I installed the 3.1j version but artifacts guard, taxes and eight skills is not avaiable in hot seat. Is this intentional or I did something wrong?

And a lot of options in random map generator disappear. I know it's to be expected but the readme said run the rmg of the official version should do the trick, but the official version's rmg is just the same when I run the mod, a lot of missing options

I have the collectors edition btw

For the hot seat, I'm not sure if that is intentional or not. As for random maps, try generating with map editor, it should have more options, i think.

Click single player, custom map, select the tax, artifacts and 8 skills from there then go back to multiplayer and they should be checked there as well. This worked for me.

I hope this mod worth all the trouble, because the rmg in map editor takes so long that it's scary.

On this screen I capture the ore mine and waits... 3 weeks.

The army of the AI is 4x stronger than mine.

But the AI has never attacked my hero.

Game settings : Difficulty : hard, lookahead depth : maximum, AI : "aggressive".

Sorry, but it's no more fun to play with "the enhanced AI" than "the stupid and cheater AI".

I played H5 with this mod since it's first release, and I never encountered such issue. However, this is not the final version of this mod so bugs such as that one are possible. Try to reload game, maybe AI  will change it's behaviour. Good news is that there will be new version of this mod, and many bugs will be fixed

@Frosty If I load the game with the original exe, the AI attack my hero and I lose the battle.... (the victory is impossible).

It's a pity because H5 is really a great game, but the problem, the big problem is the AI.

Usually my favourite faction is Inferno, but as the AI ignores the gated creatures, the game is too easy (we can block a stack of 40 lich with a single imp).

I'll wait a new version in hoping that the wizard makes miracles.

I had a problem a couple times with the AI not attacking because of a path-finding issue in the new AI, is that what is happening with your game?

I've seen it happen when there was a monster right next to a garrison or when there was a hero right outside my town. The AI would never attack it because the path-finding couldn't find a direct route to the town.

When we reloaded without the mod the path-finding worked normal.

I've never been able to recreate these bugs so I could send in a save file, but my wife and I have seen them.

@Fulano I don't think it's a problem with the pathfinding, as you can see on the screen (previous post), my hero is near the castle.

Moreover, I've already tested "the enhanced AI" on 3/4 maps, but the AI has never attacked my main hero / castle.

It seems to be a problem with the settings "cowardice & aggressivity".

I didn't feel any boost on AI's moving quickness It moves nearly as slow as without this mod.

Where is this "Rush Discount Slider" located

I got the 3.1.15 beta version of the AI mod, and for the life of me, I cant locate this rush unit discount slider thing the AI is supposed to have in campaigns.

Also, why are all the menus so large? They almost cover the apply button.

Don't remember that Beta but I've used 3.1.J and the Video rez must be at a 4/3 setting.

As far as the aggressiveness of the A.I. it's an old "known" issue. What I found is the result can be random, so another load or two usually produced better results for me. Inside the game there are five settings and one is victim; I think it occurs now and then for some reason.

But as I said that's old news and Q is still working on it. Working nearly alone this became a monster of a task.

3.1.15 isn't the latest version actually, it's older.

3.1.j is the latest one.

I made some elaborate bug reports for 3.1.15 and turns out they had already addressed the issues I mentioned in 3.1.j.

I was very disappointed today because i found out that mod is unplayable with water map. AI heroes just get stucked in the sea. As it was mentioned before there are routing bugs because after I launched original AI everything went OK.
Now i understand why it was easy to beat AI player situated on the opposite coast in one of my previous games. It was exactly caused by this.

This should not be true in "J". I've created a few water-maps and they work just fine. So fine, that on some maps I banned Vessel of Shalassa <VoS> (summon boat) because I was tired of always buying extra Heroes to maintain control of my purchased boats.

What can be a problem is the time that must pass for the 2nd level mage-guild to be built to learn VoS before Heroes sail. The A.I. will buy/take a ship, get out and cannot summon a boat afterwards, if his boat is taken. I've worked around this by making sure A.I. Towns have the spell available from the start. So, you should give that a go on a map you enjoy. Play "J" and make that change to all towns. Small change = big fun.

Or if you'd don't want the other lower-level magic to start; add a spell-shrine out-side "one town", set the spell inside the shrine to VoS and copy paste that shrine to outside the other towns and Save.
