Stargazers, OoC
I know that I'm working on another RP right now, and that I'll be busy doing so for a while, but some new posters wanted experience. This should be a nice, short RP that gives everyone the feel for what an RP should be. 
The world is set 376 years in the future. Humans are now outside of the confines of their small world and gone out to the stars. Expeditions to explore viable worlds for colonization have been sent out.
We are one such expedition.
The tech level is fairly high, though projectile weapons are still far more common than energy weapons, and energy weapons are incapable of rapid fire without overheating incredibly quickly. The standard armor that everyone wears is rather thin but durable. Still, it would be too heavy to move in if mechanical assistance wasn't present. They all come with helmets, are space-proof and have a large range of visor modes. (Infrared, sonic, uv and standard)
There are many crew members, but the captain and most officers died in crio'. The few who are left are listed here:
-Science officer: Commander Whitemoon
Appearance: Short (5ft7), serious and rather angry expression on his face, Com. Whitemoon has black hair and almost unhealthily white skin. He has piercing blue eyes and is rather thin, but he rarely seen without his helmet off.
Positions: Science officer, stand-in Captain and sniper.
Background: Born near-emotionless and with a photographic memory, Whitemoon had a hard life by choice. He graduated from his third university three years before most people are admitted into their first. Seeing the military as the best way to serve his race and his country, Whitemoon joined and quickly became an officer of some distinction. He invented the battle-suits that are now common throughout military companies. He is currently working on a prototype of nanobot technology. He took over for the captain when they found he had died in crio...
-Medic: Dr Ruth Sunbeam Single, white female, brown hair, blue eyes, rosey cheeks, flirty.
Joined the crew after previous relationhip ended in disaster.
Graduated from medical school 5 years previously. Interested in furthering research into the crygenic studies of humans.
-Moral officer: Open
-Psychiatrist: Alexander Francis 'Alex' Crussoe
Age: Early thirties(when left for the journey)
Appearance: Like this, fair skin, black hair, green eyes. Sometimes wears an old(but in perfect condition) SS hat. Clothes' colors are black with yellow. Incapable of facial mimicry.
Position: Psychiatrist and field medic. Also has a talent at fixing stuff, so sometimes sticks with the technical staff.
Skills/Powers: A gifted psychic, Alex can bend cutlery, sense and influence minds and hurl small sharp(or any other kind) objects at great speeds. Overuse of his gift causes severe migrene or even fainting. Can fix small computer hardware malfunctions almost instantly. Excellent knowledge of how human mind works. Great archeological knowledge and skills.
Weapons: A .45 caliber pistol which comes in a variety of customising options(silencer, laser sight, flashlight etc.) and a sword which he never draws in combat.
Personality: A bit cynical and sarcastic. Sometimes shows traits of aristocratic arrogance and sometimes talks whatever rolls on the tongue. Due to his inability of showing facial expressions it's nearly impossible to tell when he's joking and when he's serious. Has a deep hatred of aliens.
Background: Graduated from the psychic college at very young age, Alex enrolled in the medicine university, choosing to be a field medic and taking part time studies in the psychological faculcy. Even he went to a different branch of study, he never lost interest in family business (archeology) and often acompanied his father and twin siblings to the digsite. Few years before he enrolled to his current ship, he was abducted by hostile alien species from a archeological site on Titan. He remembers only a few things of it, and rather keep this expirience to himself. After his return, he found out that some of his nervous systems are burnt out. Thus left him unable to make facial expressions and he lost the sense of smell.
Other: Despite his alien hatred, Alex has deep interest in alien technology (mainly hoping to find a way to undo the damage done to him)
-Guradian: Herbert Mustaffa (he is just called Predator because of his size and appearance when wearing the heavy armor)
Appearance: Very tall (7feet2), broad shoulders and back, he generally has a very large body. Long black hair, dark skinned (african heritage), brown eyes. Deep voice (think Vin Diesel ). Entirely black eyes.
Positions: Just guardian.
