Homunculi (OoC)

Alright, time to try again!

Project Rebirth was started March 1, 1953. It ended January 16th, 2003. The objective was to make the "Chosen" immortal, or as close to immortal as possible.

The founders of this project decided that they should test it first... On the long dead nobles and royalty of the greatest countries of the time. They brought in the first of the genetic samples in 1965, under the noses of every government in existence. Using these, they not only made cloned copies of the royalty, but were also able to make super-soldiers. They picked and chose which traits to splice into their immortal army of half-humans (The actual definition of Homunculus is false-human or created-human). the project lost funding when the subjects escaped almost completely as a whole and murdered the founders and a majority of the scientists.

The only constant trait between all of the engineered humans it their incredible regeneration rate (Fast enough to tear a bullet out of their heart and not die from blood loss ) and their ability to absorb genetic information from any human they kill, because this is what the creatures live off of. Human DNA makes them temporarily faster, stronger and smarter, while also curing their un-natural need to feed. They are all also rather youthful and good looking. Other than these traits, all of the Homunculi are different, in powers an appearance. They are a threat to national security everywhere, especially since no one is left that knows how to kill or stop them... Or, so far as anybody knows...

For the most part, Homunculi are little different from normal humans, but they always prey upon some of their former species after a certain amount of time. Depending on their power level, the Homunculus will have shorter or longer periods between their uncontrollable hungers, usually the stronger they are, the shorter this time of sanity.

Homunculi can have many different powers, but these powers, for the most part, only effect the Homunculus personally (for instance, hardening the carbon in the human body to make a very durable, if brittle, shield). POWERS ABSOLUTELY EXCLUDED: Time travel (Really, anything dealing with time), Invulnerability (Something that normal humans use has to be able to effect you), Environment molding, Instant kill abilities, Genetic scramblers (They can mutate other creatures then themselves) Reality bending and Power immunity (being immune to the other Homunculis' unique powers). Your Homunculi's name should have something to do with their personalities (For instance, Pride would think of everything as below his-her self, and Lust would be an absolute... you get the picture), though he-she does not have to be bound by this rule.

Oh, by the by, this RP is a struggle for dominance of the human race. Alliances are made because of convenience, and they are usually only temporary. Remember that your ally could have their own agenda... And you aren't likely to be in it.

So...the point here is that Fullmetal Alchemist has come to the real world and we take control over the seven deadly sins? Or am I just high on snow and not reading this right?

Anyway, seriously: We take control over these Homunculus people and try to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!?

Lolz I get the idea from there, I guess *Blatant copyright infringement*

The main differences are, there are hundreds of these things running around, many of them don't have any kind of special power other then a random homicidal rage once in a while and immortality.

Anyway, seriously: We take control over these Homunculus people and try to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!?

Yes By the way you have that phrase emphasized, I'm guessing that you have seen the Animaniacs... Or, more to the point, The Pinky and The Brain. Also, fixed the link for you.

Quote:
This sounds interesting. But would you be so kind as to provide an example of a char? As a reference for us.
Also, what kind of role would you play?

Alright, going to create two char's that are going to be the main antagonists.

Greed
Alias: Mr. G, Demon, King.
Advanced abilities (Beyond his regeneration and stunningly good looks): Incredibly charismatic (Releases a pheromone that makes humans more apt to obey him), fast and has the ability to harden the carbon in arms and legs to make an almost impenetrable barrier. While hardened, his limbs become serrated and his hands become claws capable of tearing through metal.
Personality: "I already rule this world, Worm. What gives you the right to rebel against me?" A megalomaniac who believes that the world is already his. Greed is a manipulator.
Based off of: Alexander the Great and Charlemagne.
Rage frequency: One every five days or so. (Very common)
Back story (This would be short for the Homunculi): The first fully functional and successful of project Rebirth, Greed was given almost everything he wanted. Eventually, he got bored with everything the doctors were doing and decided to unleash the Homunculi. He manipulated both sides until he gained his own freedom. What will he do now? Take over his rightful place, naturally. If anyone tries to get in his way, that will be their problem. And funeral.

