I have been off for Easter this past week, and haven't been around (other than my usual VW spam), and Albo was back in Poland for a little while with some sort of family emergency.

I think it's very hopeful that we'll finally get around to playing the final this week, assuming I still remember how to play H5.

We got done with 3 of our games, so we should be able to easily wrap up on Saturday/Sunday. Also, we're getting along just as well as always.

Concluded the games with Albo. 3-1 in my favor. I won't post recaps so you can just watch the replays:

First game was my Inferno vs his Stronghold

Second game was my Stronghold vs his Sylvan

Third game was my Academy vs his Inferno

Fourth game was my Haven vs his Dungeon

Thanks for all the fun games in the tourney. It seems I got my weiner back just before the closure of H5 (inside joke for old-timers). I'm looking forward to more exciting matches in H6.

albo vs blizz 1-3

Congrats and thanks for games. Games are lame and very weak. Replays are not worth watching even.

1. Orcs vs Inferno  1-0

Blizz went for destruction without dark so it was impossible to win for the demons. Easy win for me.

2. Sylvan vs Orcs 1-1

Went for retribution but to obtain it i lost 30k so i had no treants and bought only one artifact. With treants i would win it easily. Blizz with high morale and luck. I made couple mistakes and one missclick with the dancer which cost me 18 archers. Some nasty bad luck on my side.

3. Inferno vs Academy  1-2

It was already 4 am my time so i just played like a noob. Bad tactics mode, after luck and morale from his mages i gave up. Didn't care about this game any more, wanted to sleep. Couple morale on his khatras and almost nothing for me.

4. Dungeon vs Haven  1-3

This one we played today. Another great matchup for me Destruction is pointless here. Didn't receive dark so summoning and might build was all i had. Blizz with another "idiot" with max morale and lots of luck that worked perfectly.

Thanks for the whole tournament and sorry it took so long.
Unfortunately i didn't save one game and one is broken so i only have two replays.

well some comments about the finale games from me:

first game: destruction inferno is in my opinion not very good choice against any faction, much less orcs who get protection from blood rage.
and sorry for saying this so bluntly but this game was simply dumb, blizz had no chance at any point and it makes me think that what he was thinking when he went this build.

second game: this game sums up why i try to avoid going retribution with sylvan when playing in elvin's duel map. ive never been able to get it without wasting alot of money at mentor. and generally elven luck is able to act as substitute. although even without the treants, i think albo could have won this had he not made those few mistakes, since at one point bliz had almost no damaging units at all. but have to admit, those orcs got alot of luck too.

third game: not much to say, cats and mages were winners. although was funny to see academy hero get drained empty.

fourth game: it was pretty much might without morale and luck going against might with morale and luck. and we all know how that will end. although albo had summoning too, bliz and his haven units ran over dungeon too fast to be able to take proper advantage of it. also lining the furies and raiders for a champion charge made me wonder what was the big idea.

well of course the wizard didn't have problems, but he was drained out of mana at the end of the game. and that was what my comment was aimed at

and didn't he want to go to bed in the third game? haven vs dungeon was the fourth

Finally it's over .... Congrats Blizzard, better luck next time Albo !

Sylvan vs. Orc game was probably the turning point, I was amazed how the crippled orcs made a come back ! Academy vs. Inferno was most fun to watch, and Dungeon vs. Haven , like Inferno vs. Orc, were strategical mishaps.

Inferno with destro is hard to be good against orcs, and dungeon contrary to Albo's belief, has its the best chances with destructive vs. Haven, with swift mind to cripple the opponent from the start... Dark is situational, only if there are no counters like Immunity or Cleansing it might work, and Summoning is a losing bet, and you chose the latter.

Second game hurt, poor sylvan And I am surprised at the first and fourth games, you guys should know better than that. Sure at some time I risked a destructive inferno vs orcs myself but I had warlock's luck and it wasn't even in a tournament Even so chance of failure is overwhelmingly high. And summoning vs haven, it just isn't cut out for this. A simple mass haste/RM and the occasional dv can thrash you badly long before your (non-lucky)phoenix makes an impact. Was unlikely to ever work, haven can always get defense/stormwind and even if not there are plenty of killer stacks moving and killing at a fast pace.

Either way congratulations bliz, at long last your destiny is fulfilled. The wiener is now yours

i guess me and pera share the third place? (since i doubt any bronze match will be done)

and thanks to everyone who played this tourney, was fun.

and big shame to the first round players who didn't play or barely played.(i know real life can get tricky sometimes but then people should atleast have courtesy to tell about it)
