Help..please!

So I had Heroes 3 of might and magic and installed WOG..everything was fine till I added a new town that replaced Fortress a few weeks later, I prefer having fortress tbh so I tried uninstalling H3 and WOG but i'm unable to install H3 again..

I'm using Windows 7 it worked fine when it was installed..now it just doesnt let me install it, nothing happens when I click on install

Can anyone please help me?

thanks in advance

First a curiosity: Did you install the Grove??
And second did you unistall it by erasing it or of course with the program AND did you have armaggedon's blade installed?
Because I did have that problem of retrieving the fortress in a windows 7 computer but i reinstalled it with no problems.
Oh and another thing do you have checked the task manager, prehaps the process started but not the install program.

From what I understand, it is Grove...

And for the problem - if you REALLY uninstall the game...
erase the entry in register... it should help...

Portraits of units

hello, I have a problem with replacing units portraits. I have changed some defs but I am unable to change portraits. Where should I put the pictures of units? It seems to me strange that its not to Heroes3/Data where I changed hero portraits.

Extract DEFs with MMArchive, extract frames and HDL-file from DEFs with DefPreview, replace portraits of changed monster, compile new DEFs with H3DefTool (open extracted HDL), export new DEFs to H3Sprite.lod.
Profit.

Problem with: TwCrPort.hdl

I have a problem. I can't make a .def file from TwCrPort.hdl, because I receive message from Def Tool that the Portraits don't have the same size. 60% of portraits are 13kb, 20% are in 12kb and the rest is in 5kb size.
Any ideas what should I do?

I have already managed to change .hdl to .def files two times (each change was only one portrait of unit). However this is the first time I want to change 80 units. Could this cause a problem?

You talk about weight, tool asks for size.

First I thought I had incorrect number of .bmp pics, but it was alright.
Please, specify more what you had in mind by writing weight and size.

It's about image size (height & width) in pixels, not about file size (weight) in kilobytes.

Thanks, I found the mistake. One of pics was 64x64. Once again thank you very much.
