Vorg froze as he suddenly heard voices. He turned, and went over to them. He saw two men studying a plant. Vorg scowled and growled, "Whoever you are, leave! Or you will have to suffer the consequences!"

The guards around the scientist prepared to fight, but the scientist just held up his hand. "We have what we came for, no need for bloodshed this early. Let's get out of here." The guards reluctantly lower their weapons and the group of them get everything and prepare to leave.

On the island
Alan looked at number two for a second, waiting for the others to be fully asleep before standing from his half-crouch. "Well, first watch seems to be a bit boring, and nothing seems to be coming. Besides, with high and mighty number ten here to stand guard, little old me won't be missed." He gave the skin changer a wink. "Goodbye."
Alan was gone in a heartbeat. To the lab in the next. Whew, used up more than half of my energy running from my shelter to those fools and then to here... Good warm-up, if it was daytime. He walked through the doors themselves. I know that you are still here, number twenty. You can come out, it's number six! I know that you are still here, number twenty. You can come out, it's number six! VI moved over to the freezers, which were huge, industrial-sized freezers meant for storing food for a small army for a few years. And stop reading my mind, or you won't get ice cream for dessert.
Behind VI a little girl, probably not older than 8 or 9 years, came "falling" down in the same speed as a feather. At the same time, a big black hairy bear came out through a nearby room. The Bear walked slowly towards VI.
"Moah, that is just mean big brother Six!" the girl sulked "You know that talking is such a waste of time and that we could communicate so much quicker if we just used telepathy! Yet you still want to force me to use talking!" The girl stamped with her feet and parts of the roof nearby fell down near the opening.
"...Whoops!" she mumbled "Better fix that." she closed her eyes and the rubble at the door floated upwards and disappeared into the darkness. "There! The door is fix big brother Six!" The girl grinned at VI.
((assuming VI has not moved )
The Bear had now reached VI and it started sniffing with its nose on him. After inspecting him from top to bottom it poked him with one claw looking for a reaction.

Alan was on the bear's back, precariously balanced on the middle of the hunch. "Yes, well, I can't communicate telepathically, and it's sort of scary to hear you speaking without any actual sound."
He was off of the bear and had two bowls of ice cream in them in the next second. "Here you go, little sister twenty. You know, you could call me by my name, right? You do know it."

As Alan balanced on top of the bear, the girl started giggling.
"I GOT SOMETHING HEAVY ON MY BACK! I GOT SOMETHING HEAVY ON MY BACK! OHH THE PAIN!" the bear's thoughts grumbled.
"Calm down, teddy! It is just Big Brother Six, he is capable of doing that. And you can relax, he is not dangerous to me anyhow." the girl smiled at the bear, which nodded as it felt VI getting off his back "Ahh! Much better!" the bear gave out a growl of satisfaction.
"Yes, well, I can't communicate telepathically, and it's sort of scary to hear you speaking without any actual sound."
Catherine giggled again.
"Here you go, little sister twenty. You know, you could call me by my name, right? You do know it."
"Thanks Big Brother Si-...Alan?" Catherine leaned her head towards her left side for a bit, then she started eating the ice cream.
"So what brings you back here to the fortress?" She asked after taking five mouth-fulls of ice cream "Most of the others can't stand being here..I don't really understand why. Personally I find it nice to stay here. A comfortable bed, roof and the occasional electric stuffs and gadgets that helps ease the state." She took another mouth-full "And the fact that I am safe when I stay in the innermost parts of the fortress, after all, the gap in the middle stops most of the others. And everyone else has a problem with the random rocks that drops."

"And those kinds of traps and obstacles don't really matter to people like you and me, since you can fly and I can run right over them." His white eyes glowed slightly with mischief. "Oh the things we could see. There was... Another reason, though. I came back to make sure that you were safe, little sister... Catherine, didn't the file say that you name was Catherine? Well, such a grow up name for such a young girl, could I call you Cat?"

"Sure you can call me Cat." Cat grinned "The file did state that my name was Catherine, yes. But this is the first time I have heard it being called a 'grown-up name'. Why is that? Do grown ups change their names when they pass from children to adults?" Cat wondered for a bit before realizing that Alan had said something else "Why wouldn't I be safe Alan? Being here in the fortress with Teddy to protect me and all." Cat pointed at the bear which stood up to beat its chest proudly while letting out a fierce howl.
"No one hurts the little mistress while I am here! NO ONE!"
the girl nodded "I know Teddy...I wonder when Cerberus and the others will be back thou..." Cat turned to Alan "You wouldn't by any chance have seen Cerberus and his family would you? They left the fortress this morning looking for food and have not come back since. He might act like he is all claws and fangs, but he is really just a big puppy, Cerberus I mean."

Eva barely slept. It was now her turn to stand guard. She was in her wolf form, looking around and carefully sniffing the air. She picked up a scent unfamiliar to her, and heard voices not so far away from the camp. It seemed that they belonged to the hunters who came to the island. They were searching for their mate whom was killed by Eva.
She leaned forward, ready to pounce on them at any time.

Cat looked confused "Stop any of you? Why? Why should they need to stop any of you? There is no need to stop any of you as none of you are dangerous to me! You're my family after all!" She shouted angry and some of the rocks around her went flying into the walls. The impact and sound of the crashes made Cat realize that she was angry, so she took a few deep breaths before asking "No I don't think they are any threat to you or would be able to stop you. But I must ask again, WHY should it need to?"

Alan brought the images of the dead experiments to the front of his mind. A hollow husk with some skin draped over it, a headless body, a man without most of his ribs. All alone, with no explanation how or why they died. All of them laying in a pool of their own blood. This was all caused by one of us. Cat, you aren't safe in here. Not anymore.

Vorg notices that they indeed are packing up to leave. As they clear out of the area, you notice that one of them dropped one of the plants, but nobody seemed to notice.

Cat's eyes widened in shock and her mouth opened as if she wanted to say something, but not a sound came out, yet it was not quiet for either Alan or Teddy "HOW?! Why?! Is that III? Why would anyone of us do that? There must have been a good reason! Yes, that's it, the killer and III had an argument and then III did not want to give the killer ice cream! No reason for me to fear for my life, right? RIGHT?!" Cat looked up at Alan with a 'Please Tell Me What To Do!' expression on her face.

Vorg picked up the plant and studied it closely. He remebered the man saying, "It is going to make people stronger, faster, and with powers beyond others imagining." He was about to eat it when he thought of something.'They might want me to eat because it's poisoned. I need a tester.' Then, he began his long journey home.