My other (main) character:

Dr. Markus Vorlin
Alias: The Good Doctor.
Advanced abilities: The doctor is a mechanical genius. He also has the ability to pick out the weaknesses of other Homunculi as well as blend in to the shadows and mask his scent to match his surroundings.
Personality: Ever since his experiments have escaped, the doctor has been obsessed with hunting them down and destroying them before they cause irreparable harm to the human race. Only death will stop him from eradicating his brethren.
Based off of: Himself. (He was still alive when he became a Homunculus)
Rage frequency: One every year, though he confines himself from other humans in the wood during this time so that he doesn't kill any innocents.
Back story: The Doctor was the head of project Rebirth. as such, he was the first and only scientist to become a Homunculus and gain immortality himself. Markus was ignored when the homunculi escaped because they thought he was one of them. He has a special hatred for Greed, because the man not only caused the rebellion, but also killed the Doctor's closest friends and taunted him to the brink of insanity. Markus realizes what kind of plague has been unleashed and has vowed that he will not rest until the last of the Homunculi is dead, even if he must destroy himself.

I would be a player, and I would probably just do things like control certain NPCs and free countries/ rebellions and remind people, "Hey, you aren't invincible". Other then that, this world is yours to control.

Ok, I'm joining. Tell me if this char works for this.

Fraud
Alias: Mr. Julian Avice, Lord Byrnes
Advanced Abilities: Eloquence ("He can talk you into selling your mother and giving him the money." Fraud can talk people into doing absolutely anything. His speeches can inspire the masses to new hights. However, it may take a while due to him relying on words and words alone(unlike Greed)), Escapism ("Always have your tunnels dug and ready." Despite his regenerative ability, Fraud would rather escape in a cloud of smoke. And he usually does.), Organisational skills ("Why do things yourself, if you have people to do it for you." Fraud usualy has a number of henchmen waiting on his every whim. As such, he does almost nothing himself.)
Personality: Fraud is the kind of politician you know you should not vote for, but you still do. His empty promises and bluffs coupled with his pompous personality makes people hang on his every word and believe them as truth. Fraud also never gives up. When he sets his mind on something he will not stop untill he has achieved it, no matter how often he fails at it. He is prone to tantrums whenever something does not go according to plan. Fraud does not care for the opinions of others, which causes him to overlook the flaws in his plans. A believer in the teachings of Machiavelli.
Based Off: Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, the Evil Genius(Video Game), perhaps also LeChuck.
Rage Frequency: Whenever he throws a tantrum. (As such, his own henchmen are usually his first victims)
Back Story: It's not clear who was the progenitor of Fraud, which is strange because a pompous blowhard like him is not easily overlooked. Fraud was originally deemed a failure, due to him never carrying out his orders himself. Eventually they made use of Fraud's nature and he was put in charge of convincing the more unwilling projects to carry out their orders.
After the rebellion, Fraud worked his way into politics and just about everywhere else he could weasel his way into. He built up a vast network of contacts and favours owed him. It's not clear what goal he as set himself now, but it's certain that he will bribe, play and overbluff himself there eventually.
Weaknesses: Cowardice, reliance on others(As he does nothing himself, the chances of his ventures failing, due to the 'incompotence' of his men, are high), stubborness.
Appearance: Like this.

@War-overlord (and Warlord, I guess), you could actually give him a little stronger ability if you wanted.

@BETA, Alrigh, take Sloth. Try not to infringe upon copywrights to much, though...

Why would I want to? Fraud can get just about anyone(maybe not other players, but hey) to do anything for him. When things go belly up he escapes and tries again. Coupled to his immortality, he's someone who can outlast anyone. Resources can dry up, but there's always another person to do things for you. Besides, I want to play someone who isn't violent by nature for a change. (And he has henchmen if it comes to fistycuffs, a perfect cover/distraction for an escape)

I suppose that Fraud does a lot of things from his "Corporate HQ", as soon as I think of a suitable place where that is, I'll tell y'all.

Time to add another manipulator. Tell me what I need to tweak, because I think the third ability of this one may be just pushing it. Back story is also a bit weird, but I'm not too sure which way to go, really.

