Replicating the official topic, we're aiming to tease out a new and, hopefully, comprehensive FAQ on the game with Ubisoft's support.

Please submit all your questions about the project and hope to goodness that they're answered in a timely way.

I realise there isn't enough info on several subjects to ask about. In these cases, post questions asking for more info I already re-submitted the questions which didn't get fully answered last time. Multiple members repeating the question is fine and fully encouraged (it lets them judge the emphasis of what you're asking).

I promise that every single question asked here will be seen by the devs. I can guarantee nothing about answers, but Ubi know what's good for them

How many levels of difficulties are there? and how can we adjust the behavior of the AI?
for example can we disable retreat for them, make them build whenever they can and use all spells...

6. Are the town screens ready and will you show us some of them shortly (shortly means in 2-3 weeks at most, unlike "soon")?
7. There are some tiles on the battlefield shown in the first combat gameplay video which look like the power nodes from Disciples III (grant bonuses to the creatures that occupy them). Are their concepts similar?
8. Will there be an open beta and how open will it be?


AND one more, very important: How will the control point be manned?

More to come when they prove that they are willing to answer with something different than "we can't reveal this yet/we'll speak about it soon".
By the way, I expect this to be very messy. People have many question which they were just not allowed to ask during the last several months due to informational blackout...

IMPORTANT FOR ME:

1. Will there be XL Custom Maps for Hotseat MP in game or available for download on release day?

2. How many Buildings will there be per town? Unique or not.

3. Especially about Magic Guilds. Are there any magic guilds in towns or do you get to learn new spells like you do with other skills?

Other questions for curiosity's sake

1. Will you be able to leave guards on a mine without a Hero, just to keep it flagged?

2. Will Bosses fight alone against a Hero and his entire army or will they be summoning reinforcements like in King's Bounty?

3. How many different neutral monsters will there be? (Not which ones, just how many)

4. Can custom maps start with random factions?

5. Is there any consideration for future expansions to see alternative upgrades, a total of 8 factions at least and an RMG returning? Please say yes!

1. Are there any known voice actors contributing to the game?
2. Will the factions heroes have different mounts?
3. Will the heroes gender, face, race show on the adventure map and in battles?
4. Will there be a more expensive release with extra material as with homm V?
5. How many different adventure map objects are in the game?
6. Presuming that the fifth factions is Nagas, will there be an "introduction" (in some form or another) of the factions history and lore leading up to their appearance in Heroes VI?
7. Will there be neutral creatures present in the game from the previous factions that are not included in the initial release?
8. Will there be leader boards, rankings and trophies in the game?
9. Are there any plans to create an i-phone/pad application to follow the development of the game?
10. Will there be cinematic sequences during the campaigns?

- In the past it is said that you can make custom heroes and there will be premade heroes as wel. How many premade heroes will there be per faction?

- Given that there are 7 magic schools, how many spells are there per school?

- How many levels of spells are there, without any consideration of schools? And which levels are you able to learn without any skill in that specific school?

- Will Hero skills be devided in primary and secondary abilites like they were in HoMMIV/HoMMV or just in single abilities like in all the previous incarnations.

- How will the primary and advanced Hero classes be divided?

- Will the weekly income of a given town with capitol be sufficient to buy a weeks worth of basic creatures or even upgraded creatures? (I honestly hate it when it I need to flag x extra goldmines just to buy a weeks worth of basic creatures)

- Will we be able to buy basic creatures even though we have the ability to upgrade them?

- Will the Hero-trails return? And how accurate are they? (Because you had no, basic and powerfull trails in the next, but as soon as you got to powerfull trails there was no idication anymore as they did not increase after that. And a lvl 5 hero with a weeks worth of creatures could have a powerfull trail, but a lvl 25 with month's growth of creatures could as well)

- Will towns have unique perks and biographies again?

1. Will hero's specialty make a comeback? If yes, how it will be treated? the similar 3 and 5 or the totally new concept?
2. Any changes on war Machine?
3. Compares to 7 lvls Tier vs Core, Elite and Champion. Where the respective units in term of "Basic Statistic" stands? Example Core is equal to lvl 2-4 in tier system, Elite 5-6 and Champion to 7?
4. On Life, Neutral, Death branching. what the condition of Hero to progress to Life path, Neutral Path or Death path? Skill of Choice? Like Skill A give +1 to Life Path and specific number of points will lead to the advance class? Or it is something completely different?
5. Related to 4, Can you hold your class advancing? or will it happened automatically. In some case, maybe I want to choose Death path for easier condition in early game but ultimately aim to Neutral for end game purpose, is that possible?

My questions:
1) Even though there is 400 years gap between H5 and H6 will some heroes return in H6? (Necropolis maybe!?)
2) Will some scenarios in H5 have any connection with H6 storyline?
3) Academy, Sylvan, Dungeon will probably return in expansions, but do they have plans for new factions? (Not counting naga faction)
4) Will maps be more balanced as well as heroes (racial) abilities?
5) If there is a chance to bring back old heroes (Sandro, Crack Hack, Gelu...) how do they intend to do that if there is a large time gap between games? (400 years)
6) Will special buildings in towns support heroes racial ability or there will be other bonuses to your town?
7) Will there be new war machines?
8) Will dragons have any role in H6 (as bosses and in storyline)
9) Do you plan expand story about Asha and the rest of the dragons and will there be new dragon gods?
10) Any info about Behemoth and Rocs/Thunderbird? Will they return?

Factions & Creatures

1. Why did you make the descision to remove Devils as Inferno's traditionally most powerful unit and made the Pit Fiend the Champion instead?

