Favourite films (top 5)

Ok my list would like this:   The best

Aliens        I dont know why exactly its not the most scary but its a classic

Then      Usual Suspects       Mainly for the superb ending
that completely supprised me totally! (unlike that damn sixth sense)

Then      LA Confidential       Great cast and great story

Then      Reservior dogs        The best sound track fast paced action too and a great great ending

And finally  Goodfellas/Casino  im really not sure which one should get 5th place there both superb and gritty.

Hmm i also want to add Leon into it somewhere as thats deserves a spot as well!

So whats yours?

*smile*

I'm a fan of arnie, I have been ever since I saw his butt in the Terminator. Conan, I think Arnie has never played a more fitting character, the sullen-eyed dark haired hero from lands afar (hey, has anyone heard anything about Conan the King? I heard something last year about Arnie liking the script...).

When I first watched Conan, I thought it was crap. But now, I appreciate it a little more. It's a real pity that fantasy movies have not been more prevalent in Hollywood.

I loved all the alien movies, 1 and 2 were classics, 3 is one of the best 'part 3' sequels that I've seen. 4, well 4 I have yet to appreciate. Ripley wasn't quite Ripley in that movie and I love her. She's everything I'd like to be.

Braveheart. (I still cry at the end!)

Braveheart versus Gladiator

Russel Crowe, although a highly acclaimed actor, doesn't pack up to the sheer anguish and pain which Mel Gibson displays to perfection.

In terms of action and scope, I think Gladiator was a better movie, but nothing made me feel like Braveheart did. Made me wish I was scottish (aye lass?).

lol!

Yeah braveheart does make you proud to be Scottish and is great to watch while traveling to England
But i still think Gladiator was more exciting maybe this is because i did not know they storyline before hand. But ive always like Roman Epics and though this one was superb!

Gladiator vs. Braveheart

Both films are great. Today trustfullness is something missing in us, we preffer to lie to people or to ourselves in way to succeed with living. Those two show two respectable and honoured man which are always TRUE to their goal. It's not 'bout Scottish vs. Englishman, or Romans - it's about TRUTH and HONOUR. And these are becoming missing species from our world.

If you want fact, maybe you should go watch a documentary.Neither of those movies are about being accurate historically, they are about entertainment, and they both do a damn fine job of it,(Braveheart wins easy in my opinion). If I am entertained, I dont care if they tell me that an Imp can beat an archangel in single combat.

i suppose we all wanted some surprise in movies,....and action but it was just sad to see caesar(gladiator) just that like that... when i thought he was to be such a hero...and i was expecting augustus throughout the whole movie to kick maximus' ass....not until the end of the movie did i realise they leftout augus totally...what a shame!!

Acid House... Isn't it the movie made of three short films by the director of Trainspotting, one about a guy who turns into a fly? Really funny movie.

BlackCat/WhiteCat - my best this "month" movie

Hey SurDunco - this KOLIA movie was about russian child left in pollish violin master? right? was good really

Okay - I've watched last weekend again UNDERGROUND (Emir Koustiritza) and I was again amazed by this film. Then I watched his newer film BLACK CAT and WHITE CAT (Crna maca, Beli macor) - pure fun action! hehe - really good movie - really.

I've bought about full collection of MEL BROOKS movies - some good some not. like SPACE BALLS, TWELVE CHAIRS, HISTORY OF THE WORLD, BLAZZING SADDLES (yeaaaah!) and of course one of my favourite - YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN!

Really can't sort out what which one is my favourite... like they are changing each month or weekend.