Deceit

Alias: Irina Cassiel

Advanced abilities (Beyond her regeneration and stunningly good looks): Shapeshifting, Inhuman speed and dexterity and Influence (the ability to modify the way things are perceived, either mentally or physically, so she's capable of temporarily changing your disposition to something or tricking you into seeing something that isn't there.)

Personality: Fickle, arrogant through constant adoration by anyone she meets, vain, as she adopts a flawless form as her default form.

Based on: Mystique from the x-men and Biara.

Rage frequency: Once a week

Back story: Irina's original body is a big vague question mark as is any relations or her true form, for that matter. Since she's a shapeshifter and is inferior to most other homonculi in terms of combat, she fled towards civilised, Western Europe. On her way to France she had met nothing that blocked her path. All men and women she encountered were perfectly willing to give her a ride to the next town over, provide her a place to sleep, food, their own airplane tickets, you name it. It took her a while for her to notice that these people were sometimes troubling themselves greatly for her and more often than not had no reason to help her.

She had stated to take notice of her great ability and uses it now to elevate herself as an idol to many people. The people who idolise her, have been branded as members of a cult, yet it still happens that the staunchest critic or prosecutor of this cult, becomes an even stauncher follower.

Sloth

Alias: Zaxill Raychell(restock and splitt the letters until you have three words that has something to do with the meaning of Sloth)

Advanced abilities:
Far Sight - By using huge amounts of energy and concentration, Sloth can see what is happening at any place he chooses. That is to say, he can choose person or area X, concentrate on him/she/it and then he will see everything that occurs with that person through that persons eyes or in that area in bird perspective.
Future Prediction - If Sloth concentrates on his luck, then he can actually use his own energy to see things that will happen in near future(everything from a few seconds to a few minutes forward in time, depending on how much energy/how concentrated Sloth uses/is).
Emotion Control("Sloth Aura") - Sloth is capable of control the emotions of the people and animals(and plants for that matter) around him, making him able to turn the angriest most while ox into a tame sheep, or the other way around.
Acceleration - Sloth has the ability to instantly break accelerate through the sound barrier, and from there he can accelerate to he reaches the speed that humans(and homunculi alike) can no longer see him. Sloth hates to use this ability as it consumes energy and he has to move to use it. But this is the ability he usually uses for battle. Sloth of course is also capable of surviving this acceleration and any other form for acceleration(so he can handle more Gs than normal humans can. Hah!)
Sloth Mode - Sloth can turn any and EVERY power off at will to avoid consuming energy(even the regeneration abilities). This not only makes him a "normal" human but it also makes him able to go without water or food(or sleep) for weeks at a time. Also makes him "immune" to the rage. However when he goes back to being a homunculi, he will automatically go into a rage.
Enchanted Intelligence - He is a genius how makes weird, silly, scary and useful machines(and other inventions)

Personality/Backstory: "Ohh I assure you, I could get up and conquer the world should I wish it. Sure I could go and kill Greed, destroy the homunculi, and save the world! But you see, that would consume so much energy that it would not be profitable for me."
Sloth is as the name suggest: A lazy person. But he is not the kind of lazy that just lays down to sleep as much as possible... Well he does, but he does not hate work. In fact he loves it, as long as "work" involves other people working while he sits on his ass all day. This does not mean that he is dumb, or that he has no plan or ambition, because he has, he just hates actually working for it. Sloth is unlike many of his "brothers and sisters" as he is neither arrogant nor does he look down on the human race. In fact he rather likes them, and understands that the world is not for the homunculi to rule. But knowing what his siblings are up to, Sloth has decided that proper preparations and countermeasures must be taken if the world is to survive the coming power struggle. And so he built Atlantis Haven, mankind's "last" line of defense.

Based off of: Nicolas Tesla, Albert Einstein and Joseph Mengele. Somehow the mixture of three hardworking scientists spawned the biggest, laziest genius of all times.

Rage Frequency: Whenever he exits "Sloth Mode" or when he runs low on energy(if he stays passive(that is to say, without using any of his abilities except his passive luck) then he goes into a rage once every second month.

Appearance: Like L from Death Note only different cloths.
