I don't understand why you all like the corona? It tastes not even like a beer, but more like somesort of soft drink..
I have always seen Vin Diesel like the ultimate man, strong and full of jokes, but wen he drank that Corona in Fast and Furious, he did fall of the mountain with a huuuge splat!!

Stella Artois is a great drop of beer.

Other good ones

Boags Draght (Tasmanian Beer)
Barefoot Radler (I think NZ)
Corona also a very good drink on a hot day

On a Hot day, Carlsberg's Tuborg Lime Cut is the best
I'll scratch that!! Carrlsbergs tuborg lime cut tastes just like corona with a bit more lime and "?Humle=Hop?" taste..

So, whats the most refreshing beer for the summertime?
I mean, it has to be a cheap beer, because you don't buy a lot of special beers and drink them on the beach..
It's usually brands like Carlsberg, Heinekin, Slots, and all the standards of each country because they are sp cheap..

And wintertime beers? I have no idea..

Tried Pilsner Urquell, wasn't really impressed. But I like corona.

Edit:

Visited a new place, pretty good prices and service. Dimis if you haven't you should check Pulp 3.5 euros for 500ml, 6 for a liter of draft and sausage variety at 6.

Btw anyone knows anything from the list? Some descriptions looks nice

Also curious about German beer suggestions, we have a good number of German places around here. I favour paulaner weiss but then I haven't exactly delved deeply into the issue

Let the beer education begin!

Paulaner...you started with one of the best. I've had most of what was on the list at some time or another. From the list, Fosters and Warsteiner stood out to my tastes back then.

Everyone knows the French make good wine. But I had never tried a beer. When I visited I tried, Kronenbourg Gold...very good. I bought it here when back in the US but it was not the same.

I once had a Belgian wheat? that was truly something different. Coming out of the tap it looked more like a melted vanilla ice-cream.  A cream-ale I think. Went to take a look to try and find the name; what? 776 Belgian beers to sort through?..nevermind

German? Dinkel Acker

Warsteiner I liked myself too.

Krounenburg is the FFL beer so I bet it's got to be good.

Lots of bigger companies have many breweries making the quality dependant on the place you buy them from.

Here in the US the Huge Companies like Bud have been on a buying spree of the micro-breweries for quite a while. <imo> not a good thing.

One of the things that I liked about visiting Europe was that every village I visted had it's own beer-maker-family-tradition. Shaufhausen sp.? in East Switzerland had "Falcon". I bought the mug I'd used. <IMO>The rest of the world "should not" follow the US....keep that local thing going.

I just remembered something about the above.

I was sitting in the "Spotted Cow" somewhere around London. The girls behind the counter picked-up on my accent and started drilling me about California. I responded only with what "Gold" they had around them. Just about the time I had finished my 1 pint of Murphys...another shows up in front of me. I asked "What's this for and they pointed to the gentlemen a few stools down. He looked like Churchill in every way. He saw that I hadn't a clue and replied "Very good young man...very good"

Hey Elvin,

Thanks for the pointer to Pulp. I will definitely try that place out; great prices at least!

Meanwhile, I was out yesterday and I recalled two more Belgian beers that should be added to the list.
Kwak, and
St. Bernardus (Abt. 12).

The glass for Kwak is amazing btw.

Good timing, just returned from there Next time you are around we could go for a beer.

This time I tried the staropramen (mainly because the one I had my eye on was unavailable), was decent.
