I see.

How about new objects available in Crimson Tides editor (new buildings, dwellings, shipyards, portals etc)? Can I copy them somehow to my different WOG client's editor?

Because I would like to play using original castles with new objects on the map.


PS. I installed New Objects Patch_ver_1_9 but I can't see any new objects in my wog editor :/

I preety much did everything like in the readme:

I installed clean WoG3.58 plus Era1.81 then installed New Objects Patch ver 1.9 and patched with H3WMapEdPatch.

Yet still I lack many new objects in my wog editor that are available in your crimson tides editor.

Any suggestions?

The Crimson Tides Standalone version has the new Objects Patch_ver_1_9 intsalled already. So you wouldn't find any new objects in the first place.

As a fairly new member of this community, I mainly wanted to say thank you, with many bows and fanciful displays of gratitude, for creating this great looking & working mod Hero_Of_Light! Kudos to you for the hard work, and the passion you must have put into it. I have played Homm since H2 was new, and followed the series ardently, just like everyone else on this forum I gather. Great hopes for H6, guessing it'll truly shine after a few expansions but nevertheless it looks promising. H3 is still and likely always be my favorite though.

Anyway, I digress. Great work and thanks again!

I now installed it and can see the new crimson tides town units as wild enemy creatures, or place them in mapmaker but for some reason i cant pick this as a starting faction, even though i can pck the other new town Haven, does anyone know why i cant pick the crimson tides faction?

You must install the New Objects Patch_ver_1_9 or else try the standallone version which already has it.

@fersch

The Seafolk faction is not available in any town. It is only available through dwellings.

It's like the fifth time someone asked these questions. Please read the thread before asking any questions (at least the last two pages of it).

I could not see anywhere and sorry if there is an answer but I must ask:


What are plans on future about this mod? atm I have played this alot and this keeps me interested about.

I also ask, how about those creature's abilities? As I have found out, all those creatures are upgraded to it full, (as all abilities are open) Is it possible to have that they start from zero? If not, it is okay, I just want to ask.

BTW keep it going! Awesome work, altough I am dissapointed Azure Dragons only have 500 hp lol


EDIT: I also suggest about is it possible to upgrade all those Sea monsters? atm no but at future? Altough those are already a difficult to win, specially Leviathans when those are more of them, but I would like to see if those would be upgraded, for brutal overpower lol

ERM syntax error / bugged savegame

First of all. Love the mod! Really good work. But I have a problem in the way that my savegames become bugged. No matter what. It says: ERM Syntax error / Loadanimation couldn't start loading

And then it says: Game was not saved properly or is an old version. I am using the standalone version. I load your Wog options every time i make a new map.

Any ideas why my save game becomes bugged?

I can load the game but my skills has reverted back to vanilla like Learning only giving ekstra xp and not xp every day. And if my heroes picture is from Wog it revert back to a vanilla picture.

Anyways there might be a new update (HoLv3.2) in the future. I have a few ideas. However, i currently lack new Heroes III like animations for new creatures. Maybe in 2012.

As for the experience stack the bonuses are fixed. So the option doesn't really work as it used to. And Azure Dragons have 500 hp because 1000 would be too much to have as a recruitable creature. It needed to be the same as the Fairy Dragons. In addition, i don't plan to have the sea creatures upgraded because they aren't recruitable in any town and they are just a neutral faction. All neutral creatures don't have any upgrades.

There are many new creature animations around, mate, some of them pretty good!

More of them coming soon, as well!

That's exactly what I meant, I am surprised how many of the proposed new creatures do match the heroes 3 outlook. Not all, of course, many of them wouldn't feel right in the game. I take it you don't like any of them?

Good examples would be the Mimic, the Chinese dragons, one of the baby dragons, yoguai, both eye-flies, the fairy bears, etc. I agree though, it is a matter of personal selection Would love to see your vision and applaud any attempt to produce something new whenever you feel like it.

Those creatures animations are more 3d like than the original Heroes III creatures and that's why i think they don't match. Even the creatures from Heroes IV don't really match (even though they were made by the same team).

You can modify them rather easily to avoid the 3d feel if it bothers you that much.

The creatures from IV don't match at all, no dispute there.

It is hard to produce new creatures and be original. Takes a lot of time and sometimes you may go through a lot to realize something went wrong at some stage. I'd personally like to see creatures that match the general atmosphere and theme of the game more than something based on the units already there.

An example would be the one I'm working on now:

Well anyways, it is kind of subjective which animation fits or not so... When i see one that i like i use it (for instance the falcon warrior that vladud made).

True, and fairplay. Do you intend to take advantage of the broken creatures limit in further versions or you prefer to keep the numbers down for balance?
