My heroes VII (or VIII) faction line-ups.

This is my wish for MMH7 or MMH8
Every faction has 15 creatures Divided in 8 levels. Level 8 needs the grail to be created. Every creature except the grail one has 3 forms so there are in total 43 creatures per faction (Maybe too much?)Note that there are only 1 level 8 eight creature and if he dies he returns to the Grail.

Haven

Level 1

Peasant>Brute>Militia
The farmers of the Empire are numerus but have low weapons and no training at all!

Watch Dog>Hunting Dog> War Dog
Dogs are Loyal and low cost to the Empire but still are quite Impressive in batle.

Level 2

Squire>Pikeman>Halberdier
Low level Fighter they are the most used in Wars

Bowman>Archer>Sharpshooter
They are the ranged masters of the Empire.

Level 3

Footman>Sentinel>Praetorian
Primary fighters in the Wars they fight with a blade and a shield.

Priest>Monk>Zealot
They are servants of the dragon of light and cure they friends with blesses and Heals.

Level 4

Crow Tamer> Eagle master> Falcon Eye
Training birds in his tower he is the expert in anything that flies.

Cavalier>Knight>Champion
The horse riders of the Grifin Empire are the shock troop and always have one squire with them

Level 5

Crusader>Templar>Palladin
Holding holy blades they are the nightmare of anything EVIL.

Glory>Archon>Incarnations
They are a part of Elrath and are summoned to help the Empire in its worts moments as a spellcaster.

Level 6

Valkyrie>Celestial>Half Angel
They are Slaves of the Angel Resulting when a Palladin is Chosen by Elrath to eternal life.

Grifin>Royal Grifin> Imperial Grifin
The Fusion of a Lion and an Eagle is the Fusion of Honor and Courage of the Empire.

Level 7

Angel>Arcangel>Seraph
The first creations of Elrath they have the power of light to return Life to a fallen corpse.

Sun Rider>Sun Champion> Solar Legend
Those that have been blessed by Elrath itself ride a celestial steed and carry the Lance of Light.

Level 8

Angelical Lord
The ruler of all angel and Elrath's right hand.

Necropolis

Level 1

Skeleton>Skeleton Skirmisher> Skeletal Archer
A ranged anti-range unit (archer good versus archer)

Corpse>Walking dead> Zombie
A weak fighter using his bare hands for weapon.

Level 2

Ghoul>Crypt Ghoul> Revenant
A Human who has been stolem of his soul and lives in pain.

Scavenger>Bone Colector> Soul Seeker
They are wolves that serve the Necromancers in search of Material.

Level 3

Mummy>Royal mummy> Cursed mummy
A Priest/Knig/Anubis dead for 5000 years1

Ghost>Spectre>Banshee
A support caster raised by a necromacer.

Level 4

Vampire>Vampire Lord> Nosfateru
Undead blood sucker working for the Necropolis.

Freak>Compilation>Abomination
A fusion of a lot of dead parts and a ligtning bolt.

Level 5

Black Knight> Death Knight> Dread Knight
Human Knights that swear to serve a Necromancer forever.

Lich>Arclich>Umbral Lich
Powerfull spellcaster that create zombies from corpses.

Servants of The Reaper this souls are training to be Death itself.

A Deity for the Necropolis they are philosophy for the Necromancers.

The Reaper
The Reaper is the collector of the souls and If any dead being sees him he knows he will return to life.

Magic tricksters that can steal mana from an enemy hero and let the hero use it.

Fire Wisp>Flaming spirit>Chaos ball
Pure moving fire that burns everything he touches

Level 2

Hell Hound>Orthus>Cerberus
Canines of Seogh they are agile and strong.

Crazy>Maniac>Lunatic
Servants of the demon lord of Madness he cryes when atacks and laughs when he is atacked.

Level 3

Horned Demon>Horned Grunt>Horned Overseer
Most of Inferno is composed by this big gorrila-like demons.

Gog>Magog>Infergog
Fire Manipulators that are the ranged fighters of the army.

Level 4

Succubus>Temptress>Lilith
She can cast a hipnotyze spell to her enemies to make them work for her.

Burning Horse> Hell stalion> Nightmare
They kill their enemies during sleep in a horrible form.

Level 5

Juggernaut> Ravager> Destroyer
A raging giant demon that destroys anything in his way.

Tormantor>Excrutiator>Lacerator
Spawn of the demon lord of pain he trows hes razor sharp bones to the enemies.

Level 6

Pit fiend> Pit Spawn> Pit Lord
Demonic slavers that control their minions by brute force and power.

Breeder>Spawn master> Chaos Bringer
Creating Imps is her main task but by eating her offsprings she regenerates.

Level 7

Efreet>Efreet sultan> Efreet Raja
The embodiements of chaos and Fire.

Devil>Archdevil> Hell king
The masters of the demons they can actualy talk to urgash if they want.

Level 8

Demon Sovereign
Lord of everything chaotic and is the key to free Urgash from his prison.

Stronghold

Level 1

Goblin>Goblin Hunter> Hobgoblin
They do everything: sacrifices, food, bullets, Spear fighters...

