Fortress - 14
Warlock - 5
Inferno - 6
Necropolis - 7
So till now:
1st Fortress
2nd Warlock
3rd Necropolis

Nostalgia, nostalgia...
The way I see it is Fortress' got so much votes because it only appeared once in the series.
People are always regretting lost things.

I can honestly say I find Fortress's atmosphere, design and lineup more interesting than any other town in the series. Nothing else comes close.

I can honestly say I find Fortress's atmosphere, design and lineup more interesting than any other town in the series. Nothing else comes close.
Those 2 and just because every other town (except dwarves but they were boring anyway) had only one incarnationn!
Every one of them excluding the wyvern and the hydra only appeared once in the series.
Besides the only problem with it for me was the stats of the creatures not the designs!

Our Winner is the fabulous:
H3 Fortress
Congratulations to our Lizardmen friends, who got a whole lot of 14 points in the finals.
The second place goes to the enduring
Warlock
Tough having lost against the lizards fortress with only 6 points in the end, they still battled well during the competition.
The third place couldn't be decided, but it definitely goes to the bad guys, who both got 7 points in their struggle fr place 3:

Yeees Fortress is the best! 
Now how's it possible that one of the most unique factions to be ever present in HOMM were totally abandoned?  AND they have so many fans (yet still Ubisoft didn't bring them back in H5 AND in H6, as it seems so far anyways...hopefully the swamp will once again grace us with it's presence in an expansion )
