New RTS HoMM spinoff

[AHS:another heroes spinoff]
A long time ago(last summer I think),RabbidCow started a wave of RTS spinoffs.A few of weeks it was a Rts HoMM mania...I quite liked that idea,so I decided to restart it.

RESOURCES

1.Food
The most important resource at training units.It is required at the most of the units,techs and upgrades.The only race who don't need food is the undead one.Food can be gather from hunting,berry bushes,farms,domestic animals,

2.Treasury
The second resource as importance,treasury consists of money,precious metals etc.It is needed at training the majority of units,techs and upgrades.Treasury can be received from copper mines,silver mines,gold mines,mines requires a mountain which contains these ores,banks,estates,trade routes etc.

3.Wood
The basic resource for buildings,excepting some buildings,all structures requires wood.It can be gather from trees: oak trees,pine trees,desert palms,jungle palms,swamp trees etc.

4.Stone
The old ore is now divided in two resources,stone is one of them.Several buildings requires stone:walls,forts,base centers,towers etc.To can gather stones is required a Stone Quarry which can be build on any type of mountain.

5.Iron
The second and last resource divided from ore is the iron.The basic resource at military units,techs and upgrades,especially used after the 2nd age.There exists also a few buildings which require it.Iron can be gather at iron mines,which can only be build on a mountain which contain iron ore.

6.Gems
A rare,but very useful resource.Required for advance units,techs and upgrades.The majority of spell-casters require gems.Misc gems can be gather from diverse mineral mines:aquamarine mine,topaz mine,emerald mine,sapphire mine and diamond mine,these mines can be build only on mountains which contains these minerals.

STATS
Every unit has specific stats which show how much damage can it deal from ranged/melee attacks,how much damage can block etc.

Attack
There are two types of attack:
Melee Attack-show how much damage can inflict the unit in melee attacks
Ranged Attack-show how much damage can inflict the unit at distance attacks
Magic Attack-show how much damage can inflict the unit using magical attacks

Defense
There are three types of defense:
Melee Defense-show how much damage received from melee attacks can block the unit
Ranged Defense-show how much damage received from ranged attacks can block the unit
Magic Resistance-show how much damage received from magic attacks can block the unit from magic attacks

Hit Points
Show how much damage can receive this unit.

Range
Show how far can shoot a ranged unit.

Mana Bar
Mana bar show how much magic points have the unit.Every spell cost a number of mana points.Mana regenerates.

AGES
Ages can be advanced from the base center.Every age comes with specific buildings,units,techs and upgrades.To can advance an age a player must spent an (high) amount resources.You must evolve from an age to another and can't be skipped(you can't jump from 1st age to 3rd)

BUILDINGS

1.Base Center
Having a specific name for each race(castle for humans,necropolis for undead etc.),in control center you can recruit workers and storing resources.Can perform gather speed,workers stats and carrying capacity.

2.House
Houses are basic buildings with low hp,they increase population who can be supported be player.Can support 10 population.

3.Precious Metal Mine
This mine is used for treasury gather,one of the most used resources in game.Gold Mine can be build only on mountain who contains gold.Can perform gold gather speed.

4.Quarry
Quarry is used for stone gather,resource used at buildings.Can be build on any type on mountain.Can perform stone gather speed.

5.Farm
Farm is a very useful building,there can be gather food.Once build,it have 5 places for gather food from and also provides 5 domestic animals specific for each race.

6.Wood Storage
Wood Storage is used for gather wood,important resources for buildings.Can perform wood gather speed and workers attack vs.trees.

7.Iron Mine
Iron Mine is used for iron gather,resource used at infantry,cavalry,ranged and some spell-caster units.Can be build only on a mountain who contains Iron Ore.Can perform stone gather speed.

8.Gem mine
Gem mine is used for gem gather.Gem Mine can be build only on mountain which contains a gem type.Can perform gem gather speed.

9.Blacksmith
Blacksmith is able to perform and upgrade civilian and military units.Increase attack and defense.

10.Harbor
Harbor is naval building,who can be build only on shore.In harbor can be build ships,even military and civilian.All races have fishing boats,except undead race which doesn't need food,also all races have merchant boats.Military ships are different for any race.

11.Marketplace
Marketplace is an important resources building,a trade one.Between your and your ally marketplaces can be build trade routes,on trade routes you can recruit Trade Cart,who can change an amount of resources into a bigger of another(your ally will don't lose/win anything,if you trade with carts),trade carts must go to the a marketplace to other.Also you can trade without carts a resource for others,the cost depends of your resources amount(with a resources will be more,it will cost less,so you must pay more for other resources and vice-versa)

12.Basic Military Building-Specific for each race(barracks for humans,crypt for undead etc.).It is available from 1st age and produce basic units,unique for every race.Also allows researching of techs and upgrades of these units.