Pig> Boar> War boar
Normaly used in farms they can be used as meat shield for the orcs.

Level 2

Orc> Orc Axetrower > Orc Axemaster
Orc fighter that wield/trow their axes in to the enemy lines.

Wolf> Dire wolf> Savage wolf
Beasts tamed by the orcs that fight along with them.

Level 3

Centaur> Centaur Nomad> Centaur Marauder
The ranged cavalry of any barbarian. Fast and Deadly.

Harpy> Fury> Sky Hag
The harpies are now alied with the orcs that believe they are servants of father sky.

Level 4

Ogre>Slayer>Warmonger
The heavy infantry with a few armor but big weapons.

Shaman> Caller> Totem master
Calling from the power of the spirits these control the elements.

Level 5

Troll> Cave troll> Dungeon Troll
Big rock trowers that help the barbarian army.

Flock Captain> Cloud Leader> Sky queen
Leaders of the Harpys that can fly 10 KM and return withaut touching the floor.

Level 6

Jaguar fighter> Panther warrior> Cheetah master
Ogre Warriors with claws that fight in the Behemoth style.

Roc> Thunderbird> Flying Lightning
Elder sons of father sky this creatures are giant birds with energy.

Level 7

Cyclop>Cyclop Warrior> Cyclop  King
One eyed creatures that have a query full of massive rocks.

Behemoth> Eldar Behemoth> Gargantuan
Sons of mother earth this hulking creatures are rarely seem with is strange do to their huge size.

Level 8
Anciant Gargantuan
Some say that it is mother Earth herself but before knowing hte truth they are already dead.

Blind cave dwellers enslaved by the dark elves.

Dark elves mastered in spying the opponent and striking from the shadow.

Dark elf women that use a double blade fighting thecnique.

Bloodsucking litle critters.

Slaves deep underground but still feared by the dark elves.

The youngest childs of Malassa. They are sometimes studied by the dark elves.

Beholder> Argus> Evil eye
Eyed brains with tentacles. Really smart and can shock the oponents.

Shadow rider> Black rider> Grim rider
The cavalry of the dark elves. They ride a special lizard living on some caves.

Level 5

Darktaur > Darktaur Master> Darktaur King
The best minotaurs are chosen by the faceless to become a Darktaur. Stronger and faster than ever.

Dark witch> Dark mistress> dark matriach
The prophets of the dark elves following Malassa.

Level 6

Manticore> Scorpicore> Chimera
Lion-bat-scorpion and snake togeter in one body. The drakelves have discovered this amazing creatures and tamed them.

Shadow> Stalker> Invisible.
Weaker versions of the faceless capable of disepearing at will.

Level 7

Shadow dragon> Red dragon> Black dragon
The eldest childs of malassa with have atleast 500 years.

Faceless> Dark follower> Dark elder
The first race created by the dragon of darkness they are now the way for the dark elves to comunicate with Malassa.

The first dendroid ever and the start point to begin Plant and animal life.

Poor dwarves that work in mines fr a superior.

Halfling> Halfling slinger> Halfling ranger
Cousins of the Dwarves but faster and more agile and good precision.

Level 2

Shielder> Defender > Mountain defender
Dwarves using heavy armor and an axe for battle.

Fist fighter > Brawler> Battlerager
Dwarves using Knuckle-dusters and a great fighting style.

Level 3

Gnome > Gnome thinkerer> Gnome mechanic~
Gnomes are the smarter cousins of the dwarves and use a mortar to deliver punishment.

White fang> Silver fang> Fenrir wolf
Snow wolves trained for war and much more resistant than their wood brothers.

Level 4

Bear rider> Grizzly knight> Polar champion
dwarves riding a bear and using a big pounding club.

Rune Priest> Rune Patriach > Rune Guardian
A tough priest using spells to fight their enemys.

Level 5

Mech > Proto-Mech > R.O.B.O.T
The most sucessefull automaton of the gnomes surpassing a golem in every way.

Frost beast> Yeti> Iceberg crusher.
Tall gorrila like monsters with an Ice armor.

Level 6

Mountain king > Thane > Storm lord
Great dwarves that have lightning powers and teleport.

Snow lady> Ice maiden> Frost lifter
Powerfull spirit ladies with frozen boomerangs

Level 7

Fire salamander> Magma salamander> Lava salamander
Dwarves call wingless dragons as salamanders and follow this creatures believing arkath also didnt have wings.

Iron dragon> Steel dragon> Titaniun dragon.
Special mechanic versions of dragons that can survive any type of climate as long as controled by a gnome.

Level 8
Infernal Salamander
The most powerfull creation of Arkath this dragon is made with parts of the sun.

Swamp

Level 1

Firefly> Swamp light> Flying torch
Little flying creatures that iluminate the night.

Lizard stalker> Lizard spy> Swamp stealer
When a lizardman is born with purple scales his parents teach him in the art of shadows.

Level 2

Serpent fly> Cobra fly> Sky Anaconda
Poisunus snakes with wings.

Pond hunter> Lizard ranger> Eye killer
Green scale lizardmen are born with what others call 'the eye of the swamp'

Level 3

Swamp toad> Kappa> Kappa Shoya
Some good fighters doing huge jumps withaut even trying.

