When I hear Brewmaster I hear unrealism I hear BO RAI CHO the stupid joke character from Mortal Kombat, I hear Pandaran bullsnow from warcraft, I hear alcohol is bad for you and some boys only like it because it makes them look cool just like watching soccer all the time to become one of the males.

Really stupid, but I don't really fear such a creature becomes reality in HOMM games ever, thats what I like about HOMM, the stupid jokes are really low, unlike warcraft and mortal kombat which are full of silly non-funny jokes like Mokap, Bo Rai cho, Taurens, Brewmasters alcohol, boobie and soccer jokes girls never will understand.

Again, again and... again - bloody faminism. How do you succeed everytime in almost every post to include emancipative ideas.

For those "macho" type males. For us nerds, we play games usually without alcohol and gosh in our free times we wander gaming forums like HC. Got the point?

Men with alcohol, I don't get this stupid stuff.

Anyway, i'm glad everybody likes that proposal, my thoughts about some guys really becomes truth.

I only like bixie's proposal because it's huge(at least in my eyes) satire against the common, boring interpretation of dwarfs in modern fantasy.
Seriously I'm so ****ing tired of dwarfs So I rather have them as a joke faction then something that is "supposed" to be cool or serious. (note: I'm not talking about gameplay here.)

@veco
Way to go!
Hmm but I don't know who I should cheering for... :/

After two elf-factions cribbed directly from Warhammer, and elves being practically everywhere in common fantasy, you're tired of dwarves?
That's like saying you're tired of miniature vikings!

I will start posting my Sylvan creatures here.

Hero
Warden (Might) and Keeper (Magic)

Magic
Earth and Water

Creature Line-Up
Sylvan creatures are very fast, have very high attack and damage ratings but have very low defense and health stats. They need to use their Symbiosises (racial skill: creatures can give each other a special buff once per battle) and abilities wisely to survive.

Core
Pixie -> Sprite (looks more insectoid than like a fairy)

Hunter -> Ranger (female this time)

Shifter -> Beastsoul (male elf that can shift into werewolf and werebear form, tank and damage dealer)

Elite

Treant -> Brythreant (Brythreants are direct offsprings of Brythigga, the Mother of Trees who has a central role in my Sylvan proposal, Treants now walk on four main legs but still have two arms!)

Unicorn -> Unicorn Stag (this time, the unicorn is brown and looks like a mix between a deer, an elk and a horse)

Nymph -> Dryad (nothing like the H5 Dryads, these are the Sylvan casters and their ranged attack is actually sending out huge vines from their body to whip enemies, they can use the vines to transport other creatures around the battlefield)

Champion

Mantis -> Mantis Queen (these mantises, now much more evil looking, returns as champions!)

Boss

Emerald Dragon.

Brythigga, Mother of Trees.

Neutrals

Assassin (Core)

Shadow Dancer (Elite)

Faerie Dragon (Champion)

Pixie / Sprite
Pixies are forest spirits and children of the Mother of Trees, Brythigga. Pixies are neither large nor tough. Instead, they are very agile creatures and it is impossible for enemies to retaliate against a swarm of pixies. Insects are known to be attracted to the pixies, and it is not unusual to see a swarm of wasps accompany them. The pixies consider the wasps their closest allies, and the wasps assist them in combat.  As forest spirits, they can call upon the forces of nature to help the Sylvan armies on the battlefield. They can summon forth poisonous mushrooms that explode on impact, causing a gas that slows down enemies when inhaled. The Pixie symbiosis causes a burst of restorative energies, healing the pixie and her ally.

No Retaliation (Normal & Upgrade): Pixie and Sprite attacks can’t be retaliated.

Wasp Friend (Basic & Upgrade: When Pixies and Sprites attack, they afflict their enemy with Wasps reducing their Defense rating for a number of turns, depending on the number of Pixies or Sprite attackers.