13.Advance Military Building
Specific for each race(mausoleum for undead etc.).It is available from 3rd age and produce advance units,unique for every race.Also allows researching of techs and upgrades of these units.

14.Expert Military Building
Specific for each race(dragon vault for undead etc.).It is available from 4th age and produce the expert unit,unique for every race.Also allows researching of techs and upgrades of this unit.

15.War Machines Building
Specific for each race.It is available from 3rd age and produce war machines,unique for every race.Also allows researching of techs and upgrades of these units.

16.Fort
Specific for each race.It is available from 4th age and produce units from every other military building,except war machines.A player can own only 1 fort.Also attack enemy units within its range area.

17.Watch Tower
Specific for each race.It is available from 2nd age and attack enemy units within its range area.It can be upgraded from the special researching buildings unique to each race.

18.Defensive Walls
Walled territory have extra defense putting an obstacle which must be destroyed by enemies to reach to your buildings.
-Gates:allows to your units and allies to go outside/inside walled territory
-Bastions:at the every corner of your wall there will appear bastions,in these bastions you can garrison a ranged unit(except war machines) which will shot from there in enemies units

19.Basic Researching Building
Specific for each race.It is available from 2nd age and improves some units,buildings etc.

20.Advance Researching Building
Specific for each race.It is available from 3rd age and improves some units,buildings etc.

Heroes
Heroes are powerful units which can be recruited at base center,there are 1 hero/age and it's unique for every race.From researching buildings,heroes specialities can be developed or upgraded.Only 1 hero from each type can a player own,but can recruit it again,if killed.Heroes stats increase which age.

Undead
Necromancy can raise corpses as devoted servants of the necromancer which summoned them.Powerful mages choose to be immortal and join to the death empire.The undeads strategy is "A dead enemy is a good ally".Necromancers raise dead enemies as undead to serve and fight for them and so the same tactic continue.The undead society have 2 categories:The intelligent leaders,necromancers and liches which control the second category,the mindless servants.Undead are restless,indifferent for hunger or thirst,so food is useless for them,this fact and undeads can work without breaks results a great economy.

Advantages and Specials

Undead troops
All units of this race are undead,so are immune to mindspells and poison.Also no unit or tech DOESN'T COST FOOD,because undeads don't need food,so undead race hasn't farm building or others which have to do with food.

Venom Generators
Undeads are immune to poison,but living creatures aren't.So the necromancers didn't ignore this advantage and can build venom generators,which cover an area in poisonous vapors.All living creatures which stays in venomous area are damaged.

Excavations
Necromancers can summon any type of corpse.Even if are rare,fossil creatures are quite strong and resistant.Necromancers can explore an area with objective to find a dragon or other creature skeleton.After,the undead workers can build an excavation area and dig for the skeleton,which will be animated by necromancer.

Buildings
Buildings have an Gothic architecture and are built from obsidian.Also are used bone ornaments and buildings such as the Sedlec Ossuary.

Base Center-Necropolis
In Necropolis you can recruit workers and storing resources.Can perform gather speed,workers stats and carrying capacity.Visual:1st age=a chapel-like building made from obsidian,it has a couple of columns and a stone skull in top,surrounded by open graves and coffins.2nd age=larger,has sharp ornaments on the roof and the graves are larger and surrounded by a wooden fence.3rd age=the building in no more surrounded by graves,it looks like a black Gothic moanstery and is ornamented with bones.4th age=now looks like a black Gothic castle and is covered with bones,statues of knights in black armors with skeletal horses are in front of the four entrances,there are also gargoyles.Can garrison 15 units.

Tombs are basic buildings with low hp,they increase population who can be supported be player.Can support 10 population.Visual:1st age=a small wood crypt-like building.2nd age=a stone made small stone crypt-like building.3rd age=now is made from obsidian and have cross ornaments.4th age=larger and has a gargoyle ornament.

Wood Storage
Wood Storage is used for gather wood,important resources for buildings.Can perform wood gather speed and workers attack vs.trees.

Quarry
Quarry is used for stone gather,resource used at buildings.Can be build on any type on mountain.Can perform stone gather speed.

Iron Mine

Marketplace

Estate
Estate is an important economical building.Once build it allows 5 places to collecting treasury for workers.In estate also lives vampires,so is the second building where can be recruited vampires.Also allows economical upgrades and vampire upgrade.