Pond soldier> Swamp trooper> Lizard Commander
The red scale lizards are born to be the warriors.

Laval 4

Sword master> Sabre slayer> 4 swords lord
Nagas with power to destroy most soldiers with 4 swift strikes.

Iguana smasher> Iguana crusher > Iguana Taskmaster
Iguanas are special fusions of lizardmen and sharks.
They are know for smashing anything with their huge fists.

Level 5

Basilisk> Basilisk leaper > Basilisk King
Basilisks are big lizards that blind other creatures by looking in their eyes.

Medusa> Medusa mage> Medusa queen
Powerfull ceatures from the swamp that turn anyone into stone and animate them to do her bidding.

Level 6

Swamp bull> Gorgon> Mighty Gorgon
This creatures are specially breed by the richest lizardmen and nagas and can kill even the most powerfull creatures using their breath.

Wyvern> Deep wyvern> Wyvern Rider
Special kinds of dragons that dont have hands and arent really smart.

Level 7

Hydra> Pond Hydra> Chaos hydra
Multi headed creatures that look like a dinosaur.

Kirin> Cloudwalker Kirin> Strombender Kirin
Dragons that can flye withaut the need of wings. Know to master the powers of air and water.

Level 8

Draconydra
The name given to this creatures is due to their amazing power to breah fire, teleport and they have their incredible musti heads but only one of this creatures exist.

Not Really because the light spirit looks stonger and it would be dull to put 2 spellcasters in the same tier than the cavalry and In HoMM 2 the palladin is stronger.

For starters, could you bold each level (core, elite, etc...) and bold and underline each faction, it would make it somewhat easier to read.

Too many units IMO, knock 2-3 off and things will be better.

I like the idea of the various different levels,

however, I will say that it does feel a little... eh, cluttered, maybe. with there being ten units, each unit having 3 upgrades, and I assume you will be wanting alot of factions, you may loose some of the unique play style of each faction, as well as units.

one of the things I have liked with the heroes series is that all factions felt unique in terms of play style. Necropolis was always full of cheap and weak units, whilst Dungeon alway had very strong, but very expensive, units in. you really had to think tactically about what unit you wanted.

with this, I can see people really just taking the same tactic, just changing the aesthetics to the faction.

but again, that's my oppinion, apart from that, I really don't have any complaints.

Thanks for comenting!
It does lose some originality but not much of it.
Heaven has DEFENCE writen by the most of it.
Necropolis is about getting as much core creatures as possible.
Inferno is about getting the big guns as fast sa possible and as soon as you feel comfortable you attack.
Academy(my next one) is more about the spells than the creatures.

A hero can carry 7 stacks and one Level 8.
You have to choose between the bulding of the creatures but you can destroy it and build the other. only it will take a day and some resources.

My idea

My idea for Heroes 7 is having 5 levels, 2 creatures in each level. On the 1st lvl you can build both while on lvls 2-5 you only choose one (similar to H4). There is also a choice of two upgrades for each creatures, except the lvl 5/Champion where there are two tiers of upgrades- except the 2nd upgrade can only be built if you have a Tear of Asha in town. I'll demonstrate it with the Haven/Castle:

1st lvl- Boar/Battle Boar or Razor Boar AND Peasant/Militia or Brigand

2nd lvl- Sister/Sacred Sister or Maiden OR Archer/Longbowman or Crossbowman

3rd lvl- Griffin/Wild Griffin or Imperial Griffin OR Footman/Swordsman or Pikeman

4th lvl- Cavalier/Champion or Gunslinger OR Priest/Bishop or Inquisitor

5th lvl- Paladin/Crusader/Templar OR Angel/Archangel/Nemesis

That is a way to do it but I hate when a creature from one game doesnt appear in the next one (Most of H3 fortress town didnt appear in H4 or H5 and I was quite sad)
In this way they can do so that every creature from previus games to appear and still add new ones.

PS: I dislike that 1st levels can have the 2 but the others need choosing so in my you HAVE to choose from one ot them and if you then want the other you destroy that building and build the other one so you are not stuck with one creature.

You should change the valkyrie unit, too similar to the radiant and angels

Thanks I changed some but:
the Valkyrie was the only Idea I had to a level 6. If you have a better Idea please tell me.
The skeleton level 2 is ranged so warrior would sound dull.
Vampire and abomination names would be repeated to much.

And thats what I do in name-changes. I like creating looks and stories but I am horrible creating names for 43 creatures.
I see you are too in favor of never abandoning a creature when doing a new game.

1- In Ashan they ARE in a dungeon
2- Withaut them it would be hard to get other creatures
3- They arent that bad

1: True, but that can be changed.
2: Not realy, Minotaurs can substitute them as a race any day of the week and I like the idea of Beholders returning.
3: Yes, yes they are.

If they changed the H5 Dungeon's name into, say, Coven and the H5 Fortress' name into Forge for example; a lot of people would feel very much better.

Personally, I'm a fan of race based faction better than random monsters filling up the ranks. So if Dungeon's going to return, I would like to see it with Dark Elves again.
