We ran out of physical copies way before the release in Bulgaria and since I decided to get the game literally one day earlier, I went for the digital edition. 60 euro (expensive, yes, this is more than one fourth of the regular salary outside the capitol) but the stores announced prices of about 58-59 euro for the DVD before they ran out of copies, so yeah, it was tough decision. Given that Blizzard seem to pay just a little above zero attention to Eastern Europe (less than 80 Collector's editions for the whole country here, from what I heard), maybe you'll be better off with the digital edition as well.

So, what are your favorite classes, everyone?

Monk.

The guy is like created for me. All of his skills are great; all. And I created some sort of a build with him and stuck with it. Didn't change the abilities much. I don't remember having this much fun for a long time.

But he is immortal. I didn't even use potions much and never died. I think he will get nerfed much in the future. I'm looking forward to playing him in the next difficulties but I'll finish normal with every character first.

Now I'm playing with Witch Doctor and I don't know how he will survive in act III and IV. His primaries seem a little weak at the moment.

The WD is really good, but I guess he can be kinda tricky playing considering that most his spells are 'damage over time'-types and strange in general. His most useful skill by far is his Soul Harvest, use it correctly and you'll have a huge boost in damage. (Actually in my opinion it's so strong that I can't see a reason not to use it.)
I guess that most important thing with the WD is to make sure you have spells that work well together, because a lot of them don't or rather they can, but it might be hard to figure out how.

Normal is no indication of any character's effectiveness, the real test is the higher difficulties. On Nightmare the champion creatures + the unique ones and their minions get A LOT nastier than on Normal and I already have one death during the first half of Act I with the same immortal Monk. Granted, I could've avoided it if I was a bit more careful but it's a good warning nonetheless. Certain champions from the next Acts are just bound to be a problem.

Unfortunately, at this point I find Diablo 3 to be more of a cash grab by Blizzard than an actual pillar title.  What bothers me is how recycled the entire games feels, right down to locations, Acts, and bosses.

It's still a fun game but it demonstrates how complacent Blizzard has become.

Frankly, Blizzard is the last company in the world from which I would expect innovation. They are famous with the polishing of their games, not with some bright vanguard ideas. Moreover, Diablo is a game of a simple concept and respectively its execution can not really be complex (although they've taken the simplification a bit too far in my opinion, as I mentioned on the previous pages). I agree that the Ctrl-C - Ctrl-V of three of the Acts is cheap but I expected exactly that so maybe that's why I'm not disappointed. I'm even slightly surprised that the overall presentation of the game via dialogue, cinematics, cutscenes, etc. is not very pompous and some of the time even looks natural and fitting - unlike the terrible Hollywood-blockbuster-for-brain-dead approach that they took with StarCraft II.

My wizard is level 60 and advancing through Hell. I've mostly played solo. Act 2 was quite painful. Some of the champion/elite pack abilities are quite ridiculous. Too many creatures can pull you in close to them or jail you. Blizzard needs to tone that down. I think many of the spells are quite useless on the higher levels and need to be rebalanced. Blizzard made so many changes soon before the release I'm quite sure they did not have time to do the kind of playtesting that was necessary.

I've got my stash size maxed out on all three tabs (need more tabs!), my blacksmith is level 8, and my jeweler can combine square gems into flawless square gems.

I look forward to trying out the witch doctor.

Oh, and lots of accounts have already been compromised and robbed according to the official forums. So much for "online only" being safe and secure.

Agree a lot !

WDs abilities are really good when used in the right combo.

I use Grasp of the dead + Unbreakable grasp = Snared. Then I bomb the hell out of them with my Acid Cloud and Firebomb

And yes Soulharvest is great - what Rune do you use with it? Right now I use Life siphon as I need some health now and then.

Else I use my Guarantuan and Spirit walk. + templar as a tank

This combo works really well for me, and still works well on nightmare. But it sucks on bosses. I don't have a good rotation for bosses yet. It takes me about 5-10 minutes to kill a boss Since minions are no use, they are one shoot.

That's hardly the only problem. The server issues during the launch day were nothing unexpected but since then there have been at least two more outages, one of them ongoing at the moment (scheduled to continue for 8 hours, cool!), not to mention partial disruptions and disconnections while playing. I'll give them 1-2 more weeks to adapt their machines to the load and if these disruptions continue, I'll download the first working off-line crack that pops up.

I mainly use Rain of Toads, Acid Cloud with blobs and Locust Swarm. Other than that, Wall of zombies and then I change between Hex, Horrify and Big Bad Voodoo, depending on my mood.

For Soul harvest I also use Siphon, as it can be quite the life saver.
Got to say though, Rain of Toads is the most awesome ever!

To change the casual "how to click correctly" discussion that summarizes the gameplay of any Diablo game, a question about the story. What do you think of it? I have quite some adjectives in my opinion but I'll share them later.

I think the story is alright. They had to jump through hoops to bring Diablo back from the dead though. I'm curious how they are going to get an Act 5 out of an expansion in light of the ending.

SPOILERS in case someone doesn't know what's happening in the end already (either way the story anything but hard to deduce even for a complete rookie in the universe).

Adria's alive and missing and being the... uh... mastermind behind Diablo's revival, she probably hides some trumps. The actual explanation will probably be lame.

The Black Soulstone is also intact or at the very least we don't see it destroyed. Given that it's a huge plot device (containing enough plot holes to create a black hole), we'll probably see it exploited again.

I agree with Elodin, the story was  alright. However it could have been executed a lot better, things should have been left more in the dark. It should have been more of a subtle storytelling, and the cutscenes a bit toned down.

SPOILERS...
Personally I think it could have been made longer as well. Azmodan for example became one of my new favorites,(apart from his obesity and cheesy dialogs) but he wasn't given enough room. So imo act 3 should have been much longer or maybe even two acts.
I assume that everyone also found the third cinematic to be the most awesome. It becomes even cooler knowing that Azmodan is speaking to Diablo and NOT to Leah. (Or at least that's what's being speculated, and it makes so much sense.)
Oh and by the way, I think Diablo was terrible in this game. Diablo is supposed to be the Gordon Freeman of villains, but instead Blizzard gave him the most boring and non-inspiring speeches ever. He just couldn't shut up. I also dislike his current form, the way he looked in D2 was the way to go. (but I understand it; Leah being a girl, 7 evils, blah blah blah...)

rain of toads = sick ! it puts them down so fast!

Agree with you - act 3 could have been made into two acts.
Azmodan and Belial didn't seem so evil to me, since I wacked Belial with an hour and Azmodan had some hearts and then his fight was awful - avoid stuff and hit from afar

Diablo's new look is good actully, It grows on me.
First I though to skinny and girlish, but it's good when you look at the details - though mephisto seems a little dominating

But yeah, a longer and deeper storyline would have been prefered.

Whatever, the Monk's primary tools for killing hordes of enemies without breaking a sweat are still there. Serenity still seems to be active for 3 seconds on you and Mantra of Healing, apart from Boon of protection, has lost only part of its initial boost but otherwise still provides pretty good life support. I've recently discovered the devastation that Cyclone Strike (especially with Wall of Wind) + Lashing Tail Kick with Sweeping Armada can cause and certain other skills of the Monk remain powerful as ever so yeah, I'm not impressed.
