Town Crier: State of the Realm, April 2011
Spring has come, and daffodils are blossoming around the mouth of the Dragon Cave, as it enters into a new golden age. Jabanoss the Human Wizard/Fighter, Blizzardboy the Warlock, and Duke Falcon the Paladin, each representing an opposing team, have joined the other Dragon Cavers in fostering upcoming dragons.
Corribus, the Red Wizard of Thay, has grown tired of the horde of barbarians dominating the streets and taverns of the Heroes Community, and has risen up a call to arms in restoring respect and goodwill to the town. Naked barbarian warrior, 1910, has joined him as his front-man bodyguard. Currently no spells have been thrown, though it is believed he has a scroll of Meteor Shower reserved in the worst case situation.
Azagal, a famed chivalrous swashbuckler, devastated after falling victim to a clever ruse by Selcy the Fighter/Rogue, has put himself into a self-imposed exile of shame. As a good friend to the samurai Adrius, it is rumored that Azagal might subscribe to his friend's creed and shove his sword in his chest as penance for his failure to see through the ruse.
OhForFSake, a menacing gnomish sorcerer, the harbinger of the barbarian horde, and ten-time sex offender, has shown signs of relinquishing his reign of terror as Corribus and other heroes have protested to his outrageous mannerisms.
Evinin, a subtle human rogue of the community, has recently unveiled herself from the mask she constantly wears, however Duke Falcon the paladin positioned his face in the way of the excited onlookers, and it is whispered that he will now be thrown in the town well.
Mvassilev, a soft-spoken abjurer and legendary killjoy of the community, gossiped at the taverns about April Fool's prior to the day, thus grossly ruining the chances of surprising the newest heroes to the town. It is whispered that one of the town sheriffs, Elvin the monk, will assault him with the Buddha palm in his sleep as retribution.
Jollyjoker the dwarven warrior, whose name remains a mystery given his personality, has recently begun a campaign to shut down the magical mill that powers Heroes Community. He believes the arcane magic used to propel the machine is highly destructive in nature, and the risk of it ever being sabotaged by the notorious plots of Team Destruction is too great, and that the community should instead harvest power from the methane of pig feces.
Nightterror the mentally deranged spirit shaman, who lives on the edges of town, has begun shouting from the hills that she in fact a completely unique species. Baklava, long-time druid and head of the local drug cartel, believes that such claims are a grave danger to the community and threaten the balance of life. He has begun planting magically-enchanted pecan seeds around town that will ward off her aggressive spirits.
Samurai Adrius, also a dedicated silversmith, has been crafting custom statues for all heroes to be placed in the town square. Various adventurers have flocked to his shop seeking his services.
Elodin, the heroic and fearless halfling paladin, has just been slain in the tunnels of the OSM for what is believed to be the 100th time. He will be resurrected by his deity in due time and return to do battle.
Lexxan, the indomitable gnomish warrior, has attached himself to the warlock Blizzardboy's legs and will not remove himself until the warlock has apologized for throwing a spider into his face. It is possible the warlock will be taken to the town court for charges of discrimination against midgets, though the warlock has denied such claims.
Kipshasz the orcish barbarian has recently had the axle of his wagon stolen. He has had the axle replaced and pledges that a gruesome death will befall the one that attempts it again, and in order to remain more alert, he has weaned himself off of his constant flow of vodka and will be drinking strictly beer for the next month. As a result, it is believed to be the first time in months that he hasn't taken a piss on the side of the road... more than 3 times.
Geny, a villainous elven knight, has been seen weeping tears of joy after Pandora descended from her sunlit abode to pay the community a visit. He has retired to his chambers to reflect on the visit as well as change his underwear.
Doomforge, dwarven hexblade and champion criticizer, has taken a vow that he will break his addiction of gambling in the local taverns. In order to assist himself in this task, he has broken his own fingers so that he is unable to properly hold a hand of cards. Many adventurers have decried his attempts and say that gambling is harmless, though Doomforge remains resolute in his goal.
