.
Uh... Religious circus animal trainers

Well, they're not going for a Nobel Prize of Literature but it's not that bad!
At least it's not worse than the hero biographies of the previous games.
I rather read a bit more extras about a hero than just a couple of lines alone.
