My friend and I just found copies of Homm3 and tried to set up a online game with a random map. No matter which settings we pick under random map (any combination of players and teams) we can never put people on the same team! Each and every player is on their own team? What the heck am I screwing up lol?

Example for 2 humans (as a team) vs 4 computer players (2 teams of 2)
Number of human or computer players: 2
Number of human or computer teams: 1
Number of computer only players: 4
Number of computer only teams: 2
Example for 6 human players (3 teams of 2) vs none computer players:
Number of human or computer players: 6
Number of human or computer teams: 3
Number of computer only players: 0
Number of computer only teams: 0
Example for 3 human players (1 team) vs 5 computer players (1 team):
Number of human or computer players: 3
Number of human or computer teams: 1
Number of computer only players: 5
Number of computer only teams: 1
