In my humble opinion, diablo 3 is a major disaster (kinda like homm6), by far the worst game blizzard ever made.

I'm planning to get the game after the expansion hits. I liked the beta, but I noticed inherent flaws with the system (notably poor loot, auction house madness and stuff) and skipped it. Judging by what I saw later, it was a good decision.
But now, with AH closing down and Loot 2.0 being promised, along with higher maximum CLVL and new character... why not? it's still a fun game if you just want to kill stuff.
On the other hand, there's the path of exile, too... So many games, so little time. Meh.

There will be Grim Dawn too, I guess. I got high expectations for this one, considering titan quest +exp was a really cool game.
About path of exile, I played it a bit many months ago, I think it was march.. the game was in open beta.
It was a cool game and felt more like a diablo game than d3, imo. But I didn't like much of that crafting system. Crafting was a gamble, but in a sense that you could completly f*** up your items by doing it.
It wasn't just about of losing materials, or gold, or something like that. In a crafting session you would more likely end up with a "weaker" version of your items. For me, it felt a bit like masochist gameplay, so I quit. =P

I just watched the Q&A panel - Man do they struggle with even getting the audience to clap at their new take on the game....
And ( in my humble opinion ) rightfully so. People really want something more than just 1 act and a new class. I know they have implemented a lot more "new" things like the bounty killer mode, but after all, it's just ( mostly ) old semi bosses/ pack leaders in already known enviroments....
Look ,we can make a skeleton move backwards now !!! ( Clap clap ? )
I don't even want to commment on the "scarab" video sequence ! Guy's It's 2013 !

That "probably going to buy it no matter how much it sucks" is the fuel of everything that is wrong with the game industry nowadays. Seriously, if you feel disappointed before the expansion is even out, don't encourage Blizzard to suck even more. Diablo III has major core flaws anyway, it's unrealistic to expect that it will get much better with expansions given the mainstream developer attitude about minimalistic gameplay additions combined with tons of make-up and marketing fraud, so why not at least wait for some feedback?

What a disappointing Blizzcon. Yes, the game is going to improve with RoS, but man....they just limited to confirm what they leaked before, and not all of that if I'm correct. No new class no new act no date nore price, no PvP..I see the spanish fansite lurkers enraged and not happy at all.

Yeah, that's what happens when the publishers push for a game built around always-online DRM and micro-transactions, but gamers are asking for it, too, when they buy these games like mindless sheep. You can count me out of such stagnation. I don't blame the developers because it's the publishers that have no passion, and they're the ones in power. /end rant

rented this game, its fun, tempted to buy, but I wonder if it will retain my interest after a few weeks?
Anyone still playing this or does it get boring kind of fast?
Edit: I will say I had to take it back if I wanted to get anything done around responsibilities!!! lol

yea they could've done a better job at it. considering how much we waited for it they managed to snow it up good. there were some good decisions, but the whole atmosphere sucked compared to it's prequels.
The only legit game I bought in recent years after all. Dunno if I get the expansion right now, after it's launch, maybe when it's 99% off. or something like that.

After dissapointmemt that was Diablo 3 I promised to myself never to buy any additions to it. Well I was wrong patch 2.0 that came free was pretty impressive so I caved it and bought the expansion. I can say its much more fun then vanilla game, crusader is the class that suits me perfectly and act 5 is better then first 4 combined.

I completely agree with this. The game is great now. Diablo 3 was awful, from the point I've finished I said to all my friends that it is too short, endgame is just grinding the same spot with same skill build over and over again hoping to get some items.
But now, to be honest, it is the true sequel of Diablo 2. I am enjoying it a lot, playing with friends in adventure mode etc. Removed AH which is big plus in my book. This is all coming from a guy who never was a hardcore fan of hack & slash games, I played Diablo 2 up to 30-40 and couldn't stand it anymore, same happened with Diablo 3, but this time it is different. To bad the first Diablo 3 wasn't this good.

That's....saying a lot. From what I read on a spanish forum, the expansion is a great addition, but not on the level of a Diablo 2 sequel is expected to be...because that would be a lot.
And if you say that you didn't play D2 that much