Background: Because of his size, Herbert had a hard childhood. The other kids shunned him and his parents didn't know how to behave near him, as they felt intimidated. Most people seemed to walk extra far just to avoid being near him, as they feared what he might do. He felt he could not get a job due to his size, so he applied to the only place where his size and strength might be appreciated. The army. Here he trained to be one of their top students, only focusing on his work.
Personality: Straight-to-business. Serious. Caring. He protects those he is set to keep safe with his life, if necessary. He does enjoy pretty colors and beauty.
-Sniper: Hugh Gunroy
Positions: Sniper, tactical soldier
Appearance: Caucasian male, Medium Length (6ft), have neutral face of expression that rarely changes, has short brown hair and dark green/brown eyes. He is kinda slim, but well trained and with a slim face.
He has simple clothing fitting a sniper, he is rarely seen in other types of clothes.
Background: not much is know about this guy, some say he is from earth, some says he was born on a shipping carrier and ssome even say he just came out of nowhere during a battle, and have just tagged along wherever he could since then. In any case, there's a big likelihood won't tell anyone.
Personality: Hugh is not very talkative, but he does have a habit of talking to himself. He also treasures the small things in life, such as shooting, spying and sleeping.
Commander Whitemoon filled this position as well.
-Debugger: Arlea Ta'Annis. Martian/Human. Humans colonized Mars many centuries ago, but the different atmosphere and chemical compound changes caused subtle defects in its human population.
Master bomb disposal expert and trap maker. Electrical expert.
The daughter of 11th generation Martian born humans. The martian atmosphere caused genetic defects in all human babies born on Mars. Thus leaving Mars barely populated, except for prospecting types, engineers and scientist. Arlea grew up used to the thin breathable atmosphere of Mars. Her genetic defects are visible. Her greenish skin, pure silver hair and entirely black eye sockets a fairly common trait. However, despite her height and build (thin and gangly) she is incredibly fast, dexterous and strong. Her sense of smell surpasses that of human dogs and her black eyes, despite being rather startling, give her enhanced visual capabilities and enable her to see in the dark.
As Martian born, she rarely needs to eat or drink. Instead gets her nourishment from bursts of pure oxygen. Should she be denied pure oxygen for long periods of time, her body automatically goes into a torpor/hibination that can eventually prove fatal. However, because of his Arlea can survive even the most harshest of planetary atmospheres. Even Arlea doesn't know her correct age. Genetically damaged Martian borns like her can live for centuries.
6'10" tall, gangly. Age unknown, could be ancient. Bald apart from very long mohican. Hair silver and eye sockets entirely black (no desernable iris). Slight green tinge to skin.
Shuns most company.
-Electrician: Basil Crenshaw
Appearance: This
Position: Electrician
Personality: Lazy, except when it comes to fixing, flying or tinkering(Bordering on insubordination); Gossipy; Doubtfull; Sociable.
Background: Basil had one purpose in life, one skill, one desire, To FLY! He dreamt to be a (space-)pilot and fly his own craft. He went to 'pilotschool' and finished almost top of his class. However his lazy/insubordinate ways barred him from nearly every military or civilian flight-job as all Basil cared about was flying itself and not everything else that was part of the job. Basil's second passion was mechanics and loves to spend time not flying gloves-deep into oiled machinery, fixing it or just taking it apart to see how it works. Whenever he's not tinkering or flying, Basil is generally found with a drink in hand chatting to someone or another.
-Communications officer: Ev
Position: Communications Officer
Stuff: About 6'5", tanned and lean, semi-muscular. Face has a huge scar running down the right side of his face. One of his eyes is green, the other is dark red. He always wears his formal uniform, and is a stickler when it comes to laws and rules. Typically carries a handgun, but not much else in terms of armanent. Always has a cell phone (or its modern equivalent) with him, and zealously guards it. He can speak almost any language, so he is also a good diplomat. He is also an expert haggler, however, he has one fault; he gets frustarated very easily, which makes him a loose cannon (in terms of diplomacy).

Here, I'll show you an example of a (standard) character sheet:

We can have multiple people filling in the same position, but they have to do something else as well. (What point would there be if you had a person who had a big gun, but couldn't heat himself a pop tart?)
