The baddie basically started a bunch of wars in order to get himself resurrected.

Edit:  Bah, I'm over it.  I'll just maneuver around it, as I've always done.

Seems I'm constantly worried that I'll tear the story down around our ears if I'm allowed full reign.  I need to know, plainly, what I am allowed and not allowed to do with Isabel.  Whether Isabel is allowed to talk to Elrath, for example.  (An explanation could be that her deep faith and strong connection to him allows her to temporarily go around whatever wards Sar-Elam has put in place.  Faith and belief can run far deeper than any magic can.)  Whether the characters are allowed to hurt the Phoenix Lady.  Things like that.  I don't want to ruin your story/the game just because I went overboard.  =[

Ylaya:

Derelin and his companion were walking through yet another bog. His companion had a shattered arm and partially collapsed rib cage, but he was the one that was better off. Derelin couldn't even walk on his own.

The undead had followed them. They had pursued the two dark elves ceaselessly for the last two weeks, and even their elven stamina, luck and assassin's conditioning hadn't allowed them to escape the never ending, tireless pursuit of those already dead. Derelin muttered something from his delusional comatose dreams and his companion collapsed.

Right outside of a cave.

Heartened by this discovery, he dragged his final blood brother into the cave as the first of the undead came. He swore, drawing both his crossbow and Derelin's in one smooth moment and killed a litch leading a small expedition force before it could react. In retaliation, three skeleton archers fired on him, planting three arrows squarely in his chest. The dull thumps aroused Derelin, and someone else who had been sleeping and recovering until now...

The undead fired on Derelin as he coughed up blood and began to stir. Other necromatic minions rushed toward the gap as sixty arrows blackened the sky. A black force repulsed both the minions and the arrows. The undead that this force came in contact with dissolved, and the arrows were fired back upon the creatures that let them fly in the first place. Ylaya stepped out of the protective shadows as the second undead wave began to come at her. Another black pulse slammed into them, and meteors fell from the sky. Undead exploded all around her as Ylaya continued to chant her prayer to Malassa. Three more waves came, and each one fell in a similar, if not identical, way. Malassa had large amounts of rage to work off, and if she couldn't do it through her high priestess then...

As the last of the undead crumbled into oblivion, Ylaya used her own powers to heal Derelin of the worst of his injuries. His breathing eased as most of his arm regrew, and Derelin's chest was healed. His first waking sight was that of Ylaya, and instantly Derelin tried to stand so that he could follow proper etiquette, but fell to the ground moaning instead. She had pushed his head into the ground as he tried to rise. "I just healed you. Don't you dare try to get yourself killed because of some ancient and invalid custom."

Derelin just looked at her speechlessly. Not only was he alive, but the keeper of law was telling him to ignore one of their race's oldest customs. The surprise must have shown, because
Ylaya laughed. Chuckled really, both bitterly and sweetly.

"Tell me what's happened with Findan, Derelin, and I will explain my side of the story." Again, his shock was clear, but the scout explained everything that he had witnesses to her quickly. She nodded, obviously interested. "That explains rather allot." And then she told him about Thralsai's resurrection. Derelin looked at her with mute shock. "Yes, exactly. We have to stop him before he can start another clan war."

Derelin considered her words for a second before he laughed. She glared at him in shock and indignation. "Wait, wait. Before you kill me, please let me explain, Mistress. Thralsai is already as good as dead." Her look transformed into one of confusion. "Violent and reclusive as Vayshan is, I give him one thing," He sighed. "No matter how much of a road block or how reclusive he is, that master assassin is loyal to you and Raelag to a fault. Thralsai has pitted himself against him and you... So he signed his own death warrant. Never liked him anyways..."

Ylaya's expression went blank for a second before she smiled cruelly. "This means that I can look for Findan that much sooner. Thank you, Derelin. So, captain of my hidden honor guard," She held out her hand. "What say you to finding them?"

A divine strength coursed though him as Derelin took her hand. "I walk with you until the end, my mistress."

Thralsai hissed a curse as another scout brought reports of yet another defeat. He grabbed the closest elf to him and hissed, "Bring me a leader." The man nodded and ran off, leaving Thralsai and his closest generals.

"Now-" He began, and then, almost simultaneously, blade tips sprouted from their chests and a knife slit Thralsai's throat. Vayshan kicked the dead elf's body and grunted dismissively. "Alright, assassins. Our work here is done." And with that, all of the assassins and stalkers faded away into nothing...

Vayshan really is not that good of a guy... His character Bio. basically boils down to "A cruel, albeit loyal, B*stard who hates the elves with an even greater passion than normal."

So it's more like the random OP guy coming in to save the day just once for no other reason than he was in the neighborhood. (I do not expect Evinin allowing his continued survival for very long after that... Otherwise, Wyngaal and Lethos will kill him)

From what I've observed/ written myself...

You are allowed to do anything with your characters except make them gods (Unless that happen to be gods...)

Interference depends on how much interference you want there to be... (Try to be a little fair)

Sure, you can hurt her. But killing her is out of the question.

I slept for more than 7 hours and I missed so much...

Kuz - I already told you - do whatever you want, if something has to be another way the Phoenix Lady will take care of it. She's so helpful.

Anyway - Gnomes... What did you do to the poor guy? I'm *bad guys* so going to kick Ylaya's behind now...

She seems selfish for sacrificing her friends for her own personal gain.  And the way she viciously toys with her victims, plays mind games with them.

Why?  Did I miss a part where I was supposed to sympathize with her?  8o  All her anguish over bad stuff that's happening to her friends is kinda foolish because she brought that misfortune upon them when she made a deal with the dragon.  Wait did I totally miss that I'm supposed to feel sorry for her despite her cruelty?  I don't really like arrogantly cruel people...

But she's desperately trying to save her own life... She's slowly and painfully dying, forgotten by her so called friends... They all come to her when they need help, nothing more. It pains her but she's just lonely and sad - she doesn't want to die like that. Killing a lot of people and showing her powers won't help her much but it will give her the life that she lost because of those heroes... (soon to come)
