There's no possibility to uninstall WoG completely, because WoG adds/replaces files to h3 lod packages.

In an attempt to make my ERM scripts work properly, I had to unistall my WOG version (to remove the XXL map feature I had) only to re-install it on a clean version so that I can share my issues with working out the scripts online.  However, since it's been a while since I installed the game, I'm having trouble doing so.  What is the folder path destination I need? so far I have a separate games folder on my desktop that reads:

C:UsersOwnerDesktopGames3DOHeroes 3 Complete

That was the extension that I used to extract wog initially as far as I can remember, but when I extract it, nothing happens.

Any ideas where I can install it to make it run again?

I think install ERA II is better option than clean WoG.

I used the link that Sal provided in his "Thread: ERA: 100+ mods available, links and previews" under the WOG revised link. I trust his opinion, but are you suggesting another link?

Ah ok, you confuse the mod with the platform. Wog 3.58 was platform, now is only a mod while Era is the platform.

Installing is easy. You need Heroes Complete or SoD, better to install it in your principal disk, not in Program Files which was the default directory 15 years ago.

Then install Era in this Heroes folder, then mods, same path. When display in mod manager, wog mod must be at bottom, then wog revised -if you wish it, I recommend anyway, then all the other mods.

I couldn't found the answer for how can we merge txt files into h3bitmap.lod (or other .lod files) after extracting them.

SND/VID/PAC editor. But you can put txt files straight into Data directory and override txt from lods in that way.

When I click SND/VID/PAC editor, MMArchive opens. How to merge files through there?
But if putting txt files directly to Data folder works, then I don't need to merge them.
Thank you for answer.

For future reference. To put any files in h3bitmap/h3sprite.lod files you simply click Add... button in MMArchive and then choose file you want to replace.

Thank you very much.

By the way I can confirm that putting txt file directly to Data folder works. But game crashes if you try to play Era with this way. But original HoMM 3 works.

Thanks again.
