Good Old Temple Tourney is Back!
It has taken a while but I am now back on track and the map is ready as well  If you are an old participant I welcome you back and hope your skills are still sharp, if you are new fear not for the purpose of this tournament is friendly rivalry and enjoying the game, win or lose. The Duel Map is specifically designed for quick and easy to set up final battles - you visit the sphinx to level up, recruit your units, buy artifacts, learn spells and you're ready to duke it out in a battle of epic proportions!
Good Old Duel 1.3 Final Version
FEATURES
- Army strength is that of week 6.
- The sphinx gives lvl 19, just say yes.
- Memory mentor to deal with bad level ups. Be careful, it hates your guts!
- One artifact merchant for each faction. Does not contain relics and certain artifacts are banned for balance purposes. Do not spend too much money or you will have to sacrifice army or mentor charges.
- Each side has two magic shrines of each level, plus an arcane library.
- Magic well is in the battlefield area.
- Hero specials have been disabled.
- Each hero starts with advanced level in racial and 2 racial perks.
GAME MODS!
Creature dmg has been revised in cases of extremely wide ranges. For instance 1-4 -> 2-3, 25-75 -> 40-60 and 10-20 -> 13-17.
HAVEN
Crossbow 2-6dmg from 2-8
Marksmen additionally get force arrow ie arcane archer damage reduction. Basically 30% reduction from afar, 100% reduction from up close.
Zealot adv RM.
Battle griffins dive instantly.
Inquisitor gets exp haste due to the nerf of the basic spell.
Seraph 35-65 dmg from 25-75.
INFERNO
Familiar and vermin mana eater nerfed.
Horned overseer +1 speed, +1 min dmg, +2hp. Explosion boosted.
Cerberus +1 min dmg, +2hp.
Succubus mistress +2 min dmg, +3hp.
Seducer -2 hp.
Nightmare +2 min dmg so that it's closer to hell charger.
Pitlord +1 init, +2 speed, advanced meteor from basic. For the record pit spawn still has +5 att, +2 def, +20hp, magic proof AND a better special.. I just made it easier for the lords to join the battle.
Devil upgrades get a minor hp boost.
SYLVAN
Sprites 2-3 dmg like dryads. Wasp swarm at basic mastery(-20% atb).
Wardancers +1 speed, 6 att like wind dancers.
Wind dancers get 1 def per tile from two.
Arcane archer 30% def reduction from 50% force arrow.
Master hunter gets 4-5 dmg from 5-8. But gains no range and no melee penalty. Now does similar dmg with the arcane both when shooting and when retaliating but will do better at low def units while arcane does better against high def units.
Druid elder adv stone spikes from basic.
Savage treant forest rage gives +3 init from 5.
DUNGEON
Assassin poison dmg 1.5/unit from 1.
Mino guards +3 def.
Grim raiders 10% def reduction per tile from 20%.
Brisk raiders +2 max dmg, 50% wheel attack from 25%.
Hydra regeneration increased to 50-80 from 30-50.
ACADEMY
Elemental vulnerability 35% from 50%.
Battlemage +1 dmg, adv fist of wrath.
Djinn sultan +5 hp, same as vizier.
Rakshasa kshatra -5 max dmg.
Rakshasa raja +1 speed, +2 min dmg.
Storm titan 3% ranged reduction, 15 dmg call storm.
Titan call lightning 40 dmg from 30.
NECROPOLIS
Skeleton archer +1 min dmg, +1 att, +4 def.
Vamp lord +1 min/max dmg, +1 init.
Vamp prince 2.5 torpor factor from 3, duration 1.5 turn from 2.
Banshee +50% wail dmg, +1 range.
Ghost dragons adv sorrow from expert.
FORTRESS
Mountain guards +1 max dmg, +1 init, hold position +5 def.
Whitebear fear factor for small units nerfed.
Berserkers +10 hp, +1 min dmg.
Bash factor reduced.
Flamestrike 100% dmg from 120%.
Thunder thane +1 init, same as flamelord.
Lava dragon liquid flame boost.
STRONGHOLD
Witch doctors +1 init, +1 hp.
Centaur nomad +1 min dmg.
Maulers +4 hp, +2 hp on first lvl rage from 5.
Assault boosted to 1.2 from 1.
Sky daughters adv lightning mastery, 16 mana.
Foul wyvern 8 dmg venom from 5, +20 hp, boosted regeneration.
ELEMENTALS
Water elementals adv mastery on circle of winter, back to 100% of damage from 30%.
Fire elementals +2 init.
Earth elementals +5 init.
SKILLS
Luck bonus to +65% from +100%. Also affects warlock's luck 
Morale bonus to +35% from +50%.
Banish 15 dmg per lvl from 10, +10 per summoning mastery.
Retribution 4% per morale from 5%.
Ignite does 20% dmg per turn from 33%.
Consume artifact takes 33% init from 25%.
Imbue arrow takes 10% init before it is used.
Warmachine hp boosted, tent 5 healing shots.
Stormwind gives 20% init penalty and -1 speed from 20%, -2 respectively.
Corrupted soil does 4 dmg from 3.
Spell Changes
Haste/slow affect initiative by 15-20-25% + 0.05 x power from 20-30-40%.
Mass buffs/curses now give 4-6-8 + 0.2 x power instead of 6-9-12.
Icebolt, frost ring, wasp swarm dmg improved.
Wasp hive hp +50hp/mastery level.
Confusion/Deflect missile both give 45-50-55% + 0.1 x power.
Puppet duration 0.2 from 0.25, init modifier 0.025 from 0.03.
Vampirism +1% per power from +2%.
Rune of dragonform now lvl 4.
Rune of resurrection now lvl 5.
Dungeon now has dark instead of summoning!
There are no elemental arties other than bearhide wraps and dwarven smithy hammer. Only inferno has access to elemental boosters because their destructive needed some love.
RACIAL RESTRICTIONS
Racials play a huge role in the game's balance so there are a few limitations in their usage.
Artificer
Lvl 2 mini arties allowed maximum.
Training
No more than 25 paladins which means training 7 priests max. Rest can be trained freely.
Runelore
Fortress's resources reset to 12 wood/ore, 10 crystal/sulfur, 8 for gems/mercury when you enter the one way.
Avenger
Limited set of favoured enemies for each faction.
Necromancy
You are allowed to pick three stacks out of the following: 120 skeletons, 70 zombies, 35 ghosts, 15 vampires, 10 liches, 5 Wights, 3 bone dragons. If you refuse the first 4 stacks it automatically picks the remaining ones.
Basic or advanced necromancy now gives reduced bonus.
RULES
* Factions are chosen randomly. If you get the same faction twice you have the right to request a restart - Same goes for mirror.
* Mana abuses(having above maximum mana) not allowed.
* In case of disconnection repeat battles turn by turn with same positions. You may fight in different ground if opponent agrees.
* End for autosave when game starts and right before the battle.
* Picking native terrain is not allowed.
* We use hamachi version 1.0.1.5, which can be found here.

