Good Multiplayer maps...?
me and a buddy spend some time playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Multiplayer
we like to play on the same team.. and vs.. a lot of computers..
I've searched many sites.. like celestial haven and AW... for good big maps.. 2vsComputer..
its hard to find..
you guys have any suggestion?.. regards P3nnyw1se

also... we used to play Heroes of Might and Magic 5... 2 player vs. computer
but after a while.. on a big multiplayer map.. the computer would start taking 30-40 minutes turns...
we play on fast good computers... the one we hosted from is even brand new.. yet we have these problems..
do you guys know anything about this? has it been fixed maybe? its been some months since we played Heroes 5..

If you want good multiplayer maps (2h vs 6c), then you should try to use custom templates and start your rmg to have a good session..

the thing is.. I don't wanna know where every little thing is on the map.. I like to be surprised and start on the same level as my buddy...
a part of the fog of war is the excitment...

but do you know any good maps?...
big team maps.. that people could play?... there must be some big famous ones or something...
I heard about one called Lord of War?.. is that a custom or campaign map? and can you play team in it?

The best 2 vs computer SOD map I know is Ancient Greece, by Teglatphalasar, master piece, very challenging. You may have to edit the players teams before. Templates vs computer is a no go, AI does not know how to take advantage of the bonus areas, except if someone edit them. Are there templates giving to AI a better start?

just downloaded the map and opened it in the editor..
2 things..
who do I need to set as teams?.. blue ?... if the game isn't made for teams.. wouldn't that mean we would get completely different advantages or starts.. when I change a computer player to a teamplayer human, he could start with less recourses.. or start just next to the other computer players?
2) I've counted 30-40 castles so far... there is a place with like 5-6 castles just next to each other... that doesn't sound very good?

Just set red and blue on first team, all others on second team, and play with your friend red and blue. Don't worry about having a lot of towns, so does the AI.

alright will check it out..
know any similiar good maps... balanced maps.. where it would be possible to just change red and blue into a team..
and it wouldn't interfer a lot with the game?..
basicly what I'm looking for is simple
XL maps.. 8 players.. each get an area to start from... we are 2.. vs 6...
classic map...

My "Coldshadow's Fantasies" fits here. Very low monster strength to treasure area for the AI.

guys you must know some maps  .. I'm not looking for the 'second coming'
I just want big maps.. balanced maps.. with a lot of players and the possibility to make 2 players in teams..

You blind? Ancient Greece, 8 players, various replay possibilities when 2 vs 6 computers. Just edit them to 2 teams, it takes 1 second.
THERE ARE NO MAPS 2 HUMANS VS 6 COMPUTERS READY FOR YOU.
Take any multiplayer and edit it to fit.

thx I found 2... damned river and continental war..
unlike your suggestion they seem to be very balanced and without more castles than mines.

My first 2-player-team vs computers map was "good to go"  That was pretty challenging because computer has a hundreds of lvl 1 monster.. that was good time..

A new Lord of the Rings Middle Earth map. Even if you're not a Tolkien fan, an excellent co-op map. Designed for 1-3 allied players vs 5 AI and can be quite a challenge.

Please try my map: " Grims Broken Compass "
It has lots of variety, bosses, custom heroes, it has an functional shop were you can buy everything from spells to secondary skills, it is Hard and well balanced and still every team plays differently and feels strong in its own way. It has lore which is pretty fun. I love this map and I update it often.