2. Will we see creatures from other, non-western mythologies for the fifth faction?

3. Now be honest, was the H6 Vampire's looks inspired by Arthas and the Lich King in Warcraft?

4. Are you trying to avoid to make Dragons 7th level/champion creatures in H6?

5. One of the more well received creatures in H5 was the Rakshasa Rani and HC actually voted it as the best Heroes creature of all time. Is there any chance that we'll see it some time in H6?

6. The Seven Cities aka the Wizards are mentioned everywhere in H6. In what way will they appear in H6 or will they not appear at all? Perhaps as neutrals?

7. The H3 Fortress is also incredibly popular among the fans. Have you ever thought of reintroducing that faction?

8. What was it that made you choose Stronghold as the fourth faction instead of Sylvan, Dungeon or even Academy itself?

Story

1. Of all the Elemental Dragons, Ylath seems to be ones that has got the least attention. Any plans for him?

2. Are there only humans living in the Free Cities and how are they different from the Empire?

3. What made you choose to go with a prequel setting instead of let's say a post-apocalyptic setting after the Dark Messiah story?

4. Will the Wood elves appear in H6 at all? Because looking at the timeline, the majority of the interesting stuff with them seems to happen around this time.

5. Sylvana as her Emerald Dragons, Arkath his Fire Dragons et cetera. Is it safe to asume that Elrath has Light Dragons and Ylath Storm Dragons?

6. Speaking of Dragons, do Urgash have Chaos Dragons and Asha Order Dragons?

For some reason Jaba didn't thought that you could ask more then 1 question so here are some more

* Will racial skills apply to other factional units? (gating with Haven units, Guardian angel and necro units...)
* Will there still be sets for artifacts?
* Will Pandoras Box make a return?
* Will there still be regions without towns? if so how will the mines and dwellings work there? (really hope these regions exists)
* Will Heroes 6 have a smart modding system, similar to that of Oblivion or Fallout 3 where you easily can select the mods that you wish to have active?
* Will Heroes 6 have achievements? (don't really care, but interesting nevertheless )
* Will H6 have more or less different map-object than TotE?

And some question that other have asked that I'm also is extremely interested in:

some questions about the map-editor...

Apologize my bad englisch

-Will the new Editor be like H5 that a map can have integrated mods -> You don't need an extern Modification to make a Map with modded Objects work? I liked that very much.

-Will there be finally more walk levels like they tried it in H4? For example, that you can walk on a bridge and undera bridge at the same time ?

-Will the water look more realistic this time?

-Will there be an option to place realistic waterfalls(with animated water and stuff)?

-Will there be suspension bridges? ( )

-What about stairs? (Like in LotR, Moria)

-How big can the maps be now? Is 320x320 the tallest size?

-Are the borders of the map still visible or did you thought of an alternative (For example an option that you are able to 'hide' the borders visually from the player).

* Why have there been so many changes from the H5 formula?
* Why is the map still mostly at the H5 scale rather than returning to the (possibly) less resource intensive H1-4 scale?

My questions are all lorewise

1. Will there be new info on: the blind brothers,silent sisters, dragon knights?
2. Will the game eventually explain how Kha-Beleth came to be?
3. If Pao is the name of a group of islands than what does kai in orcish mean? ( e.g. Paokai - The drakes of Pao)
4. Has Tieru been born already at this point in the timeline? If yes is he still an elf druid(ranger) or has he already become a dragon knight?
5. This is a remark not a question.
Leaving black dragons out is a bad idea.

Will it be coming to the Steam service? Many Ubisoft games are on Steam including HoMM 5 + all its expansions.

One question:

1) The hero fanbase has traditionally been characterized by very diverging oppinions on a number of crucial game points. Have you considered including options for customerization in the game, so that players can select between different game modes in the game menu before playing (in other words, turn features on/off like in Heroes 3 WoG)?

For me, the most important question:

Will constant Internet connection be required to play the game? (Like Assassins Creed II)

For a poor sod living out in the country, the connection is bound to break every so often. Which is why I like offline games such as HoMM.

Now for the other questions:

1. Will heroes be unique? Meaning no one sharing the same specialty/stats/etc.
2. How will you prevent a cookie-cutter build on heroes without the randomness? (Or will one not be prevented at all?)
3. Will:
- Alternate upgrades
- "Old" factions (For me, Sylvan and Academy)
- Heroes on the battlefield
Return in expansions?
4. Will there be artifacts with different bonuses depending on the hero type? (like Sar-Issus stuff with Wizard in V)
5. Will there be artifacts that can be combined/used in different sets? (Like a Hammer of Might being used in the Grut's Legacy set or Rutger's Glory set?)

There will be an online DRM?

Can we expect an open beta?

What's the name and race of the fifth faction?

How moddable will the game be? Can we add creatures and factions easily, even that for use only in single-player mode?

How the skill system works?

How the Creature Recruiting will work? All creatures from the same tier will cost the same amount of 'creature resource'?

How will Heroes learn spells? How inferno corrupted versions of other spells will work?

How the reputation system works? Is it tied to advanced classes? And advanced classes, will have what kind of benefit? A class exclusive skill tree or something? Different visuals?

Can you give us an example of custom created Hero, in video, perhaps?

How many neutrals are in the game and will they be recruitable through dwellings (pretty please, I needs phoenix)?

There are going to be cooler artifacts, perhaps some adding skills in battle (both for creatures and hero) and adventure map?

There are really going to be ultra combo lazors for all creatures, like the vampire jumping and slashing the enemy?
