A few questions

1. Is there a way to add the scenarios and campaigns I make in the Campaign Editor to the game or play them somehow? If so, how?

2. How do I use the "bombs" (like the big stick of dynamite) in the campaign editor to have text pop up or a fight happen?

3. Where can I find the official patches from 1.0 to 3.0 for Heroes IV?

Thank you in advance!

1: Save them to the folder with the pre-existing maps. If the editor does not do this automatically (which it does for me), you need to find this folder first, and then save the map there.

2: The bombs are used to destroy map objects, not displaying text. You type in what eventyou want to trigger them, and when that event happens, the bombs go off, destroying everything occupying the same spots as them.

3: Sorry, no idea. Someone else probably has, though.

I see. So is there a way to code or make such an event happen? How do I use the Event, Event 2x1 and 1x2 to do something?

Edited by Osmin at 01:52, 09 Nov 2010.

1. First, choose "campaign" in the toolbar above the landscape window in the editor.
2. Then, choose "map properties".
3. Choose "events" from the toolbar in this new window, and then "placed events".
4. Now, press "new".
5. Give the new event a name, and then choose "effects" or "script" in order to specify what you want the event to do.
6. Put one (or more) of the 1x1 or 2x1 event pieces on the map, and select these.
7. You will now be able to assign the name you made for the event earlier, in step 5.

This should do the trick. Whenever a troop passes over the area marked by the events, the event will happen.
