I'd like to join the Cup of Misfortune as I may be the very Biggest best loser! But I have a big exam now and I would like to play most of my duels after 25 Mars, if that's ok.

1. Necro vs Dwarfs
Had a very good build with high spell power although didn't use dark at all. Arcane crystal and phoenix did the job. A bit low on mana but no need for more. 4 swords in the shop  Picked Dwarven Hammer. He had haste + rm but surprisingly no stormwind. After mass endurance i just waited for them to come. So they did but without attack couldn't deal proper dmg.
2. Haven vs Necro
Empathy + Retribution + Stormwind + Refined Mana gave no hope for the undead. Timing was on my side as he couldn't grab my pallies before they delivered another heavy blow. Also had cleansing and anti-magic so really a lost cause for Ornella no matter what.

Good use of summoning, that hurt. Found the use of seraphs curious, probably hoped to take advantage of refined mana

Pretty straight forward games from Albo.
Eventhough I was a bit surprised to see Whitebear Riders against Necro... not to mention that using berserker rage on the ghosts seemed like a preeeeetty risky gamble. I realize that it was the only stack in rage but I'd rather save them for the real threats. Focusing on the spectres surprised me a bit I'd focused on other stacks which I think are more threatening. Hmm... it could have gone either way with Ornellas limited mana supply if Lepas had played it a bit differently I think... with him not having dark or not having the mana for it I'd spend more time buffing up and letting him come to me. One can deal with the phoenix quite handyly with Bears. But then again he didn't have stormwind...
In the Necro Haven battle it's the same story Albo playing pretty straight foward. And I personally love it as Necro if I see a stack of 25 pallies and the angels charging me especially if they're seraphs. They're the two powerstacks you need to kill then it's gg. I'd played it differently surrounding the pallies basically dooming them to a miserably death without charge and then picking off then Angles. Especially gratifying since he Albo had to "waste" a turn on cleansing the Angles. Then again Divine Guidancing your Xbowmen... I hate that lol. But surrounding the Pallies would most certainly have bought him enough time to bring the phoenix to bare+shield him from damage from the Xbowmen with good skelly placement and let his powerstacks survive A LOT longer.

The Necro vs Fortress replay also end before the battle ends but I guess Fortress player surrendered so?

did my battles againts Nocturnal: Necro 0-2 Nocturnal
Haven (me) vs Academy (Noc)
i came with dark magic & used some mass spells like slow. my Griffins did a lot of battle dives but eventually i couldn't finish his strong creatures on time + good strategy blocking my knights.
Sylvan (me) vs Inferno
i really find it difficult beating inferno because of their mass gating + their creatures have a lot of functions from stealing/syphoning mana and raising dead as pitlords to Leap and seduce.
my elves just didnt have enough speed and initiative to blow the inferno forces right on the begining before starting with the mass gating.

Arcax - Deathy 1-2
another semi-final contender has been found as me and Arcax were finally able to play our games.
game 1
Arcax Dungeon vs Deathy Fortress

Unique battle in the way that both of us went for dark magic. but what was going in my favour was the heavy defense i had which Arcaxes dungeon units simply weren't able to destroy. not to mention that mass curse and suffering + one well placed berserk and stolen vampirisms helped my way to victory.
This game gets cut off before all units die, as Arcax gave up so that we could move onto game two.

Arcax Necropolis vs Deathy Inferno

In this game Arcax was playing summon heavy Necropolis against my might and dark magic heavy Inferno. my mass slow at the beginning really helped me to destroy necropolis units fast, but his well placed summon spells and destruction of my small units early on, not to mention the annoying spectres really helped him pull the win. very close match nevertheless

This time it was might vs might, with Arcax going morale and might heavy Inferno against my enlightment Stronghold with luck. I started off pretty weak, despite the fact that i destroyed his succubus stacks to prevent anykind of seduce, i allowed him to kill my paokais for free pretty much, and soon after chieftains, not to mention Arcax was getting morale like crazy. but after i finally was able to pull rallying cry and get morale myself aswell, tide changed as my earth daughters,centaurs and warmongers all got lvl 2 rage and started destroying gated stacks left and right, eventually also getting the real units and thus, earning my second win.
was fun to play and thanks to Arcax for games once again.

Did 2 very close games with Elvin and came out 2-0 in my favor.
1st game was my Inferno vs his Stronghold.
A comfortable match-up for me, but I didn't have any mass dark combo's or puppet, which worried me. Fortunately I had enlightenment and swarm gating paid off very nicely.

2nd game was my Inferno vs his Sylvan.
He had light + dark Sylvan, which scarred the **** out of me when I saw vampirism cast. Once again I had enlightenment this game and after a grueling fight I won. Thank goodness he sucked up money on the mentor and didn't have a huge stack of treants to smack through.

Pretty much. In the first one 18 attack, 4 luck and seriously lucky gating gave bliz a rather comfortable victory. Second was a bit hit or miss, was hard to tell how light/dark would turn out. Started as light but when offered dark it was hard to resist the temptation even at the cost of enlightenment. Game could have gone either way but maybe dark/enlightenment and high druids could have given me a clearer advantage with a potent vampirism of long duration - not to mention imbue/rain of arrows.
