the trailer was pretty awesome.
Imo the crusader is just another Zakarumesque zealot, a recycled paladin.
Let's just see what they manage to cook up.

Not getting anything until I have several non-fanboy confirmations that the game is several times better than the original (i.e. at least decent). It happened with Diablo II -> LoD so it's not really impossible.

From what I read, most of the new stuff (loot 2.0, Nephalem's trials, etc...) will come for free for the vanilla game as a patch (source). That's something at least...
PS: If the expansion only adds 1 class, weak addon imo

with their cinematics, blizzard always got me in the past... NOT anymore! lol
D3 was rly a step back from D2 in so many ways.. from the skills, atributes, items to the story, the personality of the characters.
Man.. come on, in D2 Tyrael was like a mystic warrior, an enigmatic and wise character..
Also Diablo and his brothers.. anyone remember the dark wanderer? D2 story was full of mystery..
In D3, the constant dialogues of diablo with the player in the act4 was terrible.. Diablo sounds like a stupid 9 years old kid bullying his friends at school..
Blizz needs more than cinematics and promises to convince me, but I admit that the closing of AHs was a good news.
Edit: just to clarify I'm referring more about the storytelling than the plot itself.

Yeah, I read somewhere that you'll get most of the things in this 2.0. The xpack would add the crusader, act V and level 70.

But don't think they will add just that.

yeah, we have to wait for the blizzcon.. I'm still far from giving it a chance..
For this kind of game, I'm more interested in Grim Dawn.

I don't want to raise expectations too much, but since they changed of Game Director it seems to be heading into a much better way, with loot 2.0. Add to that the elimination of AH and the stuff it has been leaked of RoS and you can be optimistic. But, as usual, until Blizzcon, nothing final.
In the end this situation reminds me of Heroes VI: very bad release of the game and most of the fans from the communities enraged. So in case you are not satisfied with D3, my advise is to don't but RoS when it release, and read reviews/comments of fans before jumping into it, so you won't have to regret in case you don't like it

I agree, and it's interesting that u mention H6, I had a bigger immediate disappointment with D2 than H6, I think that's because I had no idea how badly coded H6 was until I started reading the forums, so in my mind everything could be fixed/improved with time. Also I was sold by the H6 artwork.

No offense, but I think this is one of the biggest problem on the videogame industry nowadays: a lot of people buy games just by the graphics, and because of that companies (publishers) give more importance to graphics that proper gameplay. And it's a shame...
But I guess you learnt the lesson

Yeah, I admit that, but besides the graphics I got H6 without thinking twice cos I'm a fan of the franchise, the same happened for D3.
And after seeing how h6 would end, still bugged.. I don't even bother getting SoD..

I'm not sure what they expect exactly. I play mostly on PS2, and I think graphics are fine (well it depends on the game). I have to admit that black ops 2 had impressive scenes of destructions, but you don't care much about it, especially when it has no incidence on the way you play.
