If Quantomas has time he may have a 2nd go at making it compatible but he has alot on his shoulders, so much right now that he barely has time to work on the next major upgrade which includes a complete combat AI overhaul and strategic end stage which is a rework of the adventure map AI to include more versatile AI decision making in the middlegame and final game phases.

Please visit Eternal Essence forum

and Eternal Essence website

for more detailed information from Quantomas.

At the moment, he is in the process of overhauling the AI relating to combat which also includes AI choosing better hero skills/perks and casting better spells and better overall strategies relating to combat:

Bumping to page 1 for more visibility, it's one of the best mods so it shouldn't go lost.

You're right, maybe it should even be stickied but not sure if it's a problem as most of the developing info now resides on another forum/website (ie. those links I gave above, which should actually be on first page too)...well it's up to the moderators

Greetings HC

For those that are not aware, after lots of testing etc. with his "J" A.I.; "Quantomas The Wizard is in the lab".

After the important groundwork of the past months; this will be an even larger step towards his visionary A.I.

The million dollar question here is if the AI will be able to be run in MP mode. If not so, the project lose a little gas I guess.

Don't know if this has been requested before, but do you think anyone is capable of modifying the Skillwheel to accommodate the increased amount of skills provided by this mod(with "this mod" I mean the Eternal Essence mod, i.e. what we are discussing in this thread, the skillwheel is NOT a mod), 8 instead of 6?

It doesn't look like it would be all that hard, right? I could be wrong though as I have little to no programming experience.

Anyhow, it would make planning out skill builds with this mod(EE) a lot easier .

Edit: clarifications

Maybe make a hard-copy? The wheel-pages are inside the "Fan's-Manual".

It is not an issue about difficulty,; since he's working alone on a massive coding project; it's about his time & priorities.

Well, I think it would be more a matter of finding the guy who actually made the skillwheel and ask him to update it...

It seems to still have a few bugs in it that need fixed anyway.

That's an idea, although there may be a conflict, since not being a programmer, I don't understand why some Mods will not work.

Well, if the original skill wheel mod works I'm pretty sure an updated version would work as well. Most mods working in 3.1 should work with  the AI patch anyway; some mods like NCF don't work because they need their own executable.
I'd take a look at this myself but I can't seem to find it since the old links appaer to be dead. Once we know if it  works we should do as fulano said and contact the person who made it. Unless someone else is willing to make a try. I don't think this is one of the EE team's highest priorities to work on at this stage.

I seem to remember getting it but never using it. I don't think it is installation format but I'm pretty sure it is in a save-folder. Shall I send what I have to you @E.E. or to your E-mail for a trial?

Hold up, I think you misunderstood - it's not actually a mod, it's just a portable executable program if you download it.(you can also use it in your browser, I actually linked to it in my previous post, just click on the word "Skillwheel"). You can tab out of the game to it to check what skill you are going to want to get next etc.

I edited my last post to clarify my point.

I wasn't specifically referring to Quantomas to "update" the skillwheel, that's why I said *anyone*

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Just so you know, there was also a mod that put the skill wheel ingame, so
that you didn't have to tab out.

The external skill wheel app should be pretty easy to modify to allow for 8 skills, probably just need to change
some numbers here and there in the code. But it is likely that the only person who has the source code is the person who
originally made the skill wheel, so unless someone is wiling to make a new one from scratch (or is able to
edit the exe), we'll still have to contact him.

Right, I see, well I do believe there was an emailadress listed somewhere. Hopefully it's still active.

I'll try sending him/her an email and report back here

Edit: Email sent, awaiting response.

Edit2: Success! Aurelain(the original creator) was so kind to modify the skillwheel for us!

I uploaded it to mediafire, here's the link:

Is Eternal Essence presently compatible with Falconian's graphics overhaul?

If so, how would I go about getting the two to work together? They don't seem to do so automatically.

Thanks in advance. Any help is much appreciated.
