@ Just Joe:

Cute, um you seem to be all over me like a cheap hooker on this.

I am not referring to your drowning in Jack Daniels Indian tribes, I am referring to getting back to the root of taking care of yours and living a more primitive life style. C'mon you know this.

Tribes that still exists in other parts of the world and there are several of them who have no idea what welfare is and why, because they take care of their own. You need to follow your thought process through to fruition on this. So this is about letting our system fail so we can start the process over.

Are you saying that, learning from other countries' success' is a bad idea?
Quote:

Um, Sweden is NOT an example of this, I just stated their unemployment is high and quoted from the OECD, “the Swedish economy has experienced a deep contraction, on there way to a crisis. A gradual recovery has started, but economic slack is very large, and unemployment will continue for some time.” Another reason of why we should not be so intertwined with other countries.

Yea, I don't see how that equates to learning from other countries success. That is like watching Jerry Springer for relationship advice.
Are you a Springer fan?

Funny, though SS isn't still what the original program was for, it is one of the most efficient and liked across the board programs we have. The biggest issue with it was when Reagan established the precedent of dipping into it's funds for other government programs so that it appeared that he was not racking up the debt he did (which we are still paying just the interest on 30+ years later).
Quote:

LOL, HEHE, oh God hold on I am in tears..This is so funny. We are in the process of figuring out how to save this system, we are due to run out of money by 2036 if not sooner. The time is coming when too many people are living too long for the system to be able to maintain a positive or even neutral cash flow. This is fact, since you like them so much. IT'S A FAILING SYSTEM EVEN THOSE THAT LEAN LEFT KNOW THAT. Now this is not a demarcate or republican issue, its a numbers issue.

Sweden was one of the countries that handled the financial crisis the best, compared to other european countries our unemployment is low. And our 8% unemployment is not because of economical crisises but because of immigration/failed integration and an outdated labour model that was adapted for the industrial society.

For the US, it's certainly a flawed system. Luckily not all countries will end up like that country. Personally, I welcome our new socio-capitalist Asian overlords.

I love how liberals think when the government "provides" something that the products or services are free. No, they are not free, someone else was forced to pay for them for you. So every time someone gets their welfare check, food stamps, "free rent," "free health care," ect, they should go find a successful person and kneel down and kiss their feet because that person paid for part of the "free" government handout.

It used to be that everyone thought they should work with their own two hands and provide for their family. Now they want somebody else to work and provide for their family. Ridiculous.

Uhbumuh does not want to give you anything of his own. He wants to steal from hard working successful folks and bribe people to vote for him with "free stuff." Such are hypocritical Marxists. They want everyone else to redistribute their wealth but are unwilling to redistribute their own.

Obumy is illegally trying to waive the requirement for welfare recipients to actively look for work. As the election draws closer and closer Obama is trying to buy more and more votes with taxpayer money. The Repulbicans are fighting such illegal activity on Obama's part. Congress is supposed to make the laws, not the dictator-in-chief-wannabe.

what? that proposition sounds like something the republicans would support

or are they automatically against it "just because" it comes from the democrats?

During the Clinton years a bill was passed with bipartisan support to reform welfare. This bill requires people who receive welfare to actually look for work. Obumy has decided to declare the requirements null and void.

Obumy does not have the power to legislate. He is illegally overstepping his Constitutional authroity. Congress makes laws, not the president.

I don't understand why you think Republicans would not want people to look for work. Free loading off the taxpayers is a democrat idea.

I don't want people to starve to death.
Neither do I want people to live their lives of tax money.

I want people to feel that they have a good base to stand on. A base that gives them all the possibilities to become whatever they want. A base that makes them dare taking the risks to start a business, a base that encourages education, responsibility, choice, solidarity and labour. A base that makes people feel secure and know that no citizen - poor, rich, healthy, sick, young or old - ever gets left behind.

I want people to know and feel that working and paying taxes gives both them as individuals and the society something back.

I remember you in former discussions always being the guy pointing out how important it is to treat everyone else with respect. I am pretty sure, the bible teaches things like respect aswell. But the way how you make fun out of the name of your president is childish and completely respectless.

I really want you to stop that, otherwise I am not sure it makes much sense that you take part in discussions where Obama is part of the topic.

Treat others like you want to be treated!!

I respect the office of the presidency but I have no respect for the Marxist tyrant who now occupies that office. He is continually committing illegal activities and it certainly seems he would love to seize absolute dictatorship if he thought he could get away with it.

Satire and roasting of political figures is certainly a time honored tradition. Bush has certainly been called quite a few things on this board, including murderer and war criminal. I don't recall you ever once objecting to such false characterizations of him.

You may love everything Obama stands for. I loath his actions to take away freedoms from the American people and his stated desire to redistribute wealth. He is a VERY dangerous man politically.
