Buying HOMM3
I want to buy H3 and possibly H4 but I'm not a big fan of sites like Amazon. I would prefer to buy it digitally like in Steam.
Does anyone of you know of any place where I can find it and easily pay for it, preferably with PaySafeCard so I don't have to use a creditcard? Thanks.

GoG version is precracked using No-CD and isn't original. Think about it.
P.S. Sorry to tell this but Since 2010 the 3DO games are abandonware, and feel free to download it from any available sources

Umm, where did you hear this? Does that apply to all HoMM games (1 -5)?

Abandonware as far as the rationale behind it that people use to avoid calling it piracy is that the game is not being sold and therefore unavailable any other way.
For all the Homm games that's sadly not true.

For all the Homm games that's sadly not true.
It is absolutely impossible to buy 3DO's Heroes Chronicles: The Final Chapters (Revolt of the Beastmasters & The Sword of Frost) for example. This game is generally not even released in USA! 
In Europe only 500 Multi-2 (German/English) copies of the game are actually confirmed.
It is impossible to buy Heroes Chronicles: Clash of the Dragons(3DO) and nearly impossible to buy Heroes Chronicles: Masters of the Elements(3DO) due to the tiny circulation.
The Heroes of Might and Magic for DOS (NWC first original 1995 release) are really hard to find and very expensive if you actually find it. The first Heroes of Might and Magic for Windows 95 (feb 1996 release) is nearly impossibe to find.
The same apply to original Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars and Price of Loyalty expansion (NWC/3DO).
Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death standalone expansion (3DO's 2000 release) is nearly impossible to buy.
etc etc etc
The only things you can actually buy for reasonable price is crappy third party compilations with no audio tracks done by Ubisoft or GoG electronic distributions that are not approved by 3DO!
If You're lucky you can buy Heroes III Complete by 3DO (version 4.0). Sadly this version have some bugs and not complete at all (the Myth and Legend original Restoration of Erathia map is missing for example).
For these reasons the majority of the 3DO's products can be recognized as abandonware.

Interestingly, a few years back I wanted to play the Fallout series. My brother loaned me his CDs and I spent multiple hours trying to get any of the games to install. He visited and tried. Never worked. So, we went on the internet and found free versions of Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics released by the original game designers. Classic versions of abandonware.
Less then a year later Fallout 3 comes out and within a few months of that I see a combo pack of the three original fallout games for sale in a major retail stores. I'm guessing those free versions were halted and the games ceased to be abandonware.
I guess the lesson is you never know.

I was also looking Heroes Chronicles for a long time but i finally managed to find them.If anyone wants them just pm me and i will send you further instructions.I would put it here but it is against "rules"
