But surely the big problem with Titans is that like all ranged units they can be trapped into either attacking what is next to them or they can only move. Not move and attack. So your opponent can send a weak troop (or the remains of a good stack) and sit it next to your Titans. They either waste their attack on it or don't attack at all. I know there are ways around this (use spells, kill the stack with others etc.) but it makes them less flexible than most level 7s. Or have I missed something?

They sure can move and attack -- it just has to be a melee attack. Just have them attack a weaker stack or one that has used its retaliation already.

Their speed can be a good tactic too... For example an AA attacked your gremlins then your titan (or genie) will be the next to move, the AA is now closer which allows you to inflict more damage to the AA then you have your naga to finish it off!
Titans have no melee penalty which is really good!

What on earth has that got to do with the speed? That's the opponants move, not yours!! And titans can't take as much punishment as some of the others

Oh, got it! That's not the way I play though. But if I am attacking your castle, my black dragons would go first and kill 1/2 your titans b4 they could move, right? (not willing to lose here!)

According to Greek Mythology, titans are gods only gods can have battle with them. I also think titans should be the strongest creature in the game.

He was also, if you remember, remarkably easily tricked by (herculies, was it?).
And if it was herculies, he also helped the Gods vanquish the giants in the final battle. Gaint's are un-upgraded titans, right?
