Quote: The Stronghold Orcs Revealed for the Very FIRST Time! (Riight!)
Does it mean that the 5th faction is indeed a known faction? Would make sense to include the Wizards since they are mentioned in both, Necropolis and Stronghold creatures (necropolis in general, lamasu, harpy).
I don't get how it's the first time they are revealed, we had stronghold with orcs as units before... and we had orc based stronghold in H5...
And just for curiosity:
-Did the Goblin bio confirm the inclusion of cyclops and shamans?
-An this one I have been asking a lot of time and never got an answer: every creature counts the same for their poll? In other words: Would 10 Goblins waste the same amount of core unit poll than 10 orcs? 5 Griffins will count as the same than 5 Sun Crusaders for elite poll? Or will each type consume x% of the poll depending of wich creature it is?

Goblin
Harpy
Mauler
confirmed creatures
+Cyclops (The fourth faction of Heroes VI is here! Feast your eyes on the Stronghold! Orcs, Goblins, Cyclops and more!)
+Shaman (refer to goblins description: Goblins serve as servants, scouts, skirmishers, and sometimes sacrifices for the Shamans)
I am expecting NEW units
so
Thunderbird
Centaur
Wyvern
so some of them should be Excluded..
Even if they redesign them and call it a "New" unit, still couldn't be all of them...
so i expect at least 1 NEW ELITE CREATURE!!!!

Quote: The Russian insiders did say there won't be much differences from H5 in Stronghold with most creatures returning. Unfortunately Google Translator is not good enough, so I can't tell if they really confirmed the Wyvern, any of the Russian members can clarify?
Danny, I`m not russian myself, but I know the language. The russian insider wrote that:
- in new Stronghold faction there will be five old creatures (from HM&MV orc faction), and two new.
- One of that two new creatures is from previous game of the series (that is the harppy). Other is new and has never been in any old HM&M game.
- He wrote that from seven creatures of the Stronghold only two are female, and one of them has changed gender - in all previous games it was male.
- From five old creatures some has switched levels.
- The champion unit will be the same as in HM&MV - Cyclop.
- In faction there are 3 shooters and one caster. One of the shooter is creature that has changed gender, and two others are goblin and cyclop.
- He confirmed that this time there will not be wyverns in Stornghold.
The line-up for Sronghold will be something like this:
core: goblin, warmonger, harrpy
elite: centaur, slayer or shaman (male), and some kind of new creature (maybe caster if slayer or some kind of melee fighter is second is shaman)
champion: cyclop

About shamans, I wouldn't bet on it (however would love it; even troll would do )- maybe the goblin sacrifice is only a biografic reference to H5 shamans, or a cultural thing (goblins-serwants,front line meat, sacrifice victims/offerings)
Please! NO wywerns (in this castle)- there most likely gonna be only two spaces for flying creatures- let them choose thunderbirds!)
+ centaurs
+ cyclops
+ (someone said jaguars... I frickin agree! /shamans)
-that's my type

Probably shaman will be magic hero for Stronghold and in that case he will sacrifice goblins for mana.

Do you remember that ruined Aztec temple to the east of Ranaar?
What if that was the place of orcs' origin? And since that place is not situated in a jungle, the autumn plains might belong to orcs. That would imply... that my precious naga are still in!
Btw, I do not want to make anyone angry, but... is it just me, or do the goblins share the same pose with ghouls, tormentors and maniacs?

Given the obvious Mesoamerican influences, I think the Wyvern might be replaced with a Couatl (upgrade: Quetzlcouatl) - which I'd be totally fine with, because not only are wyverns another dragony looking creature, they're pretty ugly to boot, especially the H5 one. A flying serpent might be better, especially with the awesome job the concept artists have shown so far.
Which unit will have its gender switched, do you think? Ogre magi, perhaps?

"Orcish rebellion in the Seven Cities, which spreads to Haven. Rejecting their masters and the Dragon Gods, the Orcs declare themselves free. In the Falcon Empire, Crusades are declared against the Orcs – attempts to subjugate them and convert them back to dragon worship. The fighting is brutal, and the Orcs are relentlessly driven back. Eventually, the unrepentant survivors flee wherever they can, including the deserts of the south, the steppes of the north-east and the Barrier Islands of the east, A great storm sinks the Haven fleet that was prepared to follow the Orcs to their island refuge. The Falcon Emperor declares this a sign from the Dragons, and formally ends the Orcish Crusades."
(taken form the timeline)
The orcs seem to have three different settings, could be any of them if u look at the map u can see orc camps both in the south and north-east. The faction as we have been shown now could be from the barrier islands though...we will see when they present further info.

I really like this new centaur, it fits perfectly. No this means there won't be a female Cyclop
Shaman
no no no boring unit!
It's male though
Cyclop & Other Cyclop
I like the new cyclop, if that is what it is...
it need ro show more eye however, and those claw weapons looks "kinda" stupid, give them a badass club instead.

It just makes it easier for concept, I'm sure the actual units will hold themselves very differetly.
As for the three coonfirmed units, I am strongly against the goblins. I just can't imagine how they fit in with the strengths of the other units. The peasant was removed, the imp was demoted to offspring, and the skeleton at least was redone in a manner that seems more appropriate for the new core concept. But boomerang throwing goblilns?! I can't wait for the day that I see a boomerang thrown by a peepsqueek take down a dragon...

Hell yeah, must say I'm loving the look of things. Even the shaman is much better than H5. Personally, I think the entire faction is. Much more big, strong orc/demon-thing oriented. And that huge demonic creature quoted above... I don't even know what to say !!
