Attention people of misfortune!

I'm ready to have my games, so just hit hamachi if you want to play.

Nice games between Elvin and Blizzboy by the way.

@Neco mutant
Not offensive enough haven not defensive enough sylvan. No def vs inferno = loss.

Arcax you noob! Dark vs fortress? Respect for the necro game, somehow I thought it would be easier. Maybe you could have better blocked the way to the liches, either way masterfully played under all that pressure. Last game.. I have yet to see an inferno taking down orcs with arcane crystal Guess bad luck, orcs played decently as well.

In the first one 18 attack, 4 luck and seriously lucky gating gave bliz a rather comfortable victory.

Dude that game was anything BUT comfortable. While he may have had 18 attack he also had 2 defense against your sick stats (17/11/6/7 is sick for an orc even with enlightenment). 17 Attack vs. 2 defense really isn't funny at all. Then losing all his succubi and 5 spawns before to battle even started and his summoned pit lords spawning at the worst place (blocking his nightmares from moving AND enabling your stacks  to reach without wasting a turn on pure movement if the wish) and that all happend before had moved a single stack, while you sat on the other end at full strength that is NOT easy to come back from. Sure Fortuna winked at him with 2 stacks of hefty reinforcements but the nightmares were gone instantly and didn't do much so that leaves the Spawns. And he wasn't the only one that was lucky you didn't have any shatter. Imagine if he'd had puppet on your cyclopi or chieftans. Then it'd been a comfortable victory. No man mad respect for coming back from that one just like the sylvan game... which in all fairness you only won because Elvin was being fancy with Refined Mana and Druid Elders. High druids alone would have won him the game and I mean come on.. 3 sp how can you not chose high druids? But still you played that one very well too. For a purple pansy you're not as horrible as I thought you'd be.

Comfortable because even with all the setbacks he still owned me. Imagine without them.

Refined mana? Not even.

Really? Since when can Druids cast 3 Lightning bolts?

And no it was not comfortable and he didn't own you. The game ended with what? 72 Overseers (out of which ~40 were ressurected through vampirism) that's not comfortable and most certainly not "owning" someone. That's very well played.

I still don't understand how I won the 2nd one. I was sitting there grumbling to myself about Elvin allowing dark Sylvan in the tourney and almost hit the autocombat button when I saw vampirism on the dragons so I could go make some bacon and eggs. I think it just boiled down to him having to burn money on the mentor and not having a big stack of treants. Vampirism sylvan on Inferno is a nightmare scenario.

Had my games with Ramses, they ended 1-1.

First game was very even, I was Summon Sylvan and Ramses was Light Fortress. A made (huge) mistake early on which made me lose my high druids and with them my source of power. Luckily I had already conjured a Phoenix and some elementals.
Game 1

Second game was just a slaughter, nothing to say. Lets just say I have some difficulties with that specific match-up. ()
I was Inferno and Ramses was Stronghold.

i have to agree with Azagal about your first game Elvin, i don't think it was easy win for Blizz like you seem to make it be. Was much closer than that in the end, even if Blizz won.

and yeah, in the second game, only reason why Elvin lost was because he didn't have full stack of treants. had he had them, he would have won without any trouble at all.

What i can't understand about our third game between me and Arcax is that why didn't he go dark magic? i did have expert shatter dark but despite that i think couple of well placed berserks could have changed the tide of battle very much.

(yeah Jaba ..that headline was cool so i decided to copy/paste it )

Ramses vs Nocturnal 2-0

After a ****load of technical difficulties () we finally got to play our matches.

First game Stronghold(Ramses) vs Haven(Nocturnal) was pretty one-sided mainly because Nocturnal was kind of unlucky with his build and ultimately got himself in a difficult position with resources etc.
Game/connection or w/e crashed so we've got no replay of this one.

Second game Academy(Nocturnal) vs Fortress(Ramses) was going to be a good solid match but that magic resistance combo did his trick and allowed me to win this one too.

P.S
Since i didn't have the chance to post before thanks both of you Noct and Jaba for the great games and good luck to all of us for the ones to come.

Elvin, I'll sign out of cup of misfortune. It seems I really suck at my favourite game when it is multiplayer which is a disappointment really as I though I was marvelous while playing against AI all these years.I simply introduced myself to online battles very very late. So I decide not to lose more battles It's not even fun anymore.

Maybe things will be different in Heroes 6

That's not cool nocturnal. When you sign for something you accept a certain responsibility and know that if you leave you are messing things for everyone. First me, for organizing it. Secondly for everyone else, especially ramses whose time will be wasted if you leave.

So yes I'll have a trouble with you leaving so abruptly on a whim. Stay, try out your opponents, ask for advice. Leaving is but the easy way out not to mention a slap in my face even if it is not intended as such.

===== Cup of Misfortune =====

Jabanoss VS Nocturnal
First Game, I was Academy and Noct was Necro. It started pretty funny with me give Noct a free Phoenix, due to the fact that he had Elemental Balance. However I had Dark as well as Summon so I quickly snatched his little pet, allowing me to double the fun.
The game ended with Noct resigning he just had a big stack of zombies left, and I had more then half my army remaining.

Second Game, I was Stronghold and Noct was Dungeon. Nocturnal had destro with ice, but I was prepared with Shatter. The game went pretty smoothly for my part(except when my Goblins blocked my Cyclop ), And I'm sure Noct will hate me as Stronghold even more now. .

The games ended:
Jabanoss 2 - 0 Nocturnal

Edit: Yeah Noct don't leave. I mean you have already won games, and I know you are a good player.

And it's still funny to play, isn't it?

Don't be a dick Nocturnal. With that attitude you'll never get better. I sucked at the game worse than you did when I started (of course I didn't I'm just lying to make you feel better about your cowardice I was created to rock at H5 online and deflowering shy little bigballed squirrels while doing so) and now I'm going to win this whole thing.

So don't be a dick like Elvin said tournaments aren't something to be taken lightly and once you sign up it's definitive since you cause a lot of work for other people. You can't just ruin it by leaving like that because it's not "fun" anymore. Talk to people, practice and you'll get better. If it's not fun for you to lose play casual games with other people perhaps the "offical" games just cause you stress.

Sorry Just have seen people opting out during the 1st Phase so easily, so I thought that it is not a big problem. OK then, I will finish it, no problem. It is just that I really love the game, and seing how I lose makes me really angry You can even see during some battles, when I realise I'm gonna lose I turn against my creatures to make the battle end more quickly.

Anyway, sorry for that then. I will play my games with pleasure.

Well then if you're angry do something about it. Use it. Train more. There should be plenty of people available. If not from the forums since a large portion seem to be in a Dragon Age 2 induced coma go to ubi.com and play duels there it's not optimal but it's practice against a human.

I am sorry if I sounded harsh but leavers are what made me stop the tournaments in the first place. If you had any idea how much time and energy I have put into making it happen including organizing, mapmaking and overviewing the whole process maybe you'd understand me better. Also I doubt you would rather be considered a quitter. It is not easy if other players have a headstart but you can only improve. Emotions come and go, skill remains

Dark and destructive are risky vs dwarves because they can easily get dwarven luck. Light and summoning don't look as appealing at first glance but they are a safer choice.
