@You may love everything Obama stands for. I loath his actions to take away freedoms from the American people and his stated desire to redistribute wealth. He is a VERY dangerous man politically.
Don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less about what he does for the american people, because it won't really have an effect on me. I do not know him personally, so I do not defend him personally. I may have a similar way of thinking in some points when it comes down to "How can a community of people survive in the best way?" I don't think the "only the strong survive" attitude is THE way to go. The stronger should always help the weaker, that way, the most survive.

But I just find it disrespectfull to make fun out of his name only because you dislike his actions. Point out his faults, that's how political "enemies" should act, but they shouldn't attack themselves personally below the line of respect.

I agree that the stream of parody names you keep giving the president makes you sound - as a euphemistic way of putting it - uninformed. I know the same has been done for Bush or any other president, but you can maintain a strong opposition to somebody's position without resorting to remarks that make you appear childish. At least that's how looks to me.

There are several members here that I think act much worse than you do and only receive a fraction of the criticism, but you're still not helping yourself any. "Obumy" is not an ideal way to start a post.

It all comes down to the double standards thing that rears its ugly head from time to time. It is ok to make fun of a political figure who is conservative, and to bash him (or her in Palin's instance)to your heart's content but liberals have a cow if one of their heroes is not worshiped by everyone.

So just for clarity, it is now considered a COC violation to speak disrespectfully against anyone be they a member of the Heroes community or the leader of a third world dictatorship, eh?

Under Obama Immigration Enforcement officers face punishment for doing their jobs. Conservatives in Congress demand an explanation for an officer facing a three days suspension for arresting an illegal alien who had a ton of traffic violations. The illegal alien was released.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., is demanding answers after a report surfaced that a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent is facing punishment for arresting an illegal immigrant.

The unidentified agent could face a three-day suspension after he arrested a 35-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico who had as many as 10 traffic violations.

The agent was ordered by supervisors to release the individual because he was not a "priority target." When the officer balked, he was threatened with a three-day suspension and the illegal alien was let go.

"The actions that it appears were taken by your agency send a message to agents in the field that they will be punished for doing their duty and enforcing the law," Sessions wrote in an letter to ICE Director John Morton and obtained exclusively by Fox News.

Left wing pollers are busy with their deceptions again. However, dispite all the efforts to the left wing media Obama will fail in the fall and America can start the road to recovery in the spring.

Clicky

Quote:

On what alternate universe will Democrats enjoy a D +19 turnout advantage over Republicans on election day? Well, that would be Planet Pew:

The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted July 16-26, 2012, among 2,508 adults, including 1,956 registered voters, finds that, in keeping with his favorability advantage, Obama continues to hold a sizable lead over Romney in the election contest. Currently, 51% say they support Obama or lean toward him, while 41% support or lean toward Romney.

Except….

Sample Size:

459 Republicans

813 Democrats

599 Independents

In the best election season Democrats have enjoyed since Nixon resigned, 2008, the Democrat advantage was only D+8, but Pew is now attempting to hustle us into believing the turnout this  year is going to be D +19.

The internals make even less sense. According to the same Pew poll that has Obama up by 10 nationally, he's only ahead by 4 in the swings states, but he's losing to Romney with independents 45-43%.

As if that doesn’t make Pew look ridiculous enough, The Economist released a new national poll today with a slightly less absurd sample of D +10, but they show Romney in the lead, 46-44%.

And this is the third intentionally skewed media-poll dropped on us in just a few days. Last week NBC dropped a D +11, and just a couple of days ago, Quinnipiac and The New York Times dropped three swing state polls with absurdly skewed partisan samples. Both showed Obama in the lead and both allowed the media to give our failed president more than a few positive news-cycles and Romney all kinds of phony concern-trolling.

And yet, today, Rasmussen has Romney up by two nationally, and Gallup only has Romney behind by two. Rasmussen uses the tighter screen of likely voters and Gallup uses the less reliable screen of registered voters.

I know who I believe.

Moreover, Gallup just released a survey that shows Democrat voter enthusiasm is at its lowest point in years, and Republican enthusiasm is a full 12 points higher. But according to these whack jobs at Pew, Democrats will still almost triple their advantage in 2012.

So what's going on here?

Well, it's very simple.

