New version came out.

Some of new things are: new units' portraits, new heroes, hero on map screen, new units' sounds, new dwellings and a little bit different music theme.

Authors: Witchking, Trith, Chad, Obserwator, Hobbit and Acid Cave community (especially desmond, Kastore_pl and Ullialnor).

Of course there are some bugs, but they will be fixed as soon as possible.

Now we're talking!
I'm going to test that soon(ish), provided I'm motivated enough to

a) actually start playing H3 again (if anything I'm playing H5 now, which, I guess shows how many damns I give about H6 and associates)
b) install VCMI (which also requires ERA/WOG, that I need to install as well)

In the meantime, there is a lot of Forge themes and whatnot in my Heroes VII concept I'm working on atm. (I might be pushing it a tad, but meh, your opinion is valid.)

HotA Crew presenting a new 6th level creature of the HotA's Forge: the Sentry Droid. It based on the design of Might and Magic 6 Terminators (according to the plot some of terminator droids had been found, researched and disassembled by Kastore and then it's details had been copied in the Heavenly Forge and re-assembled).
Sentry Droids replaces Minotaurs for some reasons.

No, seriously, it's a bad idea. I mean - really. Do whatever you want, but I tell you - it won't fit the game and even the Forge at all.

I agree with Hobbit

As much as this unit and makes sense in Forge... It simply doesn't fit in H3.

Notice that all units in the game, including neutrals and even WoG creatures are humanoids or beasts.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against machines, but this one has just too simple geometry for a regular unit. It will look weird.

I don't know, maybe it would work as a new war machine or something euqally unusual...

Yes, they are present, I can read. The problem is there is nothing so... simple as that in HoMM3. Even the animation itself looks like something I made four years ago and was so ashamed of it that I've never shown it to anyone.

Honestly, I don't get how a floating sphere could have decent animation that would really look like attacking, defending and moving. Using different lasers/force fields could barely make a difference. And what else could change in such simple creation? Rotating with different speed?

I know that Forge is supposed to be unique in various aspcets, but I see no reason to make it weird if not necessary.

I assume this concept was taken directly from Ukrainian Forge, yes?

Actually I had similar concept in my head four years ago. And no, it didn't make my model any better.

If you really want it as a unit... I was talking with Trith and he thought that some guy using this as a "weapon" would make much more sense. Since you already had something similar in your concepts several years ago, how about you try it?

No, you're wrong. These droids were conceived in the our Forge campaign (initially as powerful neutral units) long before that Ukrainian Forge been released.

And I like the idea of this droid. But in Ukrainian Forge droid looks like 7th level unit. And this droid is to small to impress.
I think it must be 2hex big at least.

While I personally enjoy the Droids, they don't look like a 6th level unit...At all.

IMO they fit more into the 1-3 (eventually 4) level range.

You to say that you created them long before M&M have been released.
They appeared in MM, and not UF, not your Forge have authority to them.

We're speaking about the idea of placing this M&M unit in forge, not the creating of it. I degged into my files and found a concept of re-designed M&M droid that we planned as neutral for the story purposes even before our team joined hota team. the concept was created in 2010, so there is no way we're stealing other project's ideas.

I like droids more than minotaurs. Although level 6 could seem a little overkill, droids from MM6 were quite tough.

If I were in charge of doing this mod (something impossible because I don't really support Forge despite of being a big fan of M&M series and enjoying the Sci-Fi finals), I would create them as level 6 units with low health (around 60, but taking less damage from spells) and quite harmful (around 17/20 attack and 25-30 damage). I would also create a special skill for the upgraded unit (in MM6 upgraded terminators could kill instantly), something similar to the Mighty Gorgon skill.

Lol, UF have files of 2010 in their distribs, so the question is open.
More, they produced droid first (ripped from MM), concepts don't bother no one, I also can make some concepts that will be similar to other creatures, this don't mean, they have plagiated it.
