The below is from Blizzard's official site, in case anyone uses "LinkedIn." Oh, on the front page of the D3 site is a list of changes in an upcoming patch. It looks like they are moving in the right direction.

Very nice set of proposed changes.

I'm pretty sure the game will be quite awesome after summer

Don't slaughter me here.

The game is so trivial.. Now I have done played the game through three-four times.. and Act 1 is boring every time and act three is tiresome as well.

I cant seem to find the energy to keep going on doing the same quests - I guess this factor is the same that made me dislike Diablo 2.

That's how Diablo trilogy and the whole genre work. If you find it boring, those are definitively not your type of games

There are few games I can recall losing interest in as quickly as Diablo 3.  As soon as I got to Act 4, the wind was knocked out of my sails.  I haven't played the game in weeks now and have no desire to do so either.

Act IV is the second worst after Act I for me - too short, the fights take place on a Protoss Mothership most of the time, you're actually helping the Protoss to drive back the Zerg (of course they are failing miserably without your invaluable assistance) and in the end you fight Kerrigan. Too copy-pasted, even for Blizzard.

Well, I am a protoss guy so

But you are right, Diablo looks like Kerrigan Thought that yesterday, when I stomped Diablos face into the floors of heaven.

And act 4 is too short, but it is good.

Just completed hell yesterday with a friend of mine. He's playing a wizard and I'm playing a monk.
We just have had SO much fun with this game so far specially when I got to lvl 60 and had those NV come into play ( never realized that that was in the game ...D'OH....right ? ) but after a while trying to pull my friend up to lvl 60 too I had the NV constantly on 5 and with a few mf items on we finally found 2 good weapons wich made our attacks go from ~ 4.5 to almost 9k a hit, and MAN did that help
We tried Inferno after that, but when my buddy realized he was getting 1-3 shot by the common walking deads from act 1 we decided to give it a rest and come back after a little hell farming - Never actually thought that I would say that , being one of those that never ever got through  act 1, hell, in D2
But we are having SO much fun with this game ( mind you, we are only casual players with the code ; Nothing get's left behind, so every vase, cave critter is going down once we've encountered them )
BUT.... I have a feeling we have to remedy that code after we've sunk our teeth into Inferno molden, firechains, illusionist, immortal minions = NO WAY,JOSE !
But, man it's fun
Next stop, to get either my WD or Wizard geared up and ready to Hell difficulty.

Exactly the opposite for me. I'm on Act II on Hell and I'm bored. I have no intention to spend dozens on hours replaying the same level just to get extra gold and maybe some better equipment just so I can survive 10 minutes on Inferno so I'll not be finishing the game any time soon. There's zero development from one point on and repeating the same motion until the last convolution of your brain becomes flat is just not for me.

After having made my Staff of herding for inferno, i passed it over to my barb that just hit nightmare. So my and my friend go in and The Teddybears and Unicorns totaly roflstomp us into oblivion. I guess it is a bad idea to enter an endgame area of nightmare as soon as you enter nightmare. But it was still funny.

Well the only part of the game that i am so so so sick of is part 1 of act 1. Seeing as i played it with all classes in the open beta weekend, On Demonhunter from Normal trough inferno and inferno farming. Then On the hardcore characters for solo and with friends and every class you want to try out has to do it. Besides that nothing interesting happens on the first part of act 1.

Eventho the game is made a bit to easy by being able to chain corpse throw your own corpse against elites. Even with the incomming Repair cost raise, it is easy enough to farm an area with 5 NV stacks and get all the money you need to pay for any repairs that you would ever need.

I stopped playing Diablo 3 a while ago. When Blizzard gets a lot of patching done I'll have another look at it. It is quite obvious they rushed it out the door with little to no playtesting of most features. I knew when they made so many changes so late in the devolpment cycle and released the game so soon after the changes that things would be bad.

Just cleared the inferno last week and killed diablo, took quite some time, been stuck in act 2 for a week and act 3 / ghom for quite some time.
Boring but i still play it I don't know why ...
Probably due to the farming level 63/legendaries and identifying addiction i guess.
Pretty boring game, but h6 was a letdown as well and in terms of multi player, let's hope something good comes along soon.

I think I've voiced some complaints about D3 already in this thread. I'm not going to take the time to list all the things I don't like about it. Suffice it to say (for me) Blizzard abandoned many of the things that make Diablo 2 great.

Diablo 3 is too slow paced, especially in inferno. An ACTION role playing game should be fast paced (action) instead of the slow slog that is is a result of the large number of insame monster affix combos.

Diablo 3 has no build permanence and no character customization. I don't feel the same attatchment to my D3 characters as I feel for my Diablo 2 characters as a result. In D3 every wizard is every wizard. Identical attributes, they know identical spells that are identically powerful.

I played hundreds of different characters in Diablo 2. In Diablo 3 there are very few viable endgame skills meaning very little replayability for a class. For me.

The itemization is the most terrible I have ever seen in any arpg. Really. Boring, bland, unimaginative items. Sets and legendaries are useless.

I could go on.

I realize Blizzard is supposed to address some of these things in future patches. I've stopped playing for now. If anyone is having lots of fun with the game as it currently is, more power to them. I've just stated my opinions and why I have left the game (after many hours of playtime.)

I really think Blizzard's focus is on the RMAH and has been from the beginning. The game obviously was not playtested well and was rushed out the gates. With so many huge changes just before release and things cut just before release it seems obvious to me that a lot of the blame for the state of the game go to management, though I don't think the developers are without blame either.

Okay - I am going to say something that might get me killed: I hate Diablo 2 - that was boring game.

I really enjoy Diablo 3 - I agree that it is indeed a lot of the same stuff, but that was the same with D2!

I think they did a clever thing changing the skill system making. I think there is a lot of fun stuff to play with, combonations (though also a lot of useless stuff)

What was changed just before release?

Diablo III is so far nothing but a waste of money!

Me and my friends prefer Diablo II above all blizzard games.
So we started from the bottom again this weekend, and played through Normal, Nightmare and Hell with an OrbWall Sorcerer, Wind-Druid and a Javazon.

D3 is too simple compared to D2. Everything from your inventory to the equipments itself. Uniques with overpowered abilities, and blizzards way to screw fans in the ass by focusing on earning money above solid gameplay. No runes (To use as sockets).. Boring characters with only 2 possile builds! (Offencive or Defencive)
---
You could play D2 through 50 times if not more more, because of each character could be build in so many ways.
Necromancer: Bonemancer, Cursemanser, Summoner, Skellymancer and so on..
Amazon: Bowazon, Javazon, Fendazon and so on..
Sorcerer: Blizzard, Meteor, Cainlightning, Weatherwoman, OrbWall, BlizzBall, OrbBall, MeteOrb, HydraOrb etc. etc. etc.
--My way to say, blizzard! Go home and reinvent Diablo 3, and push it 5 years more to make it full of options and possibilities.. At least try to make it better than D2.
