4 new factions

this mod makes refuge, arcania, nexus and oblivion compatible with each other. they replace stronghold, academy, dungeon and inferno

and this one

just put them in UserMods without unzipping them


if you have the NCF exe, this file adds original academy, stronghold, dungeon and inferno creatures as neutrals NCF units :

I guess I shouldn't expect anyone to report possible glitches?

Can you also make a mod that adds the sylvan treants as neutral NCF, so the  beta treants can be used in the castle? The last time I tried I failed and you seem to do this so easily.

hum, it's like 9 files to change. the only problem is the advmapsharedgroup files. does it need to be an upgrade of that mod or an independent one?

Does that matter? otherwise they are just merged aren't they?

nah, you know, that file is like skills.xdb

if 2 mods use it, they don't merge well.

Well I guess then the mod needs to be integrated with the beta treants otherwise the mod has no purpose

4 factions + treants as NCF creatures
download

note : you will have to get the beta treants separately (I guess they are downloadable somewhere?)
I didn't bother testing. I hope I made no mistake.

I might as well explain how to do it :

you need to extract 3 files :

GameMechanics/Creatures/.../Main creature file.

rename it to Creature_xxx.xdb
put the file in the neutral folder.

MapObjects/FactionName/Creature
in that file, just change the last line :
Quote:
<Creature>CREATURE_861</Creature>

you may also put this file in the neutral folder. in that case, change the corresponding link in the 2 other files.

and AdvMapObjectLink/Monsters/FactionName/CreatureName

replace the FactionName by "NCF". Replace the CreatureName by Creature_xxx.xdb

really, if you have already created NCF creatures, it is easy. it is the same process, except you don't need to change anything in the creature.

Thank you very much! , I was actually thinking you were talking about integrating with the original beta treants mod, instead of 4 factions mod, but with your explanations I should be able to make any combination.

there were a few other towns, but I chose to not include them.

the asylum town, could have been added, but I see people are still working on it.

the wintrial town seems a bit far from being finished unfortunately. no work on the heroes, skillwheel, the town...

the conflux would have been a good adition, but it takes the same slot as arcania (and since I made arcania )

Conflux & Refuge mod

This mod makes Conflux and Refuge compatible. It's only a compatibility pack, you have to download [url=http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=34829]Conflux[/url] and [url=http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=34889]Refuge[/url] separately. Oblivion and Nexus aren't supported.
