"Replaced" the Lampades.
Split her seductive and bad-ass into two seperate entities.
The result I'm rather proud of.

Thinking of updating the Efreet to compensate for the Champion now being even more feminine.
Masculine Efreet would now serve the faction's balance better.

Still working on replacement for the Forge Fiend.

Replacement for the Forge Fiend is in.
And Nighty, I'm suprised you like my Empusa actually, I felt I was maybe fuelling your "Beauty Contest" argument a bit too much with my new champion, glad you like it as much as I do.

If you can't find any artwork for what you want, gimme a call, I might find time to do you an artwork favour or two.

Thanks for all the enthuisiam from everybody, really pleased with all the feedback.

Was that a response? the point is I do not want to take any pics of anartist or such as artwork in the creational game - only from those willing to help and draw it for us. And since your pics are awesome, I'd be glad if you would d some...but it will be alter anyway, since we first have to roughly determine how they shall look like, anyway

Focus of development of this faction has now stopped.
I will still take feedback into consideration, and may still apply alterations, like possibly new and improved art for the Efreet, but for now I'm going to focus on my other faction idea rolling around.

Any further feedback, particulairly analythical feedback is highly appreciated, if somebody brings something important to light that they think really should change/be added/be removed, I will be interested in hearing what you have to say.

@Jiriki, I'm flattered, but "Lair", my other faction, is going to be draining a lot of art-time, and the creational game is a project of rather epic proportions, a little bit beyond me actually.

Anything smaller, like say an individual faction, I'd be a lot more willing.

From All the fan made faction present at this moment I find this one the most interesting and promising.
It has a good idea behind it. Is well constructed and gives a larger depth to Sheog and its inhabitants.

One thing I particullaery like and need to highlight it, are the self made and interesting artworks.

Another plus is the fact that you just do not copy myths and creatures, but inspire yourself and change/transform them.

The Only thing I feel sorry for is, that I liked the former Cyclops style forge find better then the new unit.

I will fallow the development of this faction. and would gladly give you a quality star for its creation, if I could.

maybe I did not quite explain myself. I did not mean it like "hey, mrdragon, please come and draw the artworks for the whole game." More like that, when we are there, which probably will not be in the next moth, if I can come to you and ask you to draw some certain creature arts or such.

Ok, I came back faster then I expected, but I'm having a little art-block with my Lair faction and thought I missed something, so here goes, the deeper line of thinking behind these creatures, their tactics.

Tactics

Eurynomous
Role: Heavy Melee, Defender

The Eurynomous I designed by applying my experience as a Dungeons and Dragons DM, and how I see "Defenders" or "Tanks".
Many players who play a tanky character will stack on loads of defenses, investing in good armor, picking feats and abilities that make them more resilient, and whilst this to some extent does help their jobs, it also hinders it.
As a DM, when running intelligent monsters, I will try to avoid attacking the tanky characters as much as possible, because hitting them is a waste of attacks.

The Eurynomous gets around this by having a defense with a gaping hole in it specifically for the enemy creatures you'd prefer to have attacking it instead of it's more fragile faction-mates.
Shooters and Casters often set their sights on your Shooters and Casters, because, let's face it, those are the most immediate threat and often have poor defenses to boot, making for very cost effective attacking, leaving your melee to tango with theirs often.
The Eurynomous however is so resilient to melee damage that NOT using ranged attacks and spells against it will leave you with a problem, a problem your melee creatures swiftly can no longer deal with.

In specializing for melee on melee combat, it makes itself a more attractive target for the ranged damage often reserved for your more fragile creatures.
And it's Fist of Chaos is just another weapon in this arsenal as it's best used against creatures with high defense, which often tend to be bulky melee.

Tatzelwurm
Role: Tactical shooter

Tatzelwurm before upgrading is a simple shooter with a neat defense mechanic, causing enemies to move away from it, when it upgrades however, it's ability to do this at range can be devestating, it synergizes with it's melee faction buddies, blasting an enemy formation might send enemy shooters and casters running forward, putting them a turn closer for your melee to tear em apart, not to mention that with clever unit placement and spells you can even use it to completely deny enemy melee from attacking their desired targets for a whole turn.
Overall, it's a powerful ability, thus I restricted it's use to once/twice per battle.

Baku
Role: Light melee, anti-caster

The Baku exemplefies the theme of the faction, it's affinity for magic and it's ability to grow/adapt/change, ironically enough, the faction, especially early game with it's reliance on the Baku and Eurynomous for the serious damage, is very weak to a well-placed slow spell or similar debuff, and the Baku's ability to drain a spell's duration and later it's spell-power, directly combats this.

Erymanthian
Role: Heavy melee, chaser.

The Erymanthian does best when you pick for it a target and just let it wail on it, it is especially evil in it's ability to completely lock down an archer stack without wasting turns on movement, your opponent must rely on clever use of summoning spells or unit placement to free any archer stack that the Erymanthian has chosen to persue, this is especially synergistic with the Tatzelwurm's well placed ability to scatter and possibly move forward enemy shooters.
Once the upgrade turns up, it will likely never miss an oppertunity to attack the target it was attacking previously.

Chimera
Role: Medium melee, crazy synergy beast.

The Chimera synergies with EVERYTHING, even a clever opponent can try to reap some of the benefits.
The Chimera attacks, the defending creature's defense (or resist after upgrade) drops to allow the Chimera to deal the best possible damage, but this effect lingers, allowing the rest of your creatures to exploit this lowered stat.
Chimera attacks physically? follow it up with physical damage.
Chimera attacks magically? follow it up with magical damage.
However, the opponent can use the reverse of this ability to increase the defenses of it's units when he wants to, sure they deal reduced damage, but it might be just the right spanner in the works to mess up your game.
The upgrade however comes with nasty poison to slightly reduce the tempting target for enemy melee at least.

Efreet
Role: Light melee, caster, high damage.

The Efreet has got great utility spells and synergies especially well with the Chimera through it's two wishes, drop the wish on the target, then use the Chimera through carefuly planning your moves to reduce the opponent's defense against that specific form of damage at just the right time to really get the most out of that wish.
It also links up with the Erymanthian once it's upgraded by stacking on slow, causing the Erymanthian to be able to slow the enemy even more and refresh it's duration.
Finally it adds some good utility magic through it's other spells.

Empusa
Role: Heavy Caster.

The Empusa comes with a unique mode of attack, that... you guessed it, synergizes exceptionally well with the Chimera.
Because the Empusa when using Domination does not rely on it's own stats but on the opponent's instead, having the Chimera attack a target, thus likely raising it's offense by lowering it's defense, makes it a great target to dominate and make use of this increased damage.
The only downside to Domination, is that it requires enemy stacks to be adjecent to each other.
Not to mention it's plethora of damaging spells being the perfect attack to follow up the Chimera's magical attack.
Finally it packs a powerful deterrent in it's pre-emptive retaliation when upgraded, something it needs to make up for it's relatively lower defensive stats then other champions as most champions are designed to dish out their damage in melee.

Thus concludes the thoughts behind the abilities of the creatures.

@Nighty
I actually think I've got a decent idea for an Argus actually... not making any promises though, but it might just be what I'm more in the mood for right now then a Gnoll (which may or may not turn up in the "lair" faction as an homage to HoMMIII), cus the Gnoll just will not come out right...

Edit: Now with a special Art folder on my deviant art account for this project, it's on the first post in the faction's description.
Also features a colour draft for the Erynomous and faction in general.
Edit2: Added Faction Symbol to the first page.
