I tried fixing this error and I actually got it working by doing the following: (i dont know exactly why this worked)
- Installing Heroes III Complete Clean
- Installing Wog on "Heroes III Complete Clean"
- Extracting/Installing ERA to a empty folder for example folder "ERA"
- Copy all contents inside folder "ERA" into the Heroes III Complete + WOG
With this method I can launch the game without any errors. Though I do not know if this method of installing is a complete method, maybe this will cause other things to crash/not work? If im manually doing what the installer does then it should be OK but I doubt thats the case?

More details on how I did the installation at first (how it should be done, I presume)
- Installing Heroes III Complete Clean
- Installing WoG3.58_plus_Era1.8 v2.0 directly on "Heroes III Complete Clean"
- Choose some graphics settings (I've tried with different combinations and settings) and then "apply and launch".
- EIP error appears just as the heroes wog menu appears, when i press "OK" the game instantly closes
As a side note, the error I get when installing ERA directly onto Heroes III Complete, comes from within the game, just like ERM script errors. So to be clear it's not a "windows box" saying: " EIP = 0x004EED97 Attempt to divide an integer value by an integer divisor of zero ".
While installing I always also get the error that I must set my country & language to US/ENGLISH, thats exactly what I've done but the error still appears. Maybe this error causes the installation to be incomplete?
Also worth mentioning is that I use Windows 7 _64bit_, could that be the issue?

EDIT: Everything fixed now!
One of my friends came over and took a look at the whole thing, he then changed something within the registry so that the language/country was "force changed". With this change the wog installation was successful and theres no error on launch.
Which means that when language/country is set correctly your all-in-one installer works flawlessly

On which language you should set it on? I've tried en-US and en-UK and still not working. I'm running the game on Windows 8, the normal version of HoMM3 works perfectly, it's just WoG that crashes.

As I remember these heroes are in HOL 3.2 or 3.0, download HOL

thanks macron, i already have them downloaded, i will check. 
checked. not in 3.1 or 3.2(or the glory of war addon), so i guess it's in 3.0, which i won't download because it's on a site that requires access to your email. oh well.