Oh one more thing, those who join please post their msn. If you do not have one you can communicate through hamachi or hcms but msn is simply a better option.

"I hear there's a Duel Tournament going on", croaked an old weathered veteran at the bar, starring down contemplatively at his glass of moonshine. He turned left and right, grinning as he felt the satisfying cracking of his back. "Bah! If only I was younger, I would be joining that tournament."
"Aye, me as well," chimed in another wayfarer, sipping on a glass of wine with his broadsword resting on his back.
"Think we'd all be fightin' if we could," added a seasoned dwarf, his red beard veritably glowing in the light of the warm tavern fire.
"How convenient," a small - and infamous - voice interrupted in the corner of the room.
The red-bearded dwarf jumped from his chair, his eyes bulging with the terrifying and immediate recognition of the voice. Several bodies turned to face the speaker.
In the shadowy corner of the tavern, scarcely lite from the light of the fire, a diminutive figure sat on an round oaken table, nibbling at a chestnut. The black cowled figure radiated an aura of demonic evil, sending unnatural chills into the hearts of the tavern patrons.
"What's convenient?", a patron dared to ask, breaking the horrifying silence.
"Convenient," the figure repeated, pausing to take a long drought of an unknown, black liquid. "Convenient that you are all so quick to find reasons not to join the tournament. Is no man honest enough to admit that the mere prospect of it fills him with dread?" the figure inquired to his trembling audience.
Silence followed.
"That is what I thought," the figure reflected out loud. He allowed himself a brief, sinister chuckle. "Perhaps you are wiser than I thought. I, on the other hand, will be joining the duel tournament."
Without saying anything more, the cowled figure exited the tavern. The last thing the gasping patrons saw was a fluffy, white tail.

well i guess im in aswell, like Elvin said, H6 is so close that this tourney might be the last chance to truly play it against other people (well maybe duels won't die completely but i doubt many people will stay with H5)
my MSN is in the random duel topic in the last few pages but ill post it again closer to when the duels begin if necessary. i wonder how many people are from american timezones, i probably can only play against them on weekends...

I'm interested, but I'm not sure if I know how to use hamachi, I'm afraid the tutorial might be outdated, I can't complete it.
however, it seems I can join Elvin's server, anything else to do after that?
