Are we saying that mass confusion is the best spell in H5?
I think confusion is only really beneficial against might factions...

The best on its level, I must agree with Ambi. Just think of which perk you would wanna choose as early as possible in Dark department, Master of Mind? Shouldn't that explain?

It really depends on what faction you're up against....also what your town magic guild has....

That goes without saying. If Dark is not even in your book during a particular game, then there's no discussion. You don't go for a magic school just because it has a powerful 3rd level spell. You would also consider if you can make the best use of its 4th and 5th level in the final battle.

True, that's the thing about H5, you can't risk going for a magic school and not getting that particular spell you want...you gotta check your magic guild first before choosing mass spells abilities (in maps that are medium to large)....but master of mind with mass slow and mass confusion is awesome (not to mention if you pick up Sandra's cloak)
