Yes, best of luck! Be thinking of U! U can't do ay worse than me- my fiance left me three days before xmas. Nasty! Dumped me over the phone ('coz I knew you'd cry'), missed my birthday ('it's just a day'), ignored me when his mates were around and I still love him so I suggest being as nasty as possible it seems to work! Nah, you are a great guy and it's nice to know there are sum nice ones left! Good luck!!

There's always the right one for someone, or I hope there is.
I have tears in my eyes while writing this I failed again.
III Uh she left & I dont know what I did.
I was the perfect gentlman.
I did not buy a gift or anything.
Maybe the topics we talked about was to much for her.
She said she had to make a quick call then never came back.
I dont understand why it always happens to me.
Old Timer was right, I did nothing wrong why is it that every girl hates me.
Sorry II will feel better tomorrow maybe.

I think the MOST important advice given here is to be yourself. If you act differently to win her, you will lose her when you stop (maybe) or be miserable. If she doesn't like you for yourself, why will she like you?
Of course, I have only had one serious relationship in my life, but it is with the woman of my dreams, my wife of nine years, so I don't complain 
On another point: I have observed that girls usually like guys that are older than them. I am not sure why this is, but it could be that girls grow up quicker (shucks, myself and most guys I know STILL haven't grown up)
PS RMS's post on poetry seemed to be an offer to help create some if you wanted to try it, not anything in the least disrespectful.

A little advice. (Girls are going to hate this)
1. Take girl out to do something that you are interested in, or a place that you feel comfortable at. (Homefeild Advantage)
2. Make sure that there is something else for you to do besides paying attention to date. (Lets her know that she is not that important to you)
3. Make sure date is not on a Friday or Saturday, if she insists on those nights tell her you're busy. (She needs to know that you are in demand, don't tell her what you are doing)
4. Never answer the phone on weekends, screen your calls. (If she calls on a weekend wait until monday or tuesday to call back)
5. If you compliment her make sure that it might be taken as an insult(Wow! That dress is very slimming on you.)
6. Just because someone asks you a question doesn't mean that you have to answer it. Instead of answering questions you don't want to, try asking them another question. (This keeps you in control of the conversation)
7. Make sure that date is over at a certain time because you have other things to do. (Make sure that the girl knows that you are fitting her in your busy schedule, even if your later plans are to fold socks, she doesn't need to know them.)
8. Make sure you are having fun and that you are allowing her to join in your fun. (You don't need her, but as long as she is not annoying, let her know that you don't mind her being around)
9. If she doesn't like you dump her as fast as you can and go on to the next girl. Never spend more than $40 on a date, the less you pay the better. (She is not a prostitute, so don't feel obligated to pay a lot of money on a date.)

Remeber that you are important and fun to be around and that she is lucky to be with you.
Girls do not want fawning puppy dogs whining around them. They need men who are self confidant and like themselves, once you become the pathetic loser to the girl cut her loose and find the next one. If the girl thinks that you will do anything for her, she will use you as a backup date until a real man comes along and then she will give you the "I just want to be friends" speech.
Okay girls your turn to yell at me. Just remember that this advice might not apply to you. (Although it probably does)

it's ok I live my life in rejection.
Mostly I keep my guard down & dont expect a better answer then that.
It seems you are waiting to be with Lith which also confuses me.
About your new topic on looking for a boy friend.
Remember what I put down if you still love another person or have feelings for someone else then it wont work.
Dont hurt the people because of other feelings.
I seen it all to much & it's not right.
Fix the problem before you even think about seeing another person.

Yesssss, You are my man. Listen Acuilas this Oldtimer has said it very very right. When following his or mine instructions you will catch the best fish in the sea. I have one at home, trust me again.
P.S. I also had some heartbreaks in the past, so Acuilas&Milena get a grip of yourself, will ya. If you are depressed sleep 12 hours a day - this helps. And no alcohol.

