Poll Question:
Pool: Upgrade families?

If you have played H5 Tribes of the East you know that it added alternative evolutions right?
And in some factions all evolutions had a specific theme on them.
If you dont know what I mean here it is:
Haven: Blueys upgrade to silverys OR to redys.
Inferno: Normalys evolve to Fierys OR Smokys.
Stronghold: Orcs upgrade to demonic orcs or armored orcs/humanesque orcs.
Fortress: Bronzys upgrade to Darker bronzys/redies or golies.

My question is: Do you like that lines of upgrades have a common theme or ramdomly?

Responses:
Totaly! I love how different upgrades fit togeter!
I dont care.
I hate that.
As long as we have alternate upgrades Im fine.

I like it when it makes sense. So, only in Haven, I guess. If it's just a graphical theme and the alternate upgrades aren't somehow bound together otherwise aside from being in the same faction, then I'd rather see further creativity.

Like in Fortress, as you said - alternate upgrades are all whitebeards for some reason, probably because the art team didn't have a better idea. They could be... varied.

I think it totally depends. I think I would like having, if alternate upgrades came, two general lines of upgrading themes but not strictly done, rather some creatures should be different. Also I think, as minakht, I think, that this theme should be about more than looks. Example:

Haven (H6):

I think the general upgrades should be divided into defensive and offensive here. Defensive units are mostly heavy armoured, with shining Silver/Gold armour. Offensive troops are more Heavy weapond Veterans, maybe a scar here or there would come good. Abilitywise, it's quite clear: Defensive or offensive abilities added^^ Like "Defensive" upgrades provide "Spear Wall" for Sentinels, Defense Buffing Spells for the Priestess, Ressurrection for Angels, Fierce Retaliation for Gryffins etc.. "Offensive" upgrades would rather provided, f.e. "Fire Arrows" for Bowman (can incinerate enemy), "Charge" for the Sun Riders, Dive for Griffins, etc.
Haven could even do without exceptions, but it's also possible there are some:
Sun Rider could have not a defensive upgrade, but a more speed and a more damage based, or maybe a more MIGHT and a  more MAgic/ability-based upgrade.