Fungal Cluster (Upgrade): Fungal Cluster is an activated ability that summons a 2x2 cluster of mushrooms. When an enemy walks over the mushrooms – or when somebody kills them – they detonate into a 2x2 pool of gas, which removes half the movement points of those that walk within it. So if all mushrooms were detonated, the gas would cover a 4x4 area. Example: The enemy Cerberus has 10 speed. Sprite summons a Fungal Cluster in front of it. Normally, the Cerberus would run 10 tiles. But since he runs through the Fungal Cluster, he will only be able to run 5 tiles that turn.

Pixie Symbiosis (Normal & Upgrade): The Pixie Symbiosis heals the allied targeted creature, and heals the pixie back for half the amount healed.

Comments: Pixies are very nice early creatures. They have a lot of nice support abilities, and also deal decent. The weakness of the Pixies is their low survivability though No Retaliation helps with that. Wasp Friend makes Pixies ideal first attackers, so that they can increase the damage dealt by your other offensive creatures on the enemy creature who got hit by the Wasps. Especially nice against enemies with high defense, such as Sentinels. Fungal Cluster helps a lot. Sylvan creatures do not survive very well, and you’ll need to use all of your tools in order to keep your enemies away from you. It is also fun to watch when enemies walk right into those lovely little mushrooms and then get covered in slimy fungal goo! Finally, their Symbiosis is really nice to cover up those small but annoying losses early in the game. The main weakness of the pixies is that they pretty much get completely owned by enemy spells, so you may want to use the Unicorn symbiosis if you value them much.

Cut Stuff
Here are the H6-like descriptions for Pixie and Sprite that I cut because I realized that they would be kinda annoying.

No Retailation (Basic & Upgrade): “Remember men, make sure that you kill the pixies before they have the chance to attack you!  For retaliating against the pixies, is as easy as counterattacking the very winds around you.” – Said by General Brandwyn, a Falconer who led early skirmishes against the Wood elves in a failed attempt to seize the forests of Irollan and strip the land of resources.

Wasp Friend (Basic & Upgrade): “And by Urgash name, make sure you kill those pixies! Just that buzz they make makes me want to stick a Tormentor’s rib into my ears! Not to mention that those wasps eat right through the Juggernauts’ hardened skins! – Said by the Demon Lord Xaragh at the first Blood Moon eclipse.

Fungal Cluster (Upgrade):  “Sprite summon mushroom! Mushroom is poison! Walk on mushroom, Pao-Kai get poison! Me know Pao-Kai is blind. But still Pao-Kai must try not to walk on little mushroom AGAIN!” – When the Orcs first tamed the ferocious Pao-Kai, they had a hard time teaching this creatures to not land straight on top of a cluster of poisonous mushrooms

Pixie Symbiosis (Normal and Upgrade): “A pixie a day, keeps the age away!” – An old elven saying referring to the healing touch of the pixies which is, ironically for an elven saying, believed to prevent aging.

As much as I hate the descriptions given by ubi, you did a pretty good job in emulating them. It would be almost believable that you those descriptions came straight from their website.

My academy line up

Core:
1. Gremlin-Gremlin Saboteur: the small creatures with muskets and also can destroy enemy siege weapons or repair friendly mechanical units.
2. Occulus-Arcane Occulus: a floating spherical mechanical eye-like construct that is melee but every strike it does causes the enemy to suffer detrimental effects to its attacking ability. it can fly.
3. Iron Golem-Steel Golem: Unlike the golems of HOMM5 which looked humanoid, these golems have the upper half of a man and the lower half of scorpions. their arms are also pincers. they are resistance to spell damage and most magical effects.

Elite:
1. Mage-Battlemage: Quite similar to the mages of the HOMM5. Also ranged and casters.
2. Djinn-Djinn Vizier: The Djinn can fly, attack with swords and cast helpful magics on their allies and harmful ones on their enemies three times per battle. can pop in and out of their lamps to avoid battles if they so choose.
3. Rakshasa Rani-Rakshasa Raja: The bipedal lion creatures are back. they are heavy hitting melee units with many arms and cannot be retaliated against.

Champion
1. Colossus-Titan: Huge mechanical humanoid constructs that can stomp their enemies into the dust and also the titans can shoot bolts of lightning from afar.