-Bills of Exchange-increase the speed of workers who collect treasury at estates
-Haunted Mines-increase the speed of gathering precious metals(for treasury),gems and iron
-Carrying Devourers-allows combination of zombies and corpse devourer for increasing the capacity of resources which the unit can carry
-Blood-thirst-vampires gain more health from dealt damage,also corpse devourers gain drain life ability
-Rabid-allows transforming of zombies into ghouls,which lose worker ability,but gain more combat stats and scavenger ability,also allows combination of ghouls and corpse devourers if Carrying Devourers is developed

Souls Prison
In this building necromancers develop abilities and boosts stats of advance units.

-Soul Drain-Mummies,Necrolytes and Liches gain mana when killing enemies
-Power of Netherworld-upgrades Darkness Towers to Netherworld towers
-Earthquake-develop earthquake for liches
-Vampiric Curse-when vampires drain life,they also infect the target
-Death Cloud-develop area attack for liches
-Aura of Healing-friendly units which stands next to a venom generator are healed
-Spectral Power-develop raise ghosts for liches

Ghoul#
Transformed Zombie.Infantry unit.The necromancers can develop feral instincts of zombies,making them rabid and savage.Unlike normal zombies,ghouls lose their worker ability and get battle stats.Using claws caught on their hands,these undeads can slaughter the enemies and eat them to regain health.Zombies can be transformed for free in ghouls by pressing a button which will appear at zombies stats after the developing of a special tech at Estate.Can't be again transformed in zombie.

Combined Ghoul+Corpse Devourer.Cavalry unit.The rotten rider is a corpse devourer ride by a ghoul.These two savage undead make a deadly combo.Fast and merciless,this feral cavalry is master slaughter.Also the both undead eat corpses to regain health.This unit can be make by pressing a button ,which appear at Ghoul stats after developing a tech at Estate,when the ghoul stand next to a corpse devourer.Can be separated.

Mummy
Spellcaster unit.From ancient times important rulers,priests and great mages were mummified after death.The ritual duration was 70 days,organs were removed,the body was put in salt and in other solutions,after covered with bandages.To protect them from evil spirits,the ancients put on their bodies magic amulets.The corporal strength was kept thousands of years,but also deadly bacterias covered the body.The necromancers take this advantage and animated mummies.Abilities can be improved at Pillar of Bones.Recruited at Crypt from 3rd age.

Infantry unit.As their name say,these undeads are killing machines.Armed whit an axe and a light armor are offensive-oriented infantry.Executioners heavy axe can break bones of the enemies making them slower and defenseless.Attack and Defense upgraded at blacksmith.Recruited at Estate from 3rd age.

Flier unit.Vampires are cursed people which after death rise as undead bloodsucker which can transform in bats.These bloody undead awake only at nights,because sun light damage them,to search blood,vampires drink blood from any creature from cattle to humans.Necromancers discovered how to research immunity at sun light,garlic effects and transformed themselves in vampires.Attack and Defense are improved at Blacksmith,can improve abilities at Souls Prison.Recruited at Mausoleum from 3rd age.

Vampire Baron*
Upgraded Vampire.Flier unit.These vampires are the nobles of the undead race.More intelligent and better equipped than their bloody and less smarter brothers.As any other vampires,they drink blood and can transform themselves in bats.Attack and Defense are upgraded at Blacksmith,abilities are upgraded at Estate and Souls Prison.Recruited at Mausoleum and Estate,after the Vampire Baron as upgrade of Vampire is developed at Estate.

Cavalry Unit.When knights and commanders chose the undead side and might over magic they become Dread Knights.These death riders are covered in a full black armor and use a large sword.Riding heavy armored black horses which need just to run to kill enemies.Dread Knights have a great skill in killing enemies whit just one hit.Attack and Defense are improved at Blacksmith,can improve abilities at Souls Prison.Recruited at Mausoleum from 4th age.

War Machine unit.Unlike other races,undead throw corpses instead stones with catapults.These catapults are named Corpse thrower,build from wood and metal work as any other catapult,but with different mislles.Even if the corpses can't cause so much damage as heavy stones,they can spare diseases.Attack is improved at Pillar of Bones.Recruited from Siege Workshop at 3rd age.

Undertaker Cart
War Machine unit.This cart driven by a skeletal horse,carry corpses,which are very useful for the necromancers.There are also 2 human skeletons,one drive the horse and the other is armed whit a bow.They take corpses and drop them at command to animate them a necromancer or lich.Also they can drop all corpses in enemies cities to spare diseases.Attack is improved at Blacksmith.Recruited from Siege Workshop at 3rd age.

