Mitt Romney: +60 years old.
Ron Paul: +70 years old.
Rick Santorum: +50
Rick Perry: +60 (I actually think he looks very good for his age)
Newt Gingrich: Almost 70.
Sweden: Average age of the party leaders is like 35.
Obama cheated.
I win.

All the old, rich men will be doing two debates this weekend; on Saturday and Sunday. And on Tuesday it's all eyes on New Hampshire.
If Gingrich keeps his word, he is going hard after Romney. Huntsman has run a bunch of attack ads on Paul, we'll see if he dares go after him in the debates. Santorum will probably get hit by most, having a very liberal record, but he himself will probably try to go after Romney as the front runner. Romney will just try to stay out of it, talking around the issues and not make any further 10.000$ bets.

CAN'T BELIEVE that Rick Perry is on the ABC Debate. He's a ghost.
Rick Perry just said he wanted troops back in Iraq. Now that is the definition of putting a nail in the coffin. Opps?
My bets on New Hampshire:
Gingrich is only losing people by attacking Romney. I think Gingrich will be out within a few weeks.
I'm thinking that Romney has probably gained some momentum from the Iowa victtory. At the same time, he is in the spotlight now and he's going to be attacked a lot more.
Huntsman has focused on NH, but I don't think that he will do very well in the debates.
Ron Paul seems to have a large bunch of grassroots pretty much everywhere, but is it enough?
Hopefully he will succeed in the debates.
I think the in the end, the NH election will stand between Romney and Ron Paul.

Don't discount Huntsman in NH. He has been pushed really hard lately, and we could see the same thing with him as with Santorum in Iowa. But after that he doesn't have anywhere to go.

Could somebody tell me why people hate the "Everybody gets healthcare" Obama reform?
Or why "Some" here hate the democrats?
I see the republicans as being right wing extremists. I heard things from them that sounded retarded.
McCain, "US must be a christian state" or something. WTF? And they accuse Iran of being fanatical...

We liberals hate the healthcare reform because it didn't go far enough. We have a mandate to purchase health insurance but the government won't compete with private insurance companies and offer a public option.
The right hates healthcare reform because, I don't know why. After all, the idea for a mandate to buy health insurance came from the republicans themselves.
Edit: And yes Seraphim, the republicans have gone further and further to the right over the last few decades. Chalk that up to the unholy union between the christian evangelicals and the business class. The evangelicals press for crazy laws on social issues, garnering a lot of media attention, while the business class slowly enriches itself more and more.

1) For healthcare, the cost. Where is the money supposed to come from for everyone to have healthcare? Raising taxes is not realistic. Reallocating spending is a possibility but not likely given the current behavior of the parties.
2) People hate the Democrats for the same reasons they hate Republicans: The attitudes and values of that particular party clash with their own.
As to the evangelicals, that's why I no longer support the party. I can't be a Republican who is pro gay marriage rights and pro choice.

And the so-called moderate pokes his head up.
With healthcare being decoupled from small businesses, companies, and corporations, the cost of doing business becomes exponentially cheaper. The government already runs popular and successful healthcare programs; government employee and Medicare. With the government offering competitive healthcare at a fraction of the cost, the private insurers will no longer be able to afford the obscene salaries for their CEOs. They would either be forced to change their wage scales or shut down. It is a win-win situation either way.

The federal employee program isn't a gov't run insurance program. It's a private insurance program that was negotiated to a very low cost per person due to the sheer volume of employees the federal government has.
The biggest program with insurance right now is that it's virtually impossible to get an individual plan for a reasonable cost, and the gov'ts current plan for federal employees does absolutely nothing to solve this problem. It's really not different at all from any plan any other private company has... and it's certainly not FREE.

Quote: The right hates healthcare reform because, I don't know why. After all, the idea for a mandate to buy health insurance came from the republicans themselves.
They made a reason to hate it then. Public opinion on this bill is very heated, since there are people that are saying that it is a cut on freedom to force everyone to purchase something (of one brand or another), and then there are people who don't like it because they cannot afford it. Really, it's just the mandatory bit that is a problem.
Democrats and Republicans just don't like each other because social media and social immersion/ teaching tells them (from a very, very young age) that they can't get along. That's the problem with current multi-party political systems these days, ideas other than their own are denounced and are evil, parties cannot change or grow because of that, and so they stagnate and bicker while ignoring everything else. Does anyone else see the problem here, or am I the only one? (Moderates unite!)
