The only game I have played that are close to Diablo is Torchlight, Nox and Titan Quest. While they are certainly good, they are nowhere near as good as Diablo is.
Diablo 1 has one of the best game feels in the world.
Diablo 2 is one of the best games in the world.
And I'm sure Diablo 3 will have both awesome feel and awesome gameplay, D3 will goddamn rock!
I can't wait dammit. (I still don't wanna play the Beta though...)

Oh well, I think Diablo III will be their first fail, I actually liked the first Diablo games, Warcraft and Starcraft, But if they don't make my Paladin, how the hell i'm going to smite demons with a great sword?
Seriously the class that has been recurring in Diablo, and Wow has been Deleted? The reason is they want to take out the bonds with old things.
I guess that if I buy it i'm going to try the Demon hunter (if it can use swords).

There was also no Paladin in Diablo 1. Each Diablo game has different classes except for Barbarian. And I think that's a good think. Imagine Heroes series with the same units every game. And saying a whole company like Blizzard and the game Diablo 3 will fail only because there is not that specific class you like is irrational.

No i didn't mean it, such is my opinion, i meant for me, anyway I considered the Diablo 1 a paladin why?
because it wasn't a barbarian, no really as far as I remember you could give him some magic.
Anyway about the third for me it will fail because the atmosphere isn't the same, (no i'm not saying 3d is a stupid thing) just my thought is about the new things (perhaps i'll better shut up ) guess my opinion is a lot more confusional than I thought better if I stick to the old classic Diablo and verify if I remember correctly

Diablo 3 looks good and all BUT certain things about D3 makes me want to stay faaaaaaaar away from it.
I rather stick to D1, D2 and Torclight 1 and 2. Kinda regret about gettin SC 2, seeing as Blizzard makes snow hit the fan alot lately thanks to their own fault and Activision's mendling. Just saying, cant say much good about EA either, had my hopes up for them but then Origin came smashing down...

D1's atmosphere is still unrivaled after so many years.

D2 is still a truckload of fun.

I hope D3 will combine those feats...

D2 is fun only if you have a 24/24 hours hardcore bot working. Otherwise is like playing lottery and never winning, addictive and destructive. Once you made all quests several times and helped thousand nubs to pass through, the only fun is from PVP hardcore, but then you need goodly items. Which you never find. Getting constantly killed because the other had a better bot is frustrating.

Agree on the atmosphere, unique.

Well depends on the player. For instance I simply enjoy the carnage - the loot is a nice addition. I had many chars that operated with max efficiency with average gear (unless you consider stuff like enigma godly of course.) I weren't really into PvP... the game isn't too good for that imho (sync problems making projectiles invisible - hi hammerdin, numerous issues with skills, legions of hackers)

That is not true at all.
The difference between each class by far outweights the value of items. Further more, the 1.11 items and the 1.13 rune drop increase did to a large margin provide easy accsible items, which aren't much worse than the top items, without the need to use "cheats".

E.g. a necromancer specialising in bone speels with 1 point invested in revive and a teleport amulet can take out most amazons, barbarians and paladins.
A wind druid can take out most necromancers.
An assassin with mind blast and some type of damage provider (most often traps) can take out most druids, necromancers and sorcerers.
A paladin using blessed hammers or smite and charge or teleport from an amulet can take out most amazons, assassins and barbarians.
Etc.

It's more often about being able to use your skills wisely than having the highest health and highest damage output pr. second.

E.g. a paladin using vengeance or an amazon using charged strike have some of the highest damage outputs in the game, still they should never be able to win against anything with minions and teleport, or even just teleport alone, which is easy attainable through charged items.
Likewise a barbarian transformed into a bear have the potential highest healt in the game of some ~25000 hit points, together with one of the highest attack speed at an amazing 8.33 attacks pr. second. Such a character would be utterly destroyed in pvp.

It is a good move, IMO. In Diablo 2 there was a parallel business ran by russian hackers, and prices were too high. Better buy at source and regulate the prices.

actually iirc it's private beta - "friends&family" one.

I have nothing against items sold online - there would be such sites anyway, see countless diablo 2 item shops. I just won't buy them, and as long as they are not exclusively for online buy and undroppable in game, I don't care.

Correction: Elly was right. Public beta has begun.

@DarkLord how is this any different from this ? It's not like Blizzard did something that's not popular for other games, the only difference is that they support it and not some Russian hackers/botters.

@ Doomforge

Don't know / just expressing my opinion about it..
i mean its getting tooo commercial!
The game will be hacked ANYWAY!!! Blizzard can do nothing about it!
but inspite they are making the user to suffer
the internet connection for single player sounds waaay tooo much for me!!!
and the selling items is like another chance to get some more cash!
i don't think it's fair to the gamers who prefer to actually deserve whatever they get,
rather then Fanatics who are ready to spend their money in order to get strong heroes!
not everyone will buy stuff from various Hackers..
while Blizzard is strongly promoting people to spend even more money..
i am just saying that is not fair! gamers should have a gaming universe that is based on "Fair Play" rather then "cheating"!
but repeating it's just IMHO!

Blizzard never made business from selling D2 artefacts, but russian hackers did. So I think Blizzard choose the right way and by this will end parallel business. In both cases there is NO FAIR play, so I prefer buying from Blizzard than from Ivan.

Scre* both Blizzard and Ivan, just like Darkie II said, I want to play and develop my character and I want to be a part of a community which will support such type of game instead if hacking, bypassing game time by buying items etc.... In my eyes it is the same as cheating and sort of kills the fun....
Maybe they should split us up into two teams, team A will be upgrading themselves with the help of Aleksey's of this world and greedy companies while ream B will be growing slowly but based on their own skills....