Derelict Ship

Ghost Ship
Military Naval unit.The ghost of a ship which rest on the bottom of the sea,resurrected and controlled by necromancers.This ship is the nightmare of any living ship.The equipage and the ship itself is a ghost,so because of this fact,the ghost ship is very resistant to attacks.Trained at Harbor from 4th age.

Lizardmen
Lizardmen are a reptilian race,which dwell in swamps,however in history there were migrations of tribes in desert.Lizardmen are larger than humans,having between 2-2.3m and over 200kg,they eat almost anything which grow in swamps,from fresh meat to plants,fungi and even corpses.Lizardmen tribes are military oriented,usually fighting mounted.Even living in swamps,they are excellent riders,because lizardmen feed their war horses with special herbs,found only in swamps.The swamp give even more advantages,learning to build on muddy ground,developed their buildings to be larger and more resistant than other races' ones.

Advantages and Specials

Hunters
The lizardmen have 2 workers,one like any others and a semi-military one,the hunter.Hunters can't mine and build all structures,but can hunt,cut trees,fishing and foraging.Also they can set traps,visible for you and your allies,but invisible for enemies,these traps can block/damaging/poisoning the enemies.Having higher stats than other workers,hunters are only good for battles.

Massive Buildings
The swamp give even more advantages,learning to build on muddy ground,developed their buildings to be larger and more resistant than other races' ones.Lizardmen buildings have at least +33% hp than others.

Cavalry Experts
The heavy war horses of the lizardmen,allowed them to conquer a continent and giving great troubles to humans empire.Lizardmen have the best cavalry,even not as armored as knights,but fastest and with the greatest attack.

Desert Mode
From feudal age,the desert migration of lizardmen started,lots of tribes moved and adapted in desertic environment.Leaving their old swamp habitat,they developed new combat techniques and tamed other beasts,but keeping their reputation as the best riders.From 3rd age,for 1000 from each resources,lizardmen can switch on desert mode,changing buildings graphics and removing the most of structures and old military units(for new ones).

Buildings
Normal Mode:buildings have a tribal aspect,leathers,tents.
Desert Mode:buildings have Arabian/Egyptian style

Base Center-Keep
At keep you can recruit worker unit and storing resources.Also you can advance to next year.

Houses are basic buildings with low hp,they increase population who can be supported be player.Can support 10 population.Visual:1st age=a painted tent.2nd age=a swamp hut.3rd age=bigger and ornate with leathers and bones.4th age=like in 3rd age.

Wood Storage
Wood Storage is used for gather wood,important resources for buildings.Can perform wood gather speed and workers attack vs.trees.

Quarry
Quarry is used for stone gather,resource used at buildings.Can be build on any type on mountain.Can perform stone gather speed.

Iron Mine
Iron Mine is used for iron gather,resource used at infantry,cavalry,ranged and some spell-caster units.Can be build only on a mountain who contains Iron Ore.Can perform stone gather speed.

Gem mine
Gem mine is used for gem gather.Gem Mine can be build only on mountain which contains a gem type.Can perform gem gather speed.

Blacksmith
Blacksmith is able to perform and upgrade civilian and military units.Increase attack and defense.

Marketplace
Marketplace is an important resources building,a trade one.Between your and your ally marketplaces can be build trade routes,on trade routes you can recruit Trade Cart,who can change an amount of resources into a bigger of another(your ally will don't lose/win anything,if you trade with carts),trade carts must go to the a marketplace to other.Also you can trade without carts a resource for others,the cost depends of your resources amount(with a resources will be more,it will cost less,so you must pay more for other resources and vice-versa)

Guild Hall
In lizardmen society,military system is organized in war guilds.People from tribes from all around lizardmen empire are trained here.Basic military units building.

Merge houses with farms and you can get rid of 'food'. Also, why only physical attacks, surely some creatures would be able to do magical damage. I also dislike the whole 'ages' thing, they were never a brilliant idea anyway, and the concept is really threadbare these days.

@MattII:To combine houses and farms I don't it's the best idea.Undead don't have farms,I know will be logical if they won't need houses,but will be also overpowered(because they also don't need food).About magic damage,the spellcasters cast spells which have a constant damage(maybe there will be somethig like spell-power which increase magic damage

They do need magic though, to stop themselves rotting, so that's how you work it. Also, theoretically demons wouldn't need food either, but they probably would need some sort of magic to hold open the gateways to their infernal realm.

Interesting. Also that we have qutie some spinoff revivals now...I'd really liek to do my RTS idea again,too XD
but I think I better first try to work HoSP further...