What I see...
Is that people nowadays (maybe also before my lifetime) want attention and if they don't get it from friends and they don't have anything were to spend time then they are trying to find their "second half".
How pathetic...
I hate dates that are like some sort of "theatre play" and you are just playing for the homebase. I hated baseball so I don't wonder...(Basketball and soccer were better, there I could score anytime I wanted and I didn't have care about other players trying to help me)
There are always those who are willing to offer their "services" and don't really care what I am. There are enough those in this world to get the satisfaction. But in the end you aren't really looking those, are you?
Dump the dating services and other that kind of stuff especially if you are young. Go out, you won't have any chances to get someone to love when being inside unless you get the pizza delivery guy to deliver the goods or try to pick out those neighboor girls that you have been in love since the first grade.
And I bet they will leave you sooner or later...
Of course restaurants/bars are good picking up places but problem is that you may start feeling like you are in meatmarket than in real social situation.
But may I ask that are you just itching to get some action or are you living in your dreams that "one" will arrive someday?
I like that I feel that woman is close to me. Like friends that have known for longtime. I like that feeling. And then it doesn't matter if things go further than beyond friendship or not.
I almost pity those that have been in "relationship-limbo" for all their lives. I mean they started dating during teenage years and haven't been single more than month. Living alone and getting along with yourself is most important aspect of any relationship.
My friend's (ex)girlfriend said it best when my friend was complaining that she expected him to read her mind:
"You can't learn to read my thoughts ever if you aren't up to the job of reading your own first."
Month later she dumped him.
So there.

Let's for "arguments sake" that u ae right and 90% of the woman is a you describe.
Picture this .... Aculias goes out with this girl and treats her the way you told/advised him too and this girl is one of the 10% that can see pass the whole charade you described and finds him a jerk and quits on him for that reason?
Well???
Being yourself ..ALWAYS is the only way I think .. although I do agree that in a lot of cases (that u hear off ... you usually don't here the succes stories, only the failed ones)guys that are "cool" and treat theire ladies bad seem to get all th nice girls ..
Those nice girls wil however at some point realize that those guys ARE jerks and find a "nice charming man" instead and they will aprreciate them all the more for it.
So the way I see it is thta Aculias and many other with him (include me) take the hard way....and I don't think I have done so bad for myself!
Just my 2 eurocents though!@

What OT means...
Is that if you are thinking of someday finding "dream partner" or something like that go for the charming way and live in daydream...maybe you get lucky...
But if you want girlfriend now...listen to OT and start playing "the dating game". It's fun to play and when you take it lighthearted...you don't get ever hurt...partners come and go but you stay.

I guess you could listen to Hexa and Milena. And wait and wait and wait and wait for a girl to be used up and abused by jerks and finally out of desperation try to find a nice guy. The problem is, that girl is still attracted to the jerks! She doesn't like it, but they are what turn her on. If they didn't turn her on she wouldn't have gone out with them in the first place. So you are always going to be second best to them. And you are going to end up with a girl with problems that you might not want to deal with.
The trick is to be a decent person while still acting in a way that is attractive to girls. GIRLS DO NOT WANT PATHETICS LOSERS UNLESS THEY ARE HARPIES WHO NEED TO DOMINATE THEIR MEN. Women are attracted to men. So be a man!
And to answer the question about waiting for the girl who is your taste. Vanilla might be good, but there are 31 other flavors out there, and how do you know that you don't like pistaccio until you have tasted it? Go out and taste!

I fail to understand the anger.
I reread my posts and cannot find anything that would create such animosity. Just because you don't agree with my arguements, do you have to resort to personal insults?
If my advice is followed, what will happen?
Aculias will present a different image to the girls he is trying to date. He will be self assured, & self confidant. He will be doing fun things and showing the girls a good time. He will have the time to find out if he likes the girl enough to date again. He will gain a reputation as a fun guy to go out with. Girls that he went out with will introduce him to their friends. Girls won't run out on him in the middle of a date.
Did I tell him to treat the girl poorly during the date? No.
Did I tell him to abuse the girl? No.
Exactly what did I tell him that would cause you to get pissed off?
In a debate, you have to state a position. And nowhere in my position did I ever resort to personal insults. If your object was to convince me of something, please give me a reason. If I am wrong, I will fess up. (Read the Superbowl bet responce)
To answer Milena, am I a jerk or a nice guy? Yes.
Like many real people, I am both a jerk and a nice guy. I could list the reasons why I am a jerk and reasons why I am a nice guy, but I don't really need to get into that. If you are going to classify me based on one opinion in one subject, well, there is nothing I can do about it.

come on lets be reasonable.
Everyone has experience in their own way & in my ex girlfriends which I never dated but as good friends I can see that Old Timer does hit alot of good points.
I have alot of friends that are girls & they are pretty much as how he describes him.
I'm sure their some proof into what everyone posts in here & I defanately am not desperate but it can get lonlysome.
So cant you all just get along & be fair & reasonable
