WOG Map Tania

Has anyone downloaded the - I believe - Russian map called "Tania" for WOG. If so is there an english translation and if not can it be played without understanding Russian?

I know it was considered for translation to English by the Translation Team at Celestial Heavens, but I don't see it anywhere on their Translated Maps pages:

I haven't heard from the Team Leader, ByteBandit, in several months, but he would be the best one to ask about doing a translation.  I believe ByteBandit has played the map in Russian.

Before translating this map to English, you must translate it to Russian, because the language of this map is Very Bad Russian.

itsjustme pointed that the map which is supposed to be in Russian should be translated into Russian. It's entirely true and I believe there is no way to make the translation without knowing Russian well because machine translator would return nothing: every second word contains at least one mistake, not even speaking about punctuation.

And... yep, guys, I also can translate it into nasty english.

I did go to the Celestial Heaven website and noticed a Tania map - the SOD version - that had been translated. I do not know if it is the same. I started it after Wogifying it and it certainly seemed to start differently. Don't know how to contact ByteBandit to ask!!

Who knows how many maps named "Tania" might have been written?  But my guess is the SoD map in the Translated Maps page was a precursor to the WoG version.  I say this because I have a WoG map called Tania, from Grayface's 1.3GB Heroes III bit-torrent download, and in the Map Editor, that map looks identical to the mini-maps shown on the TM page.

As I now further recall, ByteBandit thought highly of that map, but it has a huge number of scripts with text in them, and when I ran the text through Google Tranlate, I got little which I could work with - as explained above by the other commenters.  So the plan to translate it was abandoned.

(Maybe the version ByteBandit played and liked was the SoD version, not the WoG version.)

ByteBandit is on the staff at Celestial Heavens, and is the part-owner (with Pol) and moderator of the Yahoo Groups WoG Archive, so if he is still around he could be reached at either site, but he went on a prospecting trip five or six months ago, and I have not heard from him since.

Thanks for the reply. I did find his email address at Celestial Heavens and have sent him an email. I too noticed his rave review of the WOG Tania Map which is why I was interested in playng it!!
