DO I need the expansions to play Heores WT ?

So I registered and downloaded the heroes WT patch. I can enter the room as guest but get disconnected trying to enter with my nick and password (I did register). I only have the original HOMM3 installed without Armageddons blade or Shadow of death. Sorry if the answer is obvious.

you need Shadow of Death. With Erafia it should not work
