The Faey (OOC)

Yo. New RP here guys.
This RP takes place in an early renaissance/ high middle ages time period. Yes there is magic in the world, but all sources of magic from the alternate dimension called the Faey. In the current world the RP takes place in, Gaiaros, the only sentient beings inhabiting the land are humans, but occasionally a creature from the Faey may enter Gaiaros and be stuck there. Humans can also enter the Faey for a short amount of time, but in doing so gets infused with magical energy until it overwhelms them. Faey creatures keep their magical power as it is within Gaiaros, but the Magisterium, an extremely powerful organization based within the Praximus Empire (the largest body of power in Gaiaros), hunts down the ceatures of the Faey to absorb their magical power whether for study or for simply gaining power. Occasionally people are born with Faey powers, but it is sporadic and typically not very powerful, though there are those that are born with superior Faey energy.

The players of the RP play as Witchhunters. Despite what their name says, they don't actually hunt witches anymore. The Witchhunters were formed originally against a group of powerhungry Faey witches that entered Gaiaros to conquer the world. The Witchhunters were able to capture them and seal the portal to the Faey. The Empire at the same time formed an organization that operates outside military or civilian control that was to capture and study the Faey and the creatures within. This became known as the Magisterium. They persuaded the Witchhunters to give the captured witches to the Magisterium, whose leaders completely absorbed the powers and life energies of the witches, making them extremely powerful mages with a virtually immortal lifespan. These leaders then formed the Magisterium Conclave, who completely controlled the Magisterium.

In the present, the Witchhunters now protect the world from abusers of Faey power and the occasional creature that enters Gaiaros. They try to avoid killing the creatures of the Faey, but would rather just kill them than hand them over to the powerful Magisterium. The powers of Witchhunters renders them extremely resistant to Faey magic and heightens their strength and speed. Yet in these days, the Witchhunters no longer number in the thousands they once did. There are only several hundred of them now. You are one of the newest initiates that have passed through apprenticeship (unless you want to start out as an apprentice). You all are to be placed in the same group under a commander and his first officer. Every now and then on your missions you have to work in cohesion with the meddling and often troublesome Magisterium Templars or occasionally their spies, the Chosen. I'll start off when at least 3-5 people have joined.

Your Commander.
Name: Aronius Balehart
Age: 40
Callname: Gray Wolf
Appearance: Tall and broad. Very muscular. Has long shaggy hair with streaks of gray in it. Also has a a bit of scruff on his face. Also specked with gray. Blue eyes.
Weaponry: He primarily wields a long broadsword with a round shield, but also has a dagger and crossbow.
Background: Aronius is a famed Witchhunter for having defeated and captured the powerful rogue sorcerer, Naerac. Despite the many commendations and promotions he has received over the years, Aronius never wished to leave the field, instead using his influence to accelerate his younger brother Contus, who wasn't fond of fieldwork, to becoming the head liaison with the Magisterium and Praximus Empire. Aronius has not had good relations with the Magisterium, as he despises their power hungry and often cruel methods of control. He is against the Witchhunters joining the Magisterium. Aronius did use to have a romantic relationship with someone, but he never talks about it and only he and Relaus knows what really happened.

Your First Officer.
Name: Relaus Contarios
Age: 38
Callname: Blue Hawk
Appearance: Slim and lanky, but lean and wiry. Has short dirty blond  hair with green eyes. A thin mustache.
Weaponry: Has a single shot pistol, 2 shortswords, and precision scoped crossbow.
Background: Relaus was Aronius's best friend ever since they both entered apprenticeship together. They were nearly inseparable as apprentices and Witchhunters. However, Relaus also seemed to be in Aronius's shadow, as Aronius came from a very prestigious lineage and Relaus was the son of a fisherman. Relaus never minded, however, and was content to simply be as he was. Relaus doesn't hate the Magisterium as Aronius does, but instead attributes their meddlesome characteristics with the Magisterium and Witchhunters being completely autonomous from each other. He supports the Witchhunters joining the Magisterium, thinking that it would make their jobs much easier, but doesn't want the Witchhunters fall to the depravity of many of the Magisterium's Orders.

Oooooo, the Fae (Adding that "Y" on the end doesn't fool me)? If I can be on the side of the Faey (Actually, if I could be a Faey), then I'll join this new RP. Otherwise, I'ma have to skip this one.

Hmmm...I'll allow it, but you cannot actually be in the Witchhunters then and the Magisterium will be in yo grill pretty much all the time. You'd also be the main subject of at least the first portion of the rp as well.

Oh goody! Now what Fea creature will I be... Where are the witch hunters starting at? Knowing that, I'll be able to make a little monster for them... (If it's next to the water, you'll be forcing me to make a Kelpie), and if you guys actually manage to kill me (Instead of merely driving me away), then I could easily make another Fae creature.

Eh I'd prefer if you were a stable character, probably someone important in the FaeY world like a prince/princess or something so that the Witchhunters would rather take you back than hand you over to the Magisterium which could end up in a cross dimensional war or something.

The Witchhunters will be starting off leaving the Witchhunter fortress. Our first assignment could be to find you or something, which can happen a little later on. In the meantime you can go around dodging the ever annoying Magisterium.

Fae are the original faeries and elves, evil, twisted, magical and varying in variety. They are all the old creatures of lore minus the dragons and the Rocs.

Faey was just rather similar..... So I'ma have to use some old myths for my character, at the least.

Alright then, here goes.

Name: Black.

Race: Doppelganger

Occupation: Knight of the Nine.

Powers: Like all Doppelgangers, Black can shift his body into any living mammal's body. As long as it has a mind and self-consciousness. Unlike most of his kind, Black also has the ability to morph himself a suit of... wait for it... black armor. He can create and manipuate fire with his amulet.

Items: Longsword that never dulls or rusts and the amulet given to him by the King that alows him to control fire. Both are permanently bound to him, and are destroyed upon his death.

History: Black made quite a distinction for himself in the veangance raids that he participated in and eventually led against the Magesterium and the humans who had hunted and kiilled the Faey for so long. His fervor and leadership, as well as his skill and loyalty, caught the King's eye after a while. Black was watched by agents of the Faey, to see if he was the right soldier for the King's new honor guard. For three years, Black ran  rampant through the human world as the villain known as the "Black Knight," though he wasn't actually a knight yet. He thwarted and killed many members of the Magesterium and bested many Witch Hunters boefore finally being defeated and forced to retreat by the Witch Hunter Luther. For his actions, they day that Black returned and was recoveder enough to walk, he was promoted to the King's honor guard, the Knights of the Nine. There is a knight for every color; blue, red, green, black, white, yellow, orange, brown and grey. Black is the highest, Yellow the lowest. The Doppelganger known now as Black was given his new name when he was promoted, and leads the honor guard and a decently large army. For years Black has waited for an assignment, waiting for his king to hive him a quest worthy of his rank and power. In those years, Luther has died and his bones turned to ash by the passage of time, the Magesterium has grown in size and power and the Witch hunters slowly began to die out. Finally, his king had given Black a quest, after being silent for so long, "Destroy the Magesterium, who continue to commit attrocities against our people, even after everything we have done to stop them. Knight Red, the Vampire, will be leding a small force to aid you and your soldiers."

And so Black left with a contingent of thrity other Doppelgangers accompanied by Knight Red and ten vampires. They have been loose in the Human world for a while, split into small groups of no more than 4, causing mischief in the hopes that the Magesterium starts sending agents to investigate what Faey are causing these disturbances...

Yes. But its typically only used while actually on assignment or in battle. In more casual conversation, your real names do fine.

You can give yourself a codename or I can issue one.