This is nothing more than an act of intentional juicing to keep The Narrative alive that says Obama is winning and that Romney can't get his act together. You see, it works like this…

The only way our failed president can win is if Romney is disqualified; if voters don’t see him as an acceptable alternative. So if the media and their pollsters can bedevil him with nonsense -- fabricated gaffes, audacious lies, D +19 sample sizes -- it keeps Romney on his heels, on defense, and smothers his ability to get his message out. In other words, it makes Romney look incompetent, and if Romney looks incompetent, the American people won’t hire him, no matter how much they want to fire Obama -- and they are desperate to fire Obama, believe me.

The timing of this juiced poll is also likely not an accident. Tomorrow the July job numbers come out, so what better way to distract from what will likely be bad news for Obama than with an absurdly skewed poll that allows the corrupt media to squirrel the job numbers and go right back to talking about Romney's inability to run a competent campaign? A perfect pivot…

Gee, Andrea, with these lousy job numbers, Romney really should be ahead, but he just can’t get his act together.

My friend Guy Benson of Townhall made a great point during a segment we just finished recording for his Sunday radio show -- that a heck of a lot more people are going to see and hear headlines that read "Obama Up By 10" than the analysis exposing the poll as a farce.

So beyond The Narrative-plus Obama wins in the media over the next few days, Pew's cooking of the books also keeps Obama artificially ahead in the Real Clear Politics poll of polls, gives the media something to distract from tomorrow's jobs numbers, and demoralizes Republicans unaware of the juiced internals.

Win-win-win-win, baby!

There's nothing Obama can’t accomplish with the Media-Poll Propaganda Machine dialed up to 10.

NOTE: I called and left a message to get a comment from Pew. As of this writing no one has called me back.

I really hate to break this to you...err, wait.  No actually I rather enjoy breaking this to you Elodin but you are seriously deluded if you think Romney is going to do anything different about illegal immigration.  It should be obvious by now that Romney represents the "money" wing of the GOP.  All those people filling his campaign coffers are the titans of industry and every single one of them when they look at their business spreadsheets grinds their teeth when they get to the row that says "labor".  The money class loves cheap Mexican labor and that's because it suppresses wages everywhere, not just in the gritty jobs that the Mexicans take.

And while I'm at it I should mention that I happen to like your average Mexican peasant more than your average southern gun-waving conservative. Their simple Catholicism is nowhere near as obnoxious as the fanatical evangelistic protestantism with which I'm already very familiar.  Their music is much more enjoyable than country and western, their cuisine is tastier than american food,  and their women are cuter to boot.  So if your whole campaign here in this thread is to convince people that another 4 years of Obama equals more Mexicans and more pissed off southern white conservatives than I'd have to say that's an excellent reason to vote for him again.

Obumy has filed suit against Ohio to try to cut down on the amount of time the military has to vote. Most military members are conservative, so the Bumster wants to stop as many service members from voting as possible. Sadly Obama fights to keep illegal aliens on the voting roles and to keep military members from voting.

Clicky

Quote:

However, the National Guard Association and other military groups have fired back, saying it's "offensive" for Democrats to suggest in the lawsuit it's arbitrary for service members to get special consideration.

Men and women in uniform typically get more time than other voters to send in absentee ballots since they may be serving in an overseas or domestic location that is not close to their home polling station.

"I'm just outraged by this," Mike DeWine, the Republican state attorney general in Ohio, told Fox News. "I can't believe the Obama campaign and the state Democratic Party are actually saying there's no rational basis for a distinction between someone who is in the military voting and someone who is not in the military."

The stakes in this legal battle are huge because Obama is anxious to keep Ohio's 18 electoral votes in the Democratic column this November. He has already visited the state nine times this year alone.

Since no Republican has won the White House without carrying the Buckeye State, GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is fighting just as hard and on Friday lashed out at the Democrats’ lawsuit.

“President Obama's lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state's early voting period is an outrage," he said Saturday. "I stand with the 15 military groups that are defending the rights of military voters, and if I'm entrusted to be the commander-in-chief, I'll work to protect the voting rights of our military, not undermine them.”

I never really got the appeal for american politics that seems to exist in Sweden. People who in reality aren't even the slighest interested in  politics keep saying "Oh, american politics are so exciting!" I guess it's just a cool thing to say that you find american politics fun and interesting. To me, american politics are incredibly boring since they are all about polarization, boring constitution BS and throwing feces at the opponent.

Politics is like marketing, except instead of making a crappy product seem appealing you turn yourself into gold. Oh wait, that's normal politcs, american politics consists of setting fire to everyone else's industry and bribing their workforce, repeat until nobody has anything left and the best backstabber takes the reins.

I'm just curious to see how many more times America will **** itself before it realizes how it could've saved alot of grief by doing what the barbarians across the salty-water do.
